We ordered Medhu Vada. Every bite had whole black peppers. Vada was half cooked. Did not have any taste. After we brought it to the attention of owner, he said Vada has black pepper. We have eaten Vada in various south indian restaurants and had never had this issue. We have eaten vada in this same restaurant before and never had this experience. There was no apology or concern regarding guest satisfaction. Horrible guest service. With this kind of attitude, this business will not survive too long. Only reason I came here was because it's so close to where I live. Would not recommend currys were awful,food took for ever on a Monday night. Ordered goat curry received a literal plate of bones. I know some places make it different but I mean there was practically no meat. Would not recommend. Take your business elsewhere if you know what's good for you. read more

My regular Indian restaurant was closed so decided to try this spot. The food tasted like it was made in someone's house with limited ingredients. I ordered a mild butter chicken and I'd rate it at a med-hot so the cook is definitely heavy handed with spice. It tasted overwhelmingly like pepper. The tandoori chicken was extremely dry and overcooked. The butter&garlic naan was very thin and dry, not what I'd expect for $3.50 a piece. Given the other reviews I read I was surprised with the food I tasted. I didn't give the place one star because other than the naan, their portion sizes were good. our experience has been generally good in the past and have liked the food. (THUS two stars for the past and one star for the present) but this last time a major dish in the catering order was lukewarm, bland, and sub-par. The response to my call regarding the matter was condescending, evasive and plain disrespectful. The owner rudely ended the call at the time of his choosing proving that - "when good restauranteurs proffer bad food they repent the mistake, but the proud restauranteur robs your food and slam the phone on u'r mouth!" Polly the owner was having a bad day, and I caused more aggravation. But certainly not the way to behave. To sum up - palate-wise it was okay. But his rudeness has left a lasting bad taste! SO GOOD! I visited this establishment for the first time and ordered the Aloo Gobi Masala (curry) and the Chilli Shrimp (appetizer) thanks to another reviewer. The curry was medium in heat and was delicious! The Chilli shrimp, oh boy, was so wonderful as well. Food has been horrible lately . I always order boneless chicken biryani and chicken tikka from the past two weeks the chef has been making it either with more salt no taste . Food is very very good and they now include naan with the meal. Very authentic spices and amazing to find this quality in a little tucked away spot. Allow extra time for preparation - they are not a fast food restaurant and it can take 30 to 45 minutes for food to be ready (we either pick up or use DoorDash). My wife and I are neophytes when it comes to Indian food, but what we got was delicious. Chicken 55 Biryani was rich with deep flavors. The Paneer Tikka kababs were firm, nicely marinated in Tikka sauce and seemed flame-broiled. The only thing I was not completely satisfied with was the Tandoori chicken. Although juicy, the flavor was rather weak. I chanced on one of the 4 different sweets (4 yellow balls with nuts and raisins) and although they had an unfamiliar flavor, it was sweet and rich. Service is great with greeting with the staffs. Food is very mediocre, can't tell from one meat to another since the curry/sauce is very thick and the taste overtake the tasteless meats. Window/glass wall has smudge wipe on it. This place has a lot of seating for dine in but this place is more like a fast food, you order at the cashier and they bring it to you. I was really looking forward to having Indian food but this place is definitely not it. I had lunch there today with a friend and it was fantastic. I had the paneer tikka masala and she had chicken curry both with rice and an order of naan. They are large portions, enough to take some home. The food was delicious you can tell it's made fresh and the service was good too. Won't go there anymore. Poor customer service. Went in to check it out. I was the only customer in the place besides my daughter who just picked up an order. I had already eaten so grabbed a mango shake from the refrigerator. Guy behind the cash register walked off when he saw that's all I wanted and started working on to-go orders for people who weren't there yet. Patience is bitter but bears fruit couldn't be any truer here. Though the wait was long the food was definitely worth it (just remember to order in advance to get around this). Very healthy cooking (dishes not floating in oil). Recommend the southern Indian dishes more than the North Indian dishes. read more
