Be my guest if you'd like to pay an exuberant amount of money on that rubbish. Now to Bashori, this restaurant is without a doubt the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to, and I have sampled numerous restaurants. The service is impeccable, the owners pride themselves in their food and service and it shows each and every time you dine or take-away. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. It's a quaint restaurant that has BYO if you dine in or if you'd like you can take-away. They open for dinner 7 days a week from 5pm. They have a nice cosy Indian feel to the interior of the restaurant or you can sit outside. All mains are under $20 and papadums are complimentary. You will not be disappointed ! :-)

I had decided to give this restaurant a try on account that it was local and hoping it could replace my 15 minute drive to Ceylon Inn down at Sherwood. Despite it being local, I was also drawn to the fact that it is much cheaper than Ceylon Inn. I wasn't impressed by the restaurant fit out. It was very basic and had no charm whatsoever. There is a TV inside playing Bollywood, which I am assuming is there to distract you from the dull surrounding and long wait times. The fact that is was very uninteresting inside, made waiting for our order so much longer. What took about 40 minutes to come out, which is extremely long anyway, had ended up feeling like an eternity. We ordered Rogan Josh, Tandoori Chicken and Bashori Lamb. As it took a while to be cooked, I expected a well cooked authentic Indian meal. What I got was bearable, at best. The ingredients used seemed cheap and low quality and the flavour bordered on mushy goo hidden in spice. Ick. I'd like to give this restaurant another try, because I'm hoping they've improved. I don't care too much for restaurant ambience, so long as the food is good it is all I'll remember of the experience. Unfortunately in this case, my first experience with them was not great, I noticed poor ambience and an average service. Here's hoping next time is at least 3 out 5.

The curries were excellent, much better than expected, the naan bread was a treat. One of the best Indian curries I have enjoyed in Brisbane. Great menu with something for everyone. The food tends towards the expensive but there are specials and you can take benefit of one of these. Looking forward to returning.

I've been here a number of times over the last year, and have been able to try a number of their dishes. The western staples: Rogan Josh, Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken are all done very well here. Throw in some samosas and naan bread, and you'd be doing well for dinner! It's pretty good value for money too, and they do dine-in or takeaway. They have lunch specials between 11am and 2pm, so if you're in the area or shopping at ALDI, I'd recommend you sit down and enjoy a meal. I also had the tandoori chicken naan yesterday for the first time and it was delicious! Probably a bit heavy on the ghee, so a bit greasy, but otherwise very tasty and it's a small meal in itself.

It includes a good selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. The buffet included about 4 vegetarian dishes, 3 meat dishes, roti, and two types of rice, south Indian dishes, and regular dosa server hot and Indian sweets for desert. The food is cooked with love as the owner (wife) does the cooking at the back of the kitchen. The food is cooked fresh and not pre-pared curries like most Indian restaurants. The meat dishes match or exceed the average Indian restaurant and the vegetarian items were very good. Additionally, the price was very good for the quality and selection. This may be the best kept secret in Brisbane for Indian buffets. They only give you a single plate for your servings and please do not get offended as it is understandable from my observation. This great quality buffet attracts a lot of cheapo customers & they seemed to hoard their plates like they just came out of a hunger program or from the Sahara. I witnessed their crude and poor manners and they do not seem to appreciate food but rather indulge in greed. The owner working the counter was a very humble nice man with commitment to his food. According to the owner, his lamb dish & south Indian dish are famous among many Indian patrons. I highly recommend this place and confer on the recommendations they were yummy.

This is the saltiest indian food i have ever eaten. Every single dish was over seasoned. There must have been a tablespoon of salt in the rogan josh in particular, maybe more honestly. Nice decor though. Would reconsider if over seasoning stopped. For now, can not possibly recommend.

I couldn't eat it and asked for a refund. Honestly tasted like they made a nice curry but then watered it down. The complimentary rice was dry too. I won't be ordering from here again.

The Chicken pieces were inconsistent, some were tender, some were not. Some had the flavour through it, most did not. Both my partner and I were not a fan of the Coconut Rice, and we usually LOVE that stuff. This Coconut Rice has actual pieces of shredded coconut and quite a lot of it. There was also other ingredients in it also, but I wasn't sure what they were. The naan bread was super oily and complimentary papadams given on seating were stale/soft/chewy. Experience: My partner and I came by Bite of India not knowing the previous business was no longer there (it was previously another Indian restaurant that we had been customers to for about 10 years). After entering the shop, I greeted any staff I saw. I exchanged some words with the lady who was manning the cashier once I realised they were new people. She said they'd been open for about 2 weeks now. I went outside to confirm with my partner that he was still happy to order takeout knowing the business had changed. We both agreed to try. We ordered takeaway (our usual of Butter Chicken and Naan bread) and expected the waiting time to be approximately 30-40 minutes but after paying by card she told me the wait would only be 15 minutes. We then opted to dine in since we were going to go somewhere else in the waiting time thinking it would be longer. She then told me the prices were different for dine and takeaway, which I know is normal, and I told her that would be fine and we will pay the difference. After being seated, she told me the difference would be $2. I told her I did not have any cash on me and that had to go and get some cashout. For $2, I would have appreciated being told not to worry about it. I ended up not being able to withdraw cash and asked if I could pay the $2 with card (there was a $10 minimum). After some conversation about her needed to ask the owner etc I was pretty put off the customer service here. After we finished our disappointing meal, she allowed me to pay the $2 difference on card and we left. As a new business, knowing that we were clients of the business previous selling the same type of food, you would think they would be more friendly and welcoming. The whole experience was terrible.
