Been eyeballing this tiny shack for a couple of weeks and decided to try it tonight…read more Damn. For a little place, their shit is pretty good! We had the carne asada mini taquitos and 2 tacos norteños, chicken and asada. The mini taquitos got great reviews by the girlfriend. They came with standard onions and cilantro. On the tacos norteño, i thought the chicken lacked flavor but the asada was outstanding. What makes these tacos are their homemade. Yes. Let me say it again. Homemade flour tortillas. I normally don't eat flour tortillas and just eat the filling but these suckers were cooked to perfection: a nice crunch on the outside while preserving the softness inside. Think of it this way. Like good barbecue does not need barbecue sauce, taco fillings should stand on its own without the help of salsa. The tortilla is just the vessel to get these tasty bites into your gut. However, the tortilla at this place, really elevated the tacos-went from not liking the chicken to scarfing that lil fucker down. And the asada, well, that lil mofo never had a chance-gone in 60 seconds. Lesson of the story boys and girls, don't judge a food truck by it's spinners.

Cannot believe I had to be the one to create this page. Ordered the *California Dog ($9) + *BurgerFries ($10). Highly recommend both. The hot dog was high quality meat. Could have been more avocado and fresher, but admittedly we visited later at night (during the Good Vibrations Festival in the Sunken Garden Theater!). The bun was crispy and slightly sweet. Grilled masterfully for maximum flavor! The fries, however, are the way to go. Comes with two full burger patties, cheese sauce, pickles, tomatoes, onions, + spicy ketchup. Topping some tasty good-sized waffle fries. Interesting combination of flavors, really loved the cheese sauce, even if it was not real (fresh shredded cheese would have been amazing), and the beef was well-seasoned, though a little dry around the edges (easily remedied by dipping it in the cheese sauce more). All in all, would love to return to try some other items, like the corn dogs and sliders!

Last weekend, I ordered a chili dog, but they were missing Fritos (boo!), she told me and asked if I wanted a substition. I declined, and she said the next meal was on her. Sure enough, last weekend I visited them again with the intentions of buying my food, but she had remembered and gave me my order on the house without me asking at all. Now the food. I've got to say, the poutine fries and curds are awesome. The fries themselves are a little limp and not my favorite, but the cheese curds are spicy and to die for. Works well with the poutine. I wish you could order just the cheese curds with poutine and leave off the fries. They have a good variety of burgers and hot dogs including Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese, Guacamole, Mushroom Swiss, chili, Poblano, queso jalapeño burgers.
