When the baker was confronted by this the following day he stated that he had been made aware of this before, that it did not affect the cupcake that it was only on the bottom of the paper due to the paper and sheet it was placed upon. Sad story. I'm wondering if ownership changed . The cupcakes were nothing special.... nondescript. I bought 6 different cupcakes. The icing tasted the same on 5 of them. You could easily bake better cupcakes at home with little effort. Even the packaging was sad.... styrofoam boxes ...that you'd expect to discover a cheeseburger.Again, sad story. read more

"It's alright, but I wouldn't come back" - said my coworker, basically summed up how I felt. They're moist but lacking in flavor. I had the butter pecan cupcake and my favorite part was the pecan chunks on top. I do like that the place has a good selection of ice cream though, lots of good flavors. I stopped here on a whim. Inside I had to ask if they had any available cupcakes b/c there were none to be seen. He told me he did, he had all the flavors except for two. I chose six- wedding cake, birthday cake, coconut, lemon, key lime pie and sweet vanilla. He went in the back for a few minutes and appeared with a 6 pack of freshly iced cupcakes. I paid and went to my car. It appeared that the cupcakes were all iced in one flavor & color, vanilla. The wedding cake was rolled in white sprinkles, birthday cake in multicolored sprinkles, shredded coconut on the coconut and nothing on the other 3, one cake was green and I assumed it to be key lime. Got home and I was right about the icing. All plain vanilla. But the real kicker?? ALL OF THE CUPCAKES WERE JUST VANILLA, TOO. Not a single one of them was flavored at all. Plain vanilla cake, plain vanilla icing. Sprinkles and coconut were what defined the "flavors." Shameful. read more

I wanted to love this place I really did! And there were a couple positives I will mention because I believe credit should be given when it's due but I also feel compelled to write an honest review of my frustrations since I made my instructions on what I wanted very clear and did not receive what I thought I was paying for. I placed an order over the phone about 2 weeks prior to the day I needed it. It was for my sons first birthday, and I called up to order 1 smash cake, and a cupcake cake in the shape of a bow tie. I specified that I wanted gold cupcakes for the outer bow tie and a couple black cupcakes for the center of the bow tie. The smash cake was to be a certain way in which they did correctly. I even emailed the shop with pictures of cupcakes (gold and black) and wrote a description of how I wanted the bow tie cupcake cake to be set up. I thought it was very simple and straightforward. The girl over the phone had to put me on hold multiple times to ask about every question I had for her which I can understand if you're new (which I assumed she was because she didn't know the answer to anything I asked at all) but I was fine with that, just hoping she would get my order correct. I paid a total of 88 dollars over the phone upon ordering and was called back shortly after being told it would be an extra 4 dollars to have gold sprayed on the cupcakes. Okay. I said we will just pay that in cash upon pickup if that's okay. They said that's fine. Fast forward to pickup day. I sent my fiancé to pick up the order as I was setting up for my sons party and when he returned, he had 1 smash cake that was beautiful and as I had requested, and 2 1/2 boxes of individual gold cupcakes. No bow tie cupcake cake or even any black cupcakes as I had specified. I was so upset because I had been very clear with what I wanted I even emailed pictures and provided a written description. Never did I receive a call or email even saying they weren't sure what I was asking. So I paid almost 100 on some spray painted gold cupcakes and a smash cake. I will say the cake and frosting were delicious. But I didn't get what I wanted which was the whole reason I ordered from a specialty shop otherwise I would have just gone to Walmart and saved 70 bucks. I called and let them know and I was basically blamed because I had changed my order in the very beginning which "must have confused the girl." The only thing I changed was the smash cake in which I made even simpler than original and that came out right. They offered to add some bow ties on top of the cupcakes which still wasn't what I had ordered, and we drove an hour round trip in order to get them so there was no way we were going back for that. Just beware your order is being processed clearly with this shop. I will not be ordering from here again or even recommending as not only did they mess it up, but I was then blamed for confusing them. Wow. read more
