I am singing the praises of Gloria and her staff at Cupid's Catering tonight! They catered today's "Aryana and Aileen Pizarro Memorial Service" at the Rock Church in Pt. Loma. The homemade desserts, fruit, and drinks they served were delicious and just the perfect balance of choices. Gloria knew that 12-year-old Aryana loved unicorns, so she even found little unicorn and rainbow decorations for the colorful cupcakes on the tables. Not that I've booked them personally myself, but they've catered some recognition events my old department at work hosted for its volunteers in various locations of the county, and even hosted our yearly holiday event. It was the greatest value, quality food was top notch, and the best service. Cupid's Catering has been providing lunch for seniors at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church (OLG)and the surrounding neighborhood for 17 years. The guests coming to the 55 Plus Club luncheon once a month always enjoy the delicious food. The staff is always friendly and artfully sets the buffet tables. Cupid's catered the Celebration of Life for my Dad Jim Price on April 27th, 2023. There were approximately 180 people in attendance. Kelly helped me arrange the date, time and menu. She was wonderful! We asked Gloria if we could add cookies to our menu 2 days before the event and she said no problem and to let her know if there was anything else we needed. It was very emotional planning my Dad's Celebration of Life (and from 1700 miles away) but Cupid's made it easy and they were so compassionate at the same time. They showed up on time and had things set up perfectly. My Dad had said he wanted shrimp served because he wanted his passing to be celebrated...The shrimp was amazing as well as the rest of the menu! The Chicken Parmesan and Tri Tip were awesome. The food was very reasonably priced. We've had many comments on how wonderful the food was. The wait staff was great. First off Gloria was a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating and understanding. My son was getting married and trying to narrow down a caterer. We found a gem!! We could not have been any happier with our decision. The communication was great. Food choices were great. We had a chicken dish, meat dish and a vegetarian dish. They were so amazing! We absolutely loved having them at our wedding. Everyone loved the food, they were extremely pleasant, accommodating, responsive, and professional. They came out to see the venue and had really great input for us, and came out a second time just to make sure that they were well prepared. We booked them as a buffet and expected them to set the food up and then leave. However, they served the food in the buffet line, poured our champagne, provided plates, linen, utensils, and napkins. They arrive super early to set up, and stayed late to take things down. They also boxed up all of our leftover food for us to send home with others. So amazing! read more

So impressed with Cupid and their staff, just attended a wedding on 3/7/15 catered by cupid. Let me start with how beautiful the tables and buffet were set up, the staff brought champagne at the end for the toast and wore plastic gloves. The bbq pulled pork, mashed potatoes and gravy, salad, and veggies as well as carved serloin with creamed horse radish is still making my mouth water. Great job. read more

For over 15 years I have volunteered at Santa Sophia Academy's Grandparents Day, and each year Gloria and her friendly team serves up the most delicious menus and desserts. I've had their buffets numerous times at our Mobile Home Club House dinners. . I was always impressed, so I just hired them for my husbands' 80th birthday party. I ordered the Mexican buffet. I wish I could give them 100 stars! I only used Cupid's Catering for our linens, but their customer service, promptness and quality were fantastic. We rented linens for my Dad's funeral and Gloria was extremely helpful and courteous. Her staff was prompt and efficient. They even left a few extra tablecloths with us just in case. When you have to deal with several different companies for something that is so difficult, the good ones REALLY stand out. Cupid's is definitely one of them. Prices were super reasonable. Gloria is awesome! Gloria is the owner/manager and she knows her stuff. She is so nice and knows how to cook. We booked cupids catering for our wedding and it was by far the best vendor at our wedding. Our friend booked them for their wedding too and they did a great job yet again. We had the ham, teriyaki chichen, scalloped potatoes, grilled zucchini and onions, and salad for our dinner. For the appetizer we had veggies, fruit, crackers and cheese. On the appetizer table she made this beautiful fruit peacock and we had left over flowers so she made this flower tower from scratch. Also, to save money we just bought red velvet round cakes from costco and she set up the cakes around this beautiful water fountain cake stand that she didn't charge us extra for. I really felt like dealing with a friend than someone I just hired for our wedding. Oh, also all her servers were really friendly and smiling. read more

We Love Cupid's! The food is always delicious, Gloria is extremely flexible, the portions are beyond generous, and the prices can't be beat! We used them for our employee holiday party last year, what an amazing feast. We use them all the time for company buffet lunches (great pasta, meatballs, salad, dessert trays), as well as box lunches served at public meetings like the Intergenerational Games and Transportation Expo, and the fancy buffet served at our annual Senior Center VIP event. Cupid's provided lunch for a training event I was responsible for. The food was very high quality and fresh. And OMG there was enough food to feed twice the number of people I had. They brought everything - utensils, napkins, condiments - dressed and tossed the salad right before it was served so it wasn't soggy. Everything was delicious. Cupid's Catering exceeded all expectations! We originally considered several catering companies. To me, what mattered most was the working relationship, the cost, the taste and the presentation. Gloria was extremely responsive and helpful throughout the entire process of our event planning. Where other vendors may have been frustrated, she understood that this was our first time planning a wedding reception. She took the time to answer all my questions (and there were a lot) and just make really great suggestions along the way. She was willing to work with us on cost and put together an amazing spread for our budget. When it came to the tastings - Cupid's Catering blew the others out of the water.
