I've been to maaaany OTFs around the country & this was at the lowest end on the quality scale…read more The workout is always the same across the country so it was a great workout, but the trainer wasn't so good & the machines were not in great shape. Pros: It's conveniently located off the highway & has lots of parking. The bathrooms were big & lots of lockers to store your stuff. Workout was consistent & I liked that the trainer could toggle the mic&speakers between the cardio & the floor (to not interrupt everyone when talking to a specific group). Cons: The trainer was terrible compared to the 50+ trainers I've met across the country at OTF locations. it was a 3G at like 5:30pm so 30+ people but no control over the class. Also, he didn't pass out wipes or even encourage wiping the equipment between switches. And, he told the class bye before stretches so 1/2 of the people left, then 1/2 milled around & he came over to lead stretches - very apathetically. Lastly, my rower footplate was broken - missing 3 of 4 screws & they didn't even have it coned off for no one to use.. and the treadmill was wobbly/off balance! When I'm back in Denver, I'll make sure to go to a different OTF studio... I've been to the Denver Tech one & it was great, looks like that's where I'll go next time :)

We're a close group of various fitness levels. Our instructor Katie shows us how to adjust the exercises so everyone gets a safe, challenging workout - the mom who's still recovering from a C-sec, the mere mortal (me), and our super-fit/training mommies. She's a personal trainer and yoga instructor and keeps the classes interesting with strengthening and cardio. Plus our Evergreen park location is stunning for outdoor workouts (we move indoors for winter), and reminds me how much I love living in Colorado. Our little charges range in age from baby to toddler and we entertain and incorporate them into the class. SS isn't just an exercise class. We have weekly playgroups, moms night out (or in), holiday events, and contests with prizes. Think you can't get a workout bringing your toddler? Or just "not ready" yet? I got the grand tour and saw all of the special workout rooms, childcare, coworker space, Pickleball courts, pools, recovery, areas, cold, plunges, saunas, and more. I loved how vast the actual gym floor was, with plenty of machines and free weights, everything you could think of, and not too crowded. Although it was a Saturday afternoon, I get the feeling that it's never unbearably crowded. They have enough machines to go around to avoid long lines. I got a great workout in, and then we hit the showers. We went in the sauna for a bit, as well as switched between the hot tub and cold plunge, it was really nice. I love that the locker rooms have everything you need, large and small towels, toiletries, and hairdryers The showers are hot with great water pressure and everything feels very clean. I had such a nice experience here. However, I don't think it's worth the membership price. Not only is it almost half an hour from me, but even if it was two minutes away, i don't think i could justify the $330 a month price tag. There's just not enough value there.
