The shop is on Lexington Ave., NOT in the Apple Bank. Although CXI has many locations, including the JFK Airport, I felt more comfortable going to the Lexington Ave. store. CXI is very fortunate to have Eka as she is an exemplary employee.

One day I went to withdraw money for people with developmental disabilities because I was going to be out on medical leave due to surgery. The teller looked at me and asked if I can't break up the transaction and return another day. I told her that I would not be able to answer that question. she stated everybody goes through stuff and it's mad early in the morning. I didn't responded and left after my transactions.

When I have to wait over 15 minutes to ask for a teller when I am next in line seems a bit ludicrous which has me wondering if the employees know what they are doing. On a different occasion, the employee would not even let me withdraw money from my own IRA. He mentioned that I was not allowed to which doesn't make any sense. However on another occasion at a different Bank, I was able to withdraw. It just goes to show the competence of the employees. Honestly it is convenient that the Bank is in Mount Vernon as there is no Bank like TD however it does bring about concerns considering that they aren't sure as to what to do.

A&S Foreign Exchange is an excellent place to exchange your currency. In fact, it is the only place…read moreI have exchanged currency in NYC. The service charge here at A&S is certainly less than what you would pay at a bank. When you reach the address on the eastern side of Broadway around 32nd Street, you will enter a separate business, passing the counter displays on your right, and walk to the rear of the business to access A&S. This may be the only thing a person could find suspicious, but this is NYC and many businesses operate within another business. Get used to it. Some of the best finds operate this way and sometimes even more unexpectedly. The Gentleman can exchange substantial sums of currency. A few thousand US dollars of most currencies are well within the capacity of A&S, especially for Euros or other common currencies. I imagine if you are traveling to certain countries, you may want to call in advance to see if he has you covered. He will transact the exchange quickly and he has a bill counter that can count different denominations in the same stack accurately. You should bring an envelope for your currency and your passport or passport ID. He does not provide an envelope. 4.0 stars!
