I genuinely feel beautiful. A little backstory because the context is important: I originally came to Skinic for lymphatic drainage the day before a trip and the treatment itself was incredible. Like 10/5 stars. I was SO relaxed afterward I felt like I was floating. Right after my treatment, Cassie, the manager, was incredibly kind and gave me tea, sat me down in her office, and asked how everything went. I was telling her how amazing it was, and then the conversation shifted into a package offer. I know this is normal in the beauty/wellness industry, but for me personally, it immediately took me out of the blissful state I was in. I just wanted to leave and bask in how good I felt. It bothered me enough that I actually came back inside and told her. I was emotional that day and definitely passionate about how much it had affected my experience, but the actual service had been so good that I wanted to be honest about the one thing that took away from it. We ended up really hearing and empathizing with each other. Cassie wanted to make it right and invited me to come back after my trip for the exact same treatment, completely complimentary. So when I got back from my trip, I came in for the treatment. Cassie greeted me with so much warmth and told me it was going to be the best massage of my life. And it absolutely was. No exaggeration. Anna is unbelievable. She told me she's been doing lymphatic drainage for about four years, but I would have guessed 10+. She showed me what a real lymphatic drainage treatment is supposed to feel like. I'm naturally inquisitive, so she explained the different lymph points and how the lymphatic system works as she went. When she was working on my stomach, I could actually hear and feel the fluid moving. It was WILD. By the time she finished, I immediately felt lighter and flatter. I had also told her my legs were sore from a workout. Without me having to ask her to adjust anything, she picked up on every tiny flinch or moment of tension in my body and changed her pressure accordingly. She has this incredible intuition for what your body needs. I felt completely safe and comfortable with her, both physically and emotionally. At one point, while she was draining my face, I actually started crying. I'd been holding onto a lot emotionally, and something about finally relaxing enough to let it out just opened the floodgates. My nose started getting stuffy and my eyes started puffing up as I cried, and Anna just kept gently working and draining my face through it. By the end, even my stuffy nose was gone. It genuinely felt like she got EVERYTHING out of me. The treatment was incredibly effective but also so peaceful. I felt like I was floating and so much lighter afterward. I left feeling beautiful, in love with myself, in love with the world, and honestly in love with Skinic. I really want to give Cassie credit too. She didn't just say she wanted to make my first experience right, she actually did it. The treatment was truly comped, there was no catch, and she made sure I was taken care of from the second I walked back through the door. What started as a moment that almost made me not return ended up showing me how much she actually cares about her clients, the quality of the people she hires, and how people feel when they leave her business. That gift ended up meaning so much more to me than I ever expected. Cassie absolutely has my business, and Anna has ruined every other lymphatic drainage massage for me forever lol. If you're going to Skinic, BOOK WITH ANNA. Get the Miracle Body Sculpt + Face Sculpt. I cannot recommend them enough!

I really liked that you can feel the muscles engaging it feels active and intentional, not passive. Skinic itself is such a calm and welcoming space. I paused my membership late last year after a job layoff and was specifically told that when reinstated, my anniversary special would be pushed back by the number of months I paused. When that wasn't honored at time of service, I spent over two months chasing down customer service, only to finally be told that their "system doesn't accommodate non-consecutive months"... -- Huh? What about a human overriding the computer? -- Despite the fact that I was given incorrect information by their staff (Tyler) at time of pause, there was zero willingness to take responsibility or find mutual resolution. This is especially disappointing after years of loyalty and referring multiple people to Alchemy 43. I completely understand policies, staff, and systems change, but customers shouldn't be penalized for wrong information provided by the company. I would not have paused if I was simply told this was the policy. It's also worth noting I continued to come here after my longtime injector Tiffany left earlier this year along with a majority of the staff. It's the complete lack of consideration and accountability that I've chosen to cancel today. Computers may not accommodate, but humans should -- especially if your humans made the error to begin with.

My appointment happened to be the day after the water main break in West Hollywood, and she personally reached out beforehand to make sure I had updated directions because of the surrounding road closures. It was such a thoughtful touch that made getting there completely stress-free. Taylor was my injector, and she was incredibly talented, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented. She was thorough throughout both my consultation and the treatment itself. The consultation felt very personalized to my anatomy, and she took the time to carefully assess my facial features to help me achieve my goal of better facial symmetry. She explained everything clearly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel completely confident that I was in great hands. Giselle, the medical assistant, made the entire process feel seamless from start to finish. I recently had the pleasure of seeing Taylor at Cupid Lips, and I have to say she exceeded all my expectations. I've been a longtime patient of Dr. Ben and Jennifer, who have always been fantastic, but Taylor truly impressed me during this visit. Taylor is incredibly sweet and took the time to thoroughly discuss the best options for me. I ended up getting Botox and a bit of filler in my lips, and the results are amazing. My husband, who has often been skeptical of cosmetic treatments, was genuinely impressed. Surprised it has this high of a rating. Don't feel like it deserves it…read more They confirmed the Hollywood Spectra in writing. I asked for it repeatedly, in writing and in person. I had one issue, stubborn spot and pigmentation treatment. Mentioned it about 50 times in the waiting room. Gave me CO2 instead all over my face-- wrong treatment, no consent, for supposed "texture" that I don't have, with zero wrinkles and acne scars, leaving damage on my skin soon before an important event. I only asked for light CO2 for dark spots - that was it. Seems like the provider doesn't have working ears? During the appointment: comments about my lashes, weird comments about my age (I'm on the younger side), blamed my spots on hormones (never had issues with hormones before), couldn't answer what percentage of dark spots would improve. They waived the fee and gave me free products only after I escalated. Too little, too late. Threw a whole wrench into my schedule - awful results. Blamed it on "misunderstanding". If I ask for something 50 times, how is it a misunderstanding? Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I emphasized how busy I was and how little time I had. Zero competence and zero intelligence. Probably one of the dumbest clinics that I've ever gone to. It takes a lot to get strong of language out of me, so you can imagine how awful their treatment was. Everything that they handled from the beginning to the end, whether it was the consultation, whether it was the actual treatment, whether it was the incompetent awful provider or whether it was even the management that was incredibly condescending. Just horrible. Final text message asking me if I had "calmed down". You gave me a treatment I didn't need, on a setting I didn't ask for, ignored me in the room multiple times when I mentioned what I came in here for, then tried to deflect the blame on me -- marked with definite jealousy, condescension, and arrogance. Save your money and go somewhere else as there are so many better spots available in the area. One star. Factual. Done.

I voluntarily left halfway through the session so we did not get to my left side. I had expressed some concerns via text after the procedure including the bruising and lack of results (they texted me first to follow up) but after 4 days didn't hear back from them so I went to a different doctor in Newport Beach to continue the procedure on the other side of my face. Thankfully I was able to get in on the same day, due to a cancellation. With Dr. Shaden, I left her office with minimal results and horrific bruising lasting over a week, and that's coming from someone who has never had bruising from any sort of injection (never from filler, not once from 5+ past dissolving sessions... I guess I don't bruise easily). I had only about one syringe of filler in my face I wanted to remove, and Dr. Shaden recommended 8 vials of Hylenex which would be $5500 for a single dissolving session. I left the session early and when I finally took my service to a different provider (the Newport Beach one) who offered the exact same filler dissolution service with ultrasound... this other doctor not only had a generous and kind heart to stay overtime to tackle all the filler since I flew from the Bay Area, but also had significantly better skill and super precise technique, using ultrasound to visualize the needle and dissolve every pocket of filler. He gave me my face back, taking 5 years off my age and removed all the filler, with absolutely ZERO bruising. Dr. Shaden charged 5X (yes you read that right... five times) the price of the other provider I went to, with less skillful hands. Actually for the ultrasound portion alone, she charged 7.5X the other provider's fee. I feel it's pretty greedy. I asked to split my ultrasound session which I had already paid for to use some of the vials during my (included and scheduled) followup in 2 days, because that day I was shaken up from being in a car crash, but this wasn't allowed without paying the additional $750 fee so I left. It's interesting because before I got the treatment, I called Dr. Shaden's office and asked why they charge so much more compared to other doctors who do this procedure; I was simply curious if they had a special sauce. The office staff boasted about her skill level. But as someone who has literally compared her work side by side, literally her side of my face, with another doctor's work on the other side, I can say that I do not believe she is more skilled (either in dissolving or preventing trauma to blood vessels). I saw that Dr. Shaden's team said "the same tool of ultrasound will not provide the same results in less experienced hands". Well, in my opinion the other provider was far more experienced. Of course, my guess is that most reviewers here went to Luminous and had their filler fully dissolved at their outrageous price without realizing the exact same ultrasound guided procedure can be done for a fifth of the price, with higher quality results, just an hour drive away. This is one of those rare situations where it's not "you get what you pay for", but they want you to think that. Although I regret spending thousands at Dr. Shaden's to get no results, I'm thrilled I was able to spend a few hundred bucks in Newport Beach today to finally get all my filler removed.
