We were excited to come across Cupzilla at an event, as it's been on the to try list for awhile now. As suggested by the name, they offer giant cups of rice, noodles, and veggies with a choice of protein - bbq chicken, bbq tofu, bbq pork, Korean fried chicken. You also get to choose your spicy heat level from a range of 1-5. They also offer mandoo (Korean potstickers) and veggie spring rolls. Service was fast and friendly. The Hot Cup (bbq pork) was delicious and had a generous portion. The serving of mandoo were also excellent. The food all tasted and smelled great and were presented very nicely! We will be watching for Cupzilla again in the future. read more

I was at Blink on a Friday night, exploring Asianati, when I spotted a red food truck called Cupzilla. Cupzilla had a few entrees or "Cups" available: Pop Cup, Fire Cup and a Spicy Cup. I wasn't sure what to make of it, until I read the menu: Korean Fried Chicken (Pop Cup). I waited in the lengthy line while the people who had been served, were walking away with a large paper bowl full of food. I had ordered the Pop Cup, which comes with Korean Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato Glass Noodles, Rice, Veggies, topped with 2 drizzled sauces (white and red). I was not only glad to try something new, but the people working in the food truck were very friendly. They took my order and spice level and I waited. The wait was not too long and I was impressed by what I had received. The Cup was large with a great portion of food, layered and piping hot. First bite was flavorful, full sweet and savory Korean fried chicken, some sweet potato glass noodles and the two sauces. It was also this time I had found out, (the hard way), the red sauce was spicy, but very flavorful. All in all, I would highly recommend Cupzilla. Yesterday, Sunday, we were driving home from the dog park and saw a food truck and an open space with picnic tables so we decided to spontaneously stop and check out Combustion Brewery as well as Cupzilla Food Truck. We had started with a beef bowl. The beef is like a pot roast texture over sweet potato noodles and white rice. Like others said, the iceberg lettuce shouldn't be in the bowl. Maybe a cabbage would work better. We also ordered the Spring Rolls which were very good. While we were enjoying our beer and wine, the owner, Eric, stopped to say hello and sat on the ground to say hi to our dog. He is a really friendly guy who has a passion for his business. He's Indonesian, came from New York, and is a true hustler. He brought food to tables for other guests with a smile. Other reviewers commented on the price of the bowls and flavor as well as over use of sauces. I can't help the flavor which I think was good but price I feel is right considering fuel and propane prices, maintenance on the truck and equipment as well as coming out of a pandemic which is still affecting the mom and pop businesses. On our way out, we ordered two more bowls, a mixed beef and chicken cup and a Pop cup along with the dumplings which are elevated with sauces. I have enough food leftover for lunch today. This is... different. I would say more like a cross between Vietnamese and Korean. I stumbled on this place, and needed a quick lunch, and love Korean food. Options are limited: basically a big ice-cream type cup with noodles, rice, and meat. I went with the combo, which is 2 meats or 1 and a side. Their only side is the potstickers, and I wanted to try them, so I went with them and beef. It's a big "cup," though for $9 I expected a little more. Or, at least, a little more meat. It was a lot of rice noodles, a little rice, a little cabbage, and a little beef. The two potstickers were on top, and were very good: nice filling, crisped-up shell. The meat was tender and shredded, but got lost in the noodles. You choose the heat, I went with 4 (of 5.) I like heat, and it was hot but not killer. Tofu, no veggies as stated on board...I am a first timer....of course two pieces of lettuce???, Its on the bottom ....and yes the cheese sauce was there...but man this was not good at this moment, the line was not that long but the quality , taste, and satisfaction was nowhere to be found...on top of the DISRESPECTFUL COMMENT MADE TO ME WHEN READY TO BE DONE HERE... he threw the bowl IN THE TRASH, with a loud slamming noise acting in disgust, under his counter in his truck, then handed me $13, which I paid $14...remember extra for the cheese sauce....then told me what I said at the beginning of this review....please beware of RUDE/Disrespectful Owners/Employees...here at The Cupzilla Food Truck..... I had the Pot Stickers and the C Cup and the Pot Stickers were extremely good. For the cups the spiciness goes from 1-5 on most of them and I ordered 1 spiciness which was a mistake I should've went more around a 3/4. For reference my spice tolerance is okay and 1 had no spiciness at all and was very sweet but that's on me. Overall great service, great food, and fast. read more

I absolutely love Cupzilla. My mom who is Korean absolutely loves Cupzilla too. Although the Cupzilla cup is not your traditional Korean BBQ dish, all of the meats located inside of your cup are part of your traditional Korean BBQ dishes - bulgogi, chicken Bulgogi, and pork Bulgogi. The reason why this review is 4-star instead of 5-star is because of how little of the Korean BBQ that is added to the cup. The cup consists of lettuce at the bottom, then topped with jap chae (clear rice noodles), then rice, then your choice of meat or tofu, and then Gochujang (hot sauce) and yum yum sauce. I have tried all of the cups and my favorite is the hot cup (spicy pork) and my least favorite is the tofu cup. The tofu is brown and extremely chewy. The cups work for me since I love noodles and rice and 90% of the cup is noodles and rice. My husband doesn't care for the cups since there's so little meat and because it's 90% noodles and rice. The owners are always extremely nice and sweet. Today, I asked to try the Korean fried chicken that they launched this week just so that I could sample it and they gave me a couple of pieces to try! It was so good! I follow their schedule on Facebook just so that I can pop in to get a cup anytime they're near or in our area! They could have gone easier on the sauce and I felt like this option was way more noodles than anything else but overall it was a three star experience. The portion was appropriate for the price. I wasn't able to finish mine. The workers in the food truck were very friendly and they were able to get the food out very quickly so there wasn't much waiting around. So we make our way to this joint and get in line. I say....he man ill order the combo with med heat. Ok we get our food and go. I thought the combo meant i was goin to get 2 different meats. Okay, I know that food from any amusement park is not great, but Cupzilla was just horribly disgusting. We had their Chicken Cup. I was excited to see how they advertised it as Korean style grilled chicken. But once I got my order, I didn't see any grilled marks or get any charred flavor. In fact the chicken itself tasted as bland as and had a texture like boiled chicken, and they drenched that in an excessive amount of spicy mayo sauce to the point that I couldn't see anything else but the sauce, oh no. I mean a drizzle of spicy mayo sauce was ok, but not that much! And they served it on top of very overcooked glass noodles and rice. Omg I couldn't even finish it and it was $12. I'm sorry for saying this but it was just very bad. Inedibly bad. Not only was it bad, it was super unhealthy too. They said it came with vegetables but I only found 5 pieces of cabbage in my bowl. Saw them at Jazz & Rib fest downtown. 1. What I ordered isnt what I got. Asked for tofu cup, got pork =( . Asked for the guy NOT to put the orange mayo sauce, and he drenched my food in it anyway. 2. Taste I honestly cant say it's any good at all. The mayo type sauce (usually found on some sushi), does not work well! It ruins the flavor of the dish. Its disgusting! We got it at Cedar Point and thought it tasted amazing. Cedar point usually only has deep friend crap that makes you feel awful the rest of the day but this was filling without the food feeling heavy in your stomach. The portion is a lot. We have been following Cupzilla around the Columbus area for over a year now. Every single time it's fantastic. Lots of different restaurants will have good days where the food is amazing and some when it's just meh or not good at all. But with Cupzilla that is not the case. Every single time and every single cup is 100% AMAZING!! I usually get the beef cup. The meat is always perfectly cooked and tender and the noodles and rice are always perfect as well!! And then there is their sauce they put on!! So so freaking good!!!! My boyfriend has gotten the beef cup and the new Fire Cup and he was not disappointed!! Saw this food truck at a festival and was excited to try it. Overall, it wasnt great. 1st.. I'm korean.. and this isn't korean bbq. The beef isnt bulgogi. The spicy pork was cut different and both weren't seasoned right. The only thing somewhat korean was the japchae noodles. My combo cup was basically a cup with rice, lettuce, the noodles, a few pieces of meat, and covered in a spicy mayo sauce like what you get on sushi. In June I had Cupzilla scheduled to work for a few hours at the company I work for. Every June we are given a goal by this charity and we think of creative ways to reach that goal. This year I was in charge of scheduling a few food truck appearances on site. Each food truck was to donate 10% of their profits to the charity and each food truck I scheduled agreed to this, including Cupzilla. It is now the end of August and we have never received a check for the 10% of the profits that Cupzilla had made that day they were scheduled. We have reached out to them several times and have received no response. It is not so much about the money but more about the principle. Our company really enjoys giving back to charities and not receiving the donation from Cupzilla was extremely disappointing and frustrating. read more
