Their work completely exceeded our expectations and the contractors on site were fantastic. We are elated with the results. Neil is an absolutely great carpenter. He is a perfectionist and he will spend whatever time he needs to ensure the job is worthy of EK&B's reputation. Scott was very reliable, we never had to worry if he or the other contractors were going to show up, and he always does a professional job. We were very pleased with his work and his approach. Robert was also great. He oversaw much of the onsite construction and checked regularly to see if we had any questions or concerns. As for Brenda and Megan, well what can we say except that they are the creative keys to a successful project. They helped us every step of the way, offering ideas for our kitchen that we would have never thought to do. They asked the right questions and helped lead us to great choices, much beyond the scope of our original expectations for the remodel. And they provided much more than creativity. Their attention to detail was evident at every meeting and in the Project notebook they created. Everything they do demonstrates true professionalism. We prepared for the final walkthrough by going over the work several times to see what was needed. We only found a few items, which were expeditiously corrected. But when Brenda did the final walkthrough, she added a couple items that we did not notice. She then had these promptly corrected. This is as good an indication of their insistence that the job be of absolutely perfect quality as any praise we can offer. If you want a fantastic job done, you need look no further than EK&B. But the proof of our satisfaction is that we will be contracting with them to remodel our utility room and bathrooms.

A whole aisle of just chisels, tons of planes, saws, lathes, and cool turning tools I've never even heard of. I saw lots of different kinds of wood stock, and a bunch of cross cut slabs ready to go. So much more than that but there's a sample. I wasn't in there for anything in particular, just checking it out, but I overheard a few conversations with the staff, and they really know their stuff. They also hold classes there for people of all levels so you can learn how to use routers, lathes, scroll saws, or seemingly anything else you might want to use to shape wood. If you are thinking about starting a wood project, start here instead of a big box store, these people will give you some individual attention and help you find the right materials.

He explained the differences between all the different products and helped keep me within my budget. I loved how he offered additional ideas of things we could do with any left over portions of the granite. I would definitely come back here again.

I used Silex to install new granite countertops and and an undermount sink. This was a very bad…read moreexperience. First they sent out someone to make a template. As I watched I made a comment that the old Formica countertops rolled up at the back to join the backsplash. This would not be incorporated in the new design. He told me it would not make a difference for the template. The day the installers arrived with the granite they discovered, as I suggested, it made a big difference. Almost one inch of each piece had to be cut off in my kitchen. My entire house was filled with granite dust. Next, they did not properly install the undermount sink. No brackets or clips were used, just silicone. I am repairing that the best I can today. I have attempted to contact the company and even written them a letter and have received no response. Use someone else!!
