The crust is like something from a dream that you never want to wake up from; it's truly out of this world. Everyone has their own exceedingly personal & specific ways they prefer to enjoy their 'za so to argue about which one is better is kinda silly. You like what you like, I like what I like - fuhgettaboutit! I recently made a trip back home & after so many hours on the road the first place we went was this specific location to get the world's greatest pizza. It was hot as balls, the place has no ac, but I would seriously kick 4 toddlers in the face to get another tray of pepperoni & extra cheese right now. I would kick 40 toddlers in the face for a location in Minnesota. 400. 4000.

It's an I-don't-feel-like-cooking choice. And the person answering the phone is the one who drew the short straw...and sounds like it. Carpenter's was none of that. And this is the first time I've ordered from them. The person who took our order was cheerful, quick, and laughed at my pathetic attempt at humor. Weird, thought I, but any pizza from a village as small and remote and with a logo that looks like a copyright lawsuit waiting to happen can't be that good. Plus, it's in the low 20s tonight, so let's fire up the oven so we can reheat it and we'll see. Turned out to be the best pizza we've had in the area and better than most we've had out previous homes in CBus & ATL. And still relatively hot. The toppings were a little sparse (got to say something so I don't sound like the mother of the owner). The sauce was good. The crust was the winner. Perfect. Keep it up Carpenter's. If you don't deliver to Bethesda we'll have to work out a meeting place in Belmont as a handoff.

I called to place a delivery order. A younger sounding woman answered (with zero greeting). After I…read moresaid I wanted delivery the was a moment of silence and she then asked where it was going in a way that sounded like she was super annoyed. After getting my address she asked what I wanted, and I asked for 6 slices, to which she said "Oh" which leads me to believe ordering a smaller number is an unspoken problem. She then said okay and hung up without telling me a price or time for arrival. So I'm currently waiting to see if it even arrives. I'm writing this before the food arrives as I'm not expecting it to blow my socks off with the quality anyway, but the lack of basic phone etiquette would prevent a higher review regardless of how the pizza tastes. UPDATE: I waited an hour after ordering to call them back and ask what the problem was. They didn't answer the first time then hung up immediately when I called again. Stick to DiCarlos; better pizza and better employees.
