Overall I'd say 3.5 stars. Thomas Woodrum's two guys did a nice job on our concrete driveway…read morewidening project. One guy spoke no English and it was the other's first day, but they did good work. They matched the level and grooves of the existing driveway nicely. It only took them two days to clear the dirt/grass and pour/level the new concrete. He didn't use wire mess or rebar to add strength to the driveway, and didn't apply a gravel base before pouring the slab. Instead he used a fiber mesh mixed in the concrete, which were extremely small hair-like particles. He claims this is just as good for lighter jobs and reduces the cost to the customer. It's been several months with a car and SUV parking there and so far it has held up with no cracking. I'm not sure it would under very heavy vehicles however. At under $8 per square foot I felt the cost was reasonable and am overall happy with the job. The bad parts: Thomas added an extra $100 just to pick up the county permit from their building; I did all the work getting the permit approved. Originally he told me no permit was required, but I had already talked to the county and knew better. Thomas always seemed like he was always in a hurry to leave. The concrete pad is slightly narrower than it was supposed to be. The concrete truck they hired knocked several large tree limbs down into the street, which they left at my house rather than haul away in thei. And the communication was a little lacking on when they'd arrive to do the work.

Thomas Woodrum and his team were great to work with. He answered every question I had and every…read morefollow up question. He fixed my concrete pad that a previous contractor had damaged. He was quick and very professional and his price was fair. I would highly recommend his company and look forward to using his services in the future!
