I don't have anything particular to say about this dentist office because it feels the same as it would if you were go to any dentist offices. I have been coming here for more about 10 years.
Out of the 2 doctors, Dr. Cuong Ton That and Dr. Phuong Nguyen Tonnu, I say I like Dr. Tonnu the best. When I was young, I used to be a shy girl who doesn't know how to socialize at all and often hesitate to ask questions. As I grew older, I learned not to be afraid of others. It is even better because Dr. Tonnu is really friendly and sociable, and I wouldn't be afraid to talk to her and ask any questions. My brother thinks the same thing after seeing her one time.
She is the one who pulled all of my wisdom teeth. I like how she gave me instructions and a lot of details of what to do if my wisdom teeth extraction hurt afterwards. When she said something along lines, "If it continues to hurt, don't wait but come in immediately," she patted my shoulder and smiled afterwards. It really made me feel comfortable and not afraid to see her. :) I recommend Dr. Tonnu if you are comfortable with seeing a female doctor, but it's too bad that she only works from Mon-Fri and not on Sat anymore because she wants to spend time with her children.
On the other hand, I have been seeing Dr. That for teeth cleaning on Saturdays for a long time. Dr. That doesn't talk much and only talk in the professional level. He will tell you what to expect before he starts cleaning your teeth. Sometimes, I noticed that after cleaning and if there is nothing wrong with your teeth, he wouldn't say anything until you ask him. He speaks when there's something wrong, like if you have cavities. I don't think he likes to talk much, at least that's what I think, but I'm still not too sure. This is probably one of the reasons I don't feel that close to him and not that comfortable to talk to him. For this reason, I rather see Dr. Tonnu for services. I don't mind taking 1-2 hours off work just to see her.
Overall, both doctors do get the job done. It is up to you to decide which doctor you feel comfortable seeing.
The elderly ladies at the front desk are nice and can speak English to a basic level. As a Chinese American, I'm glad that that they can speak English and not only Vietnamese. They would lose many customers if they only know Vietnamese and have only Vietnamese patients.
The reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I feel the lady dress in white at the front desk keeps persuading me to make an appointment for teeth cleaning and encourages me to come in as many times as my insurance allows it. It's probably because the office doesn't have enough customers, and she keeps persuading me to make an appointment to come in just get my money from my insurance?
Also, this office has a small parking lot in the back and can be hard to come in and get out if you drive a big vehicle, so be careful if you choose to park in the lot. read more
