    Prestige Awards And Trophies

It pains me to give Prestige Awards and Trophies a 1-Star, since it's a local business and I'm it's…read morefirst review. However, Gwinnett County has a right to know how incompetent these folks are. My service here was so terrible I'm half-convinced the owners are using Prestige as a money laundering front for a more nefarious enterprise, which I pray they run better than this one. I called Prestige Trophies on a Monday morning asking if it would be possible to obtain a 3" x 1" brass name plate to pick up Thursday afternoon. I repeat, a 3 inch by 1 inch brass plate, engraved with a name, meant to attach to a portrait frame. The literal bread and butter of a trophy shop. So I wasn't surprised when the owner said that shouldn't be a problem, and asked me to submit a request on their online portal. I did, and on Tuesday I called again to make sure they received the order. "Yea yea we got it!" the owner said, "Should be able to whip it up in a couple minutes." I should've been satisfied, but the owner's casualness was oddly off-putting, and the stakes on my obtaining this plate were high since I was presenting this portrait to a 40 person group that Thursday night. So I called again on Wednesday to ensure it was ready to be picked up tomorrow. This is when Prestige Trophies lost their prestige. The owner asked if I'd gotten an invoice yet. No, I responded, I hadn't received one. "Well we can't fulfill your order if you haven't paid for it yet." I replied that I literally can't pay for it if I hadn't received an invoice, and was more than willing to pay in store when I picked it up. Then I reminded him how tiny the order was and he appeared reassured, "Okay okay, that's small enough we'll have it done for you. Don't worry about it." I most definitely should've been worried about it, because when I called the next morning before I left to pick the plate up he'd seemed to change his mind. "Man, I can't do this right now, we're not making this for you unless you pay for it." I, once again, could not pay for it, because I, once again, hadn't received an invoice. I reminded him that I could pay in-store and that he'd promised to make this item on three separate occasions over three days, to which he responded, "Sorry man but I can't make this anymore. You're out of luck." I haven't had my trust violated so blatantly in my adult life, not since I was 4-years-old and my brother tricked me into walking off the side of a pool with my eyes closed. In a final display of incompetency, the Prestige owner then recommended I call another engraving shop... who had stopped doing engravings in 2017. I was distraught. If a trophy shop couldn't make a 3" x 1" engraved brass plate in 4 days there was no way I'd find another shop to make this item in 4 hours. In desperation I called Athens Trophy Shop and told them my sob story. "A 3" x 1" engraved brass plate?" the Athens Trophy Shop owner asked in a deep southern accent, "That's easy dude, I don't know what the hell was wrong with those last guys. We'll have it done by 4pm." 4 hours and $20 bucks later I had my plate, and came out of Athens Trophy Shop convinced that Prestige Awards & Trophies was run by imposters who had no business being in the trophy industry. The owners of Prestige are the Dr. Death's of the trophy world. They don't know how to cut or engrave brass plates, don't know how to send out invoices, and most importantly, don't know how to keep their word. You cannot trust that these folks will have your order on time, and I urge you to go anywhere else for you trophy, award, and engraving needs.
