My sons trucks passenger's lock was broken while some low life in Portland tried to break in. Curlys was able to help us get a lock replaced and keyed. Thanks so much for your help. Great service and knowledge. read more

Amazing service. Great integrity, hard working. These folks worked hard at programming our key fob. Very good at what they do and they've been around for years read more

After I waited an hour for another locksmith to help me get into my locked vehicle, I looked for another one on my smartphone (this time I went for one with good reviews) and I found Curly's. They were there in 15 minutes and sent an awesome technician (Cole) who made sure I was taken care of. I should have read reviews the first time! If I do get stuck again....I'm calling Curly's. read more

I had a very simple problem with my car key fob, the dealer was going to charge me $130 to tell me what was wrong, I was recommended Curlys and figured I'd just stop by before going to the dealer. The very nice man fixed it for me in minutes for no charge. read more

Very fast, knowledgeable and kind. Came in to get one key copied and one key made for a toolbox that I lost the key for. They did everything I needed within minutes at a fair rate. If I ever need a key for something I'll be going back to this place. read more

My technician Cole was very friendly and got here only 15 minutes after I called! My other locksmith never showed up after an hour and didn't call. Curley's got someone to help me very quickly. Customer service was excellent. I definitely know who to call in case of an emergency. read more

First they were a NO SHOW to an appt. Then when I called to find out what happened, they became belligerent. I was a frequent customer. But, I will NEVER use them again. read more

I called Curly's store asking if they had the type of car key I needed and if they could make me a copy of it. The clerk who answered the phone said "yes we have that key type" and I said "Great I'll be right over". When I got to the store, the clerk went to find the type of key I needed but it turned out that they actually did not have that type of key. The clerk apologized and said that he really should have actually physically checked in back to see if they really had that type of key. The clerk went on to say that he would order it and that it would arrive there via UPS at 10:00 a.m. the very next day. I said that would be fine. Before I left, I purchased a retractable key chain for $18.99 and told the clerk I'd see him tomorrow. The next day I arrived there at 10:30 a.m. and reminded the clerk that I was here to pick up the key. The clerk told me that the key wasn't there yet and that it wouldn't arrive until 11 a.m. After two miscommunications from the clerk, I told him that this is the second time I've been inconvenienced by coming here. Also, the retractable key chain I had purchased the day before hadn't worked out for me and I told him that I'd like to return it since I was there again. The clerk tells me that there will be a 15% restocking fee. I suggested to the clerk that since I've been inconvenienced twice now, why not waive the 15% restocking fee and call it a wash. When Kevin arrived at the counter, he said: "CAN'T YOU READ THE SIGN? THERE IS A 15% RESTOCKING FEE!" I told him that I had not seen it. Kevin went on yelling at me saying "IT'S FUCKING PEOPLE LIKE YOU THAT MAKE IT HARD TO RUN A BUSINESS!" I was shocked. Kevin continued on saying "IT COST ME EVERY TIME FOR USING CREDIT RUNNING CREDIT CARDS SO GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY SHOP!" I said to Kevin Son of "Curly" "just to let you know, I work for second largest employer in Vancouver and that word of mouth spreads very quickly. I'll tell everyone I know how I am being treated." To which Kevin replied "I DON'T GIVE A FUCK YOU ARE BANNED FROM MY SHOP!" I said to him "So you are getting this upset over $ 2.84.wow!! This is the worse customer service I've ever had in my life time." Michael. read more

Treated horribly when I went in to have a couple of GMC keyblanks cut. The owner shouted at me and called me a "CS" and told me to get out after I asked why they thought that they might cut the blanks wrong and if that happened they wouldn't be responsible for that. Whoever that guy was, he came unglued and started cussing at me telling me to "get the hell out of my shop!" I walked out, never to do any business with them ever again. read more

I am writing a review regarding my husbands experience with this particular location just an hour ago. My husband locked his keys in his car and we have no way of getting into it and are in need of getting a key just to open the door. He specifically called before hand to make sure they had the ability to help with that. The guy said yes and even said "this is a 'I locked my keys in the car' kind of situations", in which my husband said yes. He said he can do that. My husband drove out there and the level of disrespect And us professionalism from this guy was unreal. We did not get his name but he was wearing a plain blue shirt, shirt buzzed dark hair, beard. He immediately got defensive and short when he realized my husband didn't have the key and asked him where it was and he told him it's locked inside my car in the driveway, to which his response was "oh that's helpful....". Then Proceeded to pull up his computer and point out how there's over a thousand possibilities for this key and then said "what do you want me to do?" Absolute and utter shock a situation like this was handled in the way it was. Who talks to their customers like that? We will NEVER use their services in the future and will tell anyone who asks not to. read more

Had a great experience with Curly's. They were polite and easy to deal with when I called and arrived on time and performed the work in a timely manner. It's all I could ask for! read more

These guys may know locks but they sure don't know how to treat people. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. I hope I never have to darken their unwelcoming door again. read more

I have never had a more unpleasant experience as an almost-customer. I'm glad the man's rudeness deterred me from giving this place any business. If you want the full details, continue reading. I called to see if they could give me a new fob for my Honda. The man said they had a few options, but didn't know which one might work for my car. He said I'd have to look into it and find out. So I googled it and had a hard time determining what kind of key fob would or would not work. So, I figured I'd just stop by Curly's on the way home from work. (4 p.m., 7/21/16.) I told the man that I couldn't determine which fob I needed and I hoped he could help. He said, "You must not have understood me on the phone earlier." He went on to explain everything again. I told him I did understand, but I wasn't able to determine which one I would need. I kid you not, this is what he said. "You must not have listened very well. I told you that you would need to call the Honda dealership." I told him he hadn't mentioned that. "Yes I did, you just didn't listen." I couldn't help it. I started laughing and said, "You sure know how to talk to a customer... OK, so I need to call the Honda dealer." He said, "You said you didn't want to talk to me any longer." (I hadn't said that.) He refused to speak. So I left. And I'm glad. As I looked into other places, they were way over priced anyhow! read more

I had a issue with a credit card transaction and needed to speak to the owner about it instantly he blamed me for the issue. I said to him all I want to do is have a discussion about the issue he started yelling and cussing at me then threw his phone (on what I imagine was the front counter) picked the phone back up and said "F*%K you" and hung up. I will not waste my time or money there ever again. read more

Avoid this place. Matt was not truthful just about everything he was attempting to charge us for. First, when I called to explain my need, I was told it would be $165 to come to my truck and rekey it (four blocks away). I then asked what it would cost if the truck was brought there and a key made; I was told between $25 and $65. When I paid the business a visit and told Matt I was having the truck towed there and asked what it would cost he said "$165.00". I told him I had been told that was the price previously quoted if he came to my location and made a key, that it wouldn't be more than $65 if brought there. He said "this is a tough job and will take me two hours a, Ford Ranger is hard to fix" (It took Harry's all of 20 minutes). It reeked of a rip-off and I decided to look elsewhere. I did and a blessing happened; I found Harry's Locksmith who charged much less than half of what Matt tried to scam me with. No way can I recommend this business, go to Harry's you will get a reputable business that exudes professionalism. Just visit Curly's and when you walk in it is in disarray with no organization, just a messy place. And no I don't work for Harry's, know anyone there, or had or have any affiliation with it other than getting honest and excellent help from it after Curly's tried to take advantage of me. read more

I have been to Curly's several times since I moved to Vancouver to address lock issues with my twenty year old cars. This is one of the few establishments I feel undivided affinity and loyalty towards. The repairmen may be a little rough around the edges when it comes to communication, but they are extremely fair when it comes to pricing and they go the extra mile to solve problems. I will not use another locksmith. These guys are the BEST!!! read more

Super fast--came to my door within 10 minutes of my call. The work was done quickly, competently and inexpensively! I really do not know what more one could ask for. I will call them any time I need help with locks. read more

The owner of this company is rude and when his replacement keys destroy your expensive lock sets he will curse at you and not provide you with an explaination of why he claims the lock itself is junk after you have spent hundreds of dollars on your lock sets for your home. He has no customer service skills nor does his employees. Be caution about using his keys in your locks. I also believe that AAA washington should rethink there affiliation with this company, AAA members deserve more from the membership that they rely on. read more

I was afraid they'd have to drill the lock and I'd be out the money of having to replace a safe. I walked in, handed him my safe and literally 3 minutes and 15 bucks later I was on my way out. Very nice guy, professional and good at his job. read more

By far the best locksmith in the Clark County area! They go above and beyond to get the job done! Thanks!

Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, great value and fast, got the service I needed and was treated well.

I paid over $!00 to rekey a door. Despite coming back once the key did not work. When I called Curly to remedy the situation it became an argument. According to Curly he provided the service, he rekeyed the lock. He did not stand by whether the lock worked. Instead, from his office determined I probably had a faulty door lock to begin with. read more

I have done business with Curly's a couple times now with no complaints, however today created an exception. I called and spoke with the owner Dennis at the Hazel Dell location. I asked him a few simple questions regarding the services we received from their last visit which failed to provide me with the keys I requested. I took the high road and offered that the miscommunication of desired services was my fault and as a result I asked him if he would be willing to work with me on pricing as a repeat client I did not get what I wanted. He became angry, asked me if I was smoking pot, gave me a comparison of going into a fast food restaurant to ask for half of a meal because of a previous order being cold which only confused me as to why am I getting this type of treatment. He further went on to ask if that is how my mom raised me to ask for discounts. I remained calm and professional despite his angry tone and disrespectful comments. I said fine, no discount needed it was just a question and since I need new keys made how about he set an appointment to come back out and charge me again the same price to make the keys our business needs. To that he said nope, don't want your business, I asked him why and he said because you asked me for a discount and he apparently doesn't like that. Terrible business model, horrifying customer service that I needed to express to the public in case you call and speak with this man about any slight issue or request any sort of discount you may find yourself listening to an angry unkind man whose version of customer service lacks any type of integrity or thoughtful consideration. read more

I called the office to request a service call as I have in the past Explained to the owner who answered the phone That a tenant at one of our commercial buildings was having problems locking the front door of the suite. I expressed to him exactly how my tenant explained the problem to me as I always have in the past. When that was not enough info for him he got very angry at me. When I told him I don.t have any more details he hung up on me . I will not be using this company again. the way he treats his customers its seem he doesn't need the business. Very Very rude. I also found their prices to be high. Its for the best. read more

Today was horrible! The man who helped me, whom I assumed was the owner at Curley's lock and key, was so RUDE! Overcharged me for a key ($13) a couple weeks ago and it broke when I was using it. It is a simple standard ($4) key for an antique armoire.Took it back today and he said that they don't guarantee their keys, so he would not replace it. He said if I had the receipt then he would give me my money back. I did not have the receipt. I asked if I could buy another key then. He said it would have to be fitted to my lock. I stated that I've bought several keys over the years from antique shops, yard sales, etc.. and they are just standard keys, not fitted. He kept insisting that it had to be fitted. I asked him if I could just purchase it and bring it home, try it, and if it didn't work, then bring it back and get my money back. Nope, he wouldn't do that. Even though the first key I bought there was not fitted. He just wanted to be difficult and rude . Then I said, "OK", and walked toward the door, turned around and stated that I would not be returning and he said, "That's fine with me". It was amazing to me that anyone who is trying to run a business and be professional and keep customers happy would treat them like that. I have been using this store on Hwy 99 for over 30 years. After reading one of the several bad reviews of this man, it was mentioned that he accused a woman of making a homophobic comment to him...because I am a woman, now I know why he is so rude. read more

I went to Curly's to get a replacement door strike. Quoted $13.59 Asked how much to move a safe and was told they are not moving safes. I pointed to the sign on the wall that said they "move brand name safes safely" and asks who the sign meant moves safes. Kevin asked if I was f------ with him and picked up the door striker and told me to find one somewhere else. I went to Filben"s Ace Hardware on 63rd Street and purchased one for $12.98. He sure showed me! read more
