I had some concerns about Curbside Waste but these were resolved by the excellent customer service of a nice lady named Riley. Riley looked over my billing and made an adjustment that better met my needs. I now recommend Curbside, especially because of its good customer service. read more

Do not use this company !! They promise one price and then regularly try to upcharge you and you have to call to change it back. They regularly add extra fees fuel charge etc After you try to stop the service they call and fight with you to not stop the worst garbage service I have ever seen. When I started service with Curbside, the rate they gave me was higher than I was previously paying with another company, but I hoped the service would be superior and make the extra cost worthwhile. I asked *numerous* times before "signing the dotted line" whether the rate I was quoted was a promotions rate, and I was assured it was not. I also read all the materials I was sent before signing, and none of them said anything about the rate being promotional. A year later, I received notice that my rate was increasing by nearly 70%. When I contacted customer service about this, I was told my previous rate had been promotional despite being told directly before signing up that it wasn't. After a lot of back and forth, the company reduced my rate increase to a more reasonable amount for another year. The following year, I yet again received a rate increase of nearly 70%. I was informed of the rate increase 16 days before it would go into effect. I contacted them to cancel my account, which I had told them I would do a year prior if another exorbitant rate increase came through, and they then charged me a $30 "late cancellation" fee because I did not give them 30 days' notice. To be clear, they only gave me 16 days notice of the rate increase but charged me for not giving them 30 days notice. How am I to give a company 30 days notice when they do not inform me of a rate increase with that same notice? I contacted them through BBB to ask that they remove the "late cancellation" fee, and they refused. Extremely poor customer service, misleading (and even directly dishonest) business practices, and absolutely astounding annual service increases make Curbside a company to avoid at all costs. read more

I don't typically review companies but Curbside possibly has the worst customer service I have experienced. In order to talk to someone you have to sit on hold for 15-20 minutes. I also tried their call back feature and never received a call back. Once I finally got through to someone, they transferred me to a department with a voicemail only. I called back and they still wouldn't let me talk to someone to process my cancellation request. read more

We are a newer customer with Curbside, they recently spilled a large amount of recycling out of our bin onto the street. My office overlooks the front of the house, so I heard the noise and watched as the driver sat for about 2 minutes, leaning out the window and looking at the mess. He then set the can down and drove over all of the glass, which then exploded and shattered all over our street and driveway. It took over 45 minutes cleaning it all up and even so, I wasn't able to get some of it out of the street as it isn't a smooth surface (recently tarred and graveled). We have lots of dogs and children in our neighborhood, so it was important to us to make sure it was cleaned up very quickly and well. I've also watched the driver take the corners around our cul-de-sac at an unsafe speed. I have since reached out twice via email to Curbside about this, really just looking for acknowledgement and an apology. To date, we have received no response, although they've been responsive to other emails he's sent when they've missed a pick-up a couple times. This is a really disappointing situation. The absolute lack of care or consideration of the driver as well as the lack of response from their office should be considered if you're doing business with them. read more

I needed to cancel my subscription to curbside waste as they raised their rates dramatically on me right after my husband died. They wanted to charge a 200 dollar cancellation fee. For what? The trash was never picked up after the second attempt on Wednesday. The rep today told me the trash wasn't out at 1pm on Monday, that's a flat out lie. I have cameras at my property and I'm request a full refund for my service. This has been the absolute worst experience. Curbside sent a sales rep to my house to pull me away from my previous trash company all for nothing but a headache. From the beginning I've had to waste countless hours calling into customer service, each time nothing gets fixed. First, I was told by the sales rep at my door that he was taking my card info for auto billing and I clarified that I don't want to have to set up the billing, I want it on auto pay, he assured me that would happen. Curbside then attempted to charge me a late fee, I called into to have it adjusted, the customer service rep said they would fix the auto pay and refund the late fee.. the auto pay never got fixed for the second time. I had to call in again to get this fixed and refund another late fee. Shortly after that the trash didn't get picked up for no reason. This Monday curbside lied to me again, I was told today by the customer service rep that my trash wasn't out at 1pm. I am requested your camera footage on that. I have cameras at my house and the trash was out all day. I will be holding curbside accountable to their continued lies. I want the video footage. Lastly, the rep on Wednesday said they would come out within the next 24 hours to pick up the garbage and still today the trash never got picked up. Also, I am requesting a full refund from the original date of purchase with curbside. The amount of time and energy I've had to waste at no fault of my own is greater than what I've paid to curbside for their horrible service. I expect my trash is picked up within the next 24 hours or I will be also contacted the attorney general. read more

I cancelled my garbage service a few weeks into the summer with Curbside and they said it automatically cancels the yard waste service and I would not be given any pro-rated refund for the yard waste even though I paid for the whole season. Curbside Sales Representatives come by my house it seems like twice a week. We have No Soliciting signs because we have a baby and I work from home. They don't care. They ring the doorbell, ignoring the signs, and are not apologetic in any way when we point the signs out or tell them someone else was already by earlier this week. Wetell them we aren't interested, and the next day someone else will be right back doing the same thing. For this reason alone I would NEVER use this company. I can only imagine how disorganized and unprofessional their operations are when they operate this way. read more

Curbside Waste has really expensive service for weekly trash and they will raise the price and bill you without notifying you of the huge increase. They also tack on "Fuel" surcharges in excess of $20 for 2 months in addition to the extremely high 2 month trash collection rate. Now they are keeping my May and June two-month payment without refunding the amount back to me, without providing me any service for May and June since I cancelled their service today May 1st. $87 for nothing. That's the type of company they run so run away from this company. Better and cheaper alternatives out there. Stay away from this company. read more

November 25th 2025 9:19 AM pick up day for my neighborhood. Truck backed down dead end short street 5 houses. Hit the curb at the park entrance. Checked the truck bumper and sped up the street picking up one can on the south side leaving two cans on the north side. Never came back. Neighbor called about missed pick up which is quite regular. They just came out and picked up his can next to mine leaving mine still sitting on the street with garbage inside. Turned around and left. I called advising them of the second miss. Lady said they can get it on Friday 11/28 or will pick up on December 2nd. This service has been canceled with relief of not having to do business that cannot provide satisfactory service not even excellent service. Now I understand why they only rate 2.5 stars. I am surprised they have any stars. They charge over 35% + tax each $72.00 for fuel surcharge. read more

Their salesmen told people in our city they would cancel with the current provider. They didn't. That's an expensive lie to tell homeowners. When I called 6 months ago the management didn't return my call. I put up a review and the company said.to email me. I did. They never got back to me. That was 7 months ago NOW they cancelled their yard waste paper bag pick up. Sure, they will give you two extra of their huge plastic bins, but that doesn't do squat with a heavily wooded lot and who wants to store 5 large bins on their property for the entire year?! Plus, we got the flyer about the yard waste bags cancelation the day AFTER the policy started, which was also the day we had pick up and all our bags out. Surprise, surprise, no manager was available to talk to, again I was told they would call me later in the day. Guess who didn't get a call? Par for the course. Do not hire Curbside waste for your residential garbage hauling!!! I have had numerous bad experiences with Curbside, but the latest is absolutely the most frustrating. I am providing a review on behalf of my elderly father who has had Curbside for his residential garbage hauling for many years. He moved out of his Brooklyn Center home back in March and had previously contacted them to get his yard waste bin emptied and hauled away when service resumed in April 2024. The bin was emptied, but never hauled away - even though it sat in the street for weeks. Moving forward, on May 7th, he contacted them to have service discontinued as of July 1st, as we had a buyer for the home and no longer needed service. In June, he received yet another bill (unfortunately on AutoPay) for July and August service. He immediately contacted Curbside and they coincidentally had no record of his call and cancellation. Rather than being a decent company, they said he now must pay for the service through July 18th. The house has been sold for weeks by now and the buyer's want the cans gone to make room for their new service. My father, sister, and I have called and emailed numerous times and Curbside is refusing to pick up the cans until the July bill is paid. What a terrible way to treat anybody, let alone a longtime customer and elderly man. Shame on you!!! read more

Called early on 1/2 to report that their truck tore the wheels off my container and to arrange a replacement. I left a message and asked for a return call to confirm they were taking action. No response so called back 1/3. Phone wait time of 20 plus minutes, then suddenly disconnected. Called again and after a 15 minute wait, reached a contemptuous person who speaks English poorly. She could not have been less friendly or helpful but promised that my container would be replaced on 1/8. I sent an email confirming our conversation & asked for a response...nothing. 1/8 no new container. Called Curbside but 35 minute hold time so hung up. Sent another email, no response. read more

Avoiding hiring Curbside at all costs. I signed up for Curbside several weeks ago. My first ever scheduled pickup was supposed to be on a Monday. When it was missed, I called the next day and was assured that my trash would be collected on Wednesday. Wednesday came and went with no pickup, so I called again and was told it would be handled Thursday. Thursday passed, and once again, my garbage was not collected. On Thursday, I again attempted to reach customer support, waiting on hold for 15 minutes, only to be abruptly disconnected when I was apparently first in line. This wait was in addition to the hour or so I have spent throughout the week on the phone waiting to speak to Curbside's customer service representatives. Four days later and my garbage still hasn't been picked up. Simply put, Curbside's service, or lack thereof, is unacceptable, and they have not provided the services I contracted and paid for. My garbage has been left sitting out for days, attracting squirrels that scattered trash across my lawn and street, creating an unsanitary mess that has irritated the city. This repeated lack of service, combined with unfulfilled assurances and inadequate customer support, has left me extremely disappointed with Curbside. read more

Horrible and borderline criminal. At first they seem really nice, but as soon as their salesperson reels you in, the extra fees and rate increases begin. They just hiked up my yard waste service to $270+ without notice. I paid $99 last year and that's because I got my first year free (I began service from them in Sept and yard waste p/u ends in Nov. - so I really only got 2 months). Then they moved my yard waste account to Auto Pay and when I attempted to cancel and get refunded they said they can't refund auto payments. A bunch of BS! Also, their sales person completely ignored my "NO SOLICITORS" sign clearly displayed on my front door. These guys are just like every other crooked refuse hauler. read more

Serious internal issues within this business. We have been customers for less than 1 year and are unimpressed with the company. We signed up for yard waste because we wanted to start bagging our grass. The cost was nearly $160 for the remainder of the year (September-November). The price is what it is and we know yard waste services are expensive. They took payment right away and then for the next 2 weeks they just didn't pick up our yard waste... We called 3x and each time we called, they said they GUARANTEED someone would be by the following day. That never happened. Finally, they picked up the yard waste on the 3rd week, which at this point we had the bin nearly overflowing and paper grass bags they said they would pick up "for free". We were told we would get a call back from management which also never happened. They are now picking up consistently, but they must have some real communication/scheduling issues within their facility. Do not take money from your customers and then fail to deliver service!!
