    Currywurst and Berliner
    Diane D.

While in Berlin we had to try Currywurst! We enjoyed grabbing it at this great little location in the heart of things. A few tables to sit outside and a few tables to stand inside. Both the Currywurst and Berliner were excellent! I'd highly recommend. Service was fast and kind.

Got the vegan dogs here while in our walking tour and they're filling, tasty and reasonably priced. The fries were also good and the ketchup Gad curry in it that made it a little different. Wouldn't go out of my way to get it but if you're close and want a vegan dog then it's worth it.

    Both vegan AND original currywurst.

I wanted to try both original AND vegan. I have a sister that's vegan and one that's not. So when I came across this place, I couldn't decide which shoulder to listen to: the vegan shoulder, or the meat shoulder. So I went with both to hush them up. And both were really good. If you're a vegan, the texture of the "meat" is not as soft but still you get a good flavor. Basically the sauces give it the taste. The meat one, slightly softer, had that slight pork after taste, so yes there is a bit of a difference. I liked that the sausage wasn't so salty. The guy was so kind to do both...I think he still misunderstood that I wanted half and half but it's ok. After all, price is pretty decent too.

    Vegan curry wurst!

Vegan curry wurst? Ja bitte! I was so thrilled to find this via Google search as I have missed curry wurst since going vegan. Now I can have it again, with a clear conscience. Less greasy and salty than I recall the original tasting (it's been a while), their cruelty-free version is amazingly authentic. The curry ketchup is on the sweeter side, I like it a bit more tart. But damn, I devoured it. Fries were nice and crispy too. Curry wurst and a side of fries were about 6 EUR, more expensive than most places but you are paying for the location. Outside seating only. Don't miss this Berlin street food experience.

    Menu item #3 €7.90

If you're looking for Vegan Currywurst, you might be as surprised to find it here near all the other Berlin Wall tourist traps as I was. When I saw that they only had 3 options I didn't expect Vegan to be one of them. A menu #3 which is the Currywurst, fries and a beer will set you back €7.90. not too shabby considering the area. The Currywurst is only €3.00 by itself! but it's not very big. The dude at the counter was super friendly and excited about his product. He was eager to spice things up but since I was sharing with the wifey, I instead opted for some chilis and onions on the side. The fries were nice and crisp. It's not a large amount but we shared and were plenty fulfilled. They have 3 pumps out front for you to go buckwild adding ketchup, a tasty mustard and mayo if you wish. I wish they opted for a vegan mayo as I've been getting spoiled by it everywhere we go. The sliced seitan dog was fried and tasty. The sauce was missing something but it worked when mixed with the added spices. It's not the best Currywurst in Berlin but it's well priced, service is great and you would never expect to find a vegan option in the area.

I think currywurst just isn't my sort of food, but this place makes it well I guess. The sauce is thick and tastes sort of like ketchup, and they sprinkle curry powder, chili powder (well I'm not entirely sure this was chili powder, but it was some red powder), and some black liquidy sauce (soy sauce?) over the currywurst. The price is pretty fair too, at 2.50€ per order (2.50€ fries too). It's right next to the Berlin Wall, so it's quite convenient. There's also a souvenir shop right next to it, as well as some tables in front of the shop to eat at. Would recommend to try currywurst, since it is a German specialty after all!

It's a sausage stand on the corner near the remains of the Berlin Wall and about a block away from check point Charlie. The high flyer balloon ride and the trabant museum are on the same corner. They have only traditional currywurst, giant brats in a tiny bun, and vegan currywurst, plus fries. My group tried all three and had no complaints. For the uninitiated; currywurst is a typical Berlin street food. It's not spicy. It's a mild white sausage sliced into bite size chunks and covered in a ketchup-like sauce that is not ketchup. The currywurst sauce here is thick and tangy, with a bit of sweet, and they shake on both paprika and the curry powder as well as a splash of what looks like Worcestershire. It's as good or better than any currywurst I've had elsewhere in Germany. Fries were just ok. But a good part of this is just the experience. For those of us who grew up during the Cold War, the idea that you would one day sit inside the Russian sector of east Berlin eating currywurst at a sidewalk table and watching the sunset over the remains of The Wall was unthinkable. Outdoor seating only, I understand they close in winter.

I really shouldn't add a review but I feel I should after today. I found out about this place via yelp and looked forward to going. So today it was first on my list, I decided to walk from my hotel. Bad idea since it was 10 degrees outside, snowing, and my hotel is by the zoo. I finally found it, and guess what? It was closed. Yelp listed it as open but it wasn't. Disappointment. However the little museum there is fun, and it's right by the topography of terror. I still give it 4 stars because everyone says it's good, and on my next visit to Berlin I will probably try again. But be warned yelp isn't always right when it says "open"

The last time I was in Berlin, the currywurst wasn't memorable but this time it sure was. I love that they squeeze on Worcestershire sauce and douse the sausage bites in curry powder. They have an onion relish available and hot sauce to boot. Such a great snack after walking the wall.

My family and I went to this place before going to a walking tour! We found it on yelp and it looked good since currywurst is a big thing in Berlin. It looked touristy at first because of the gift shop but I guess that is fine because I'm a tourist. I am vegan ( the rest of my family is not ) and I was very excited about the vegan options. I got the vegan bratwurst with fries and my family just got the currywurst and bratwurst. The vegan bratwurst was really good but a little dry, but they usually are. Overall I really liked the vegan bratwurst and I was happy they had an option for vegans. The fries are good but just like any others. My family liked theirs a lot too and said it was great. It is only outdoor seating so if you are going in the winter I recommend bringing a coat. This spot is near the Berlin Wall so if you are going there I recommend stopping by here. Really good food and close to some cool places in Berlin.

Vegetarian currywurst. Not the best wheat protein product, but still pretty delicious.

Europe has become much more progressive than the States. Great to find Vegan Currywurst at the Berlin wall. Great taste and price.
