When I needed to go to physical therapy, I went to South Edmonton Physical Therapy & Sport Rehab…read more I have to say that all the therapists were really nice and they all knew what they were doing. I got a lot out of my time there and I still do some of the same exercises at home today to stay strong and to sty fit. I had one mishap that involved the muscle stimulator machine. It went a little crazy and somehow got turned up really high. It really freaked me out because it hurt. From then on, my therapist massaged me herself - no more machines - which I really appreciated. I enjoyed my time at his clinic, I actually looked forward to my visits.

Fast forward three months later, and I'm a bit sad my sessions are over! The reception staff are always welcoming (and easy on the eyes which is a bit of a selfish perk), and Alan (my therapist) was not only very fun to talk to, but very educational. Every session I left armed with more knowledge than I had before, becoming more and more able to identify my own pains and how to remedy them at home. All and all, a great recovery experience from what started as a sceptical and painful beginning point!

However, I recently injured my back and it has progressed to the point where I had to do something about it. Watson was recommended to me by several coworkers in my office, so I bit the bullet and called to book an appointment. From start to finish, the process was convenient and quite pleasant. I was able to get in on the same day (hallelujah, that never happens!) and found them to be incredibly professional. I explained to Marcia some of my fears about manual adjustments, and she was very understanding and great about telling me what she was doing and why. It was amazing to see them using such a scientific basis- I felt like I was in excellent hands, and that they weren't making any assumptions, but rather taking extensive measures to understand my injury. I left with a good understanding of what was going on in my back and how to take care of it. I can't think of anything that was missing from my experience, and considering how nervous I was going in, I'm feeling very grateful!

The reason I chose this particular clinic was to use the Biodex machine to increase my range of motion. It did not disappoint even tho I had to live outside of my home community for 2 months. I was told it is the only machine in Canada situated in a physio clinic. The Capilano staff from the front desk right through to other therapists and assistants are warm and welcoming. Arjun, my physio therapist was skilled and engaging while always focused on my recovery and increased range of motion. I highly recommend him. His assistant Ava was so kind and personable. As well as physio I utilized other gym equipment in addition to the Biodex. This included a treadmill developed by NASA that can reduce your weight for walking. Allie, the kinesiologist is helpful and engaging. When I have a second knee replacement in about 12 months, it will also be a complicated procedure. I will relocate to Edmonton once again just because of the gains I was able to achieve at Capilano. Thank you Arjun, Ava and Allie.
