Actually the worst experience I've ever had at an Indian Restaurant. I went in for lunch and ordered the lunch special (5.99) and three samosas ($0.99 each) to go. The lady working the cash had a baby behind the cash register. I understand clid care is expensive, but It's unprofessional to have your kid behind the counter and it's kind of dangerous having a child in a commericial kitchen. I'm fairly certain it breaks health and safety laws. After placing my order, I was instructed to sit down and wait. After 25 minutes of waiting, I got a bag with a container that was leaking. The woman who had rung me through was dealing with an inspector (health inspector I hope) and the man (whom I presume was the cook) rang me through (at my prompting, if I was dishonest, I could have just left). I was charged $12.50 for what should hace been a $10.12 meal. When I opened the leaking bag I discovered the bag contained no cutlery (which makes it awkward to eat rice). I got a plastic fork and knife from another restaurant then started into my leaking disaster of a meal. My samosas were first (since I could eat them by hand) and were dripping through the bag with grease. They seemed to be a phyllo pastry rather than the thick pastry I am used to, and the inside contained nothing but bland mashed potatoes. The only redeeming part of the meal was the nan bread, which seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave, since it was soggy and damp. It was (unlike the rest of the dish) passable. I tried the curry and the rice, and I can only assume I got left overs from the day before. The rice was hard and dried out, like rice you leave in the rice cooker overnight by mistake. It was cold, hard, dry and awful. The curry also seemed like yesterdays left overs. It was greasy and salty, like it had simmered over night and reduced. It also looked as if the chicken in it was just left over tandoori chicken that had been chopped up. It was also cold. Then, after eating a few pieces of the chicken and the rice, I decided I couldn't eat anymore. My friend tried some too and agreed that it was inedible and we threw it out. Then (I'll spare you the gory details) we took shifts in the bathroom for the rest of the afternoon. Needless to say, I will never eat at Curry Club again.
