I met for a consultation with Beverly & immediately noticed her professionalism, kindness & real interest in my case. She listened to my full history, asked questions & even consulted with some of her colleagues before creating a treatment plan for my specific issues. I worked with her twice weekly for 4+ months & the improvements are amazing. She encouraged me to work through the plan, modified & increased exercises as I improved & always provided encouragement. Over the 4+ months I watched her work with many other patients with varying degrees of challenges & she was always the consummate professional & she made it a really positive experience. The billing managers & front desk manager were also kind & efficient even at 8am! The office is brand new & has both stairs & an elevator if you need it. They have all types of equipment & machines for every need. I would highly recommend Augustin Physical Therapy & especially Beverly for all of your PT needs.

I think most of us have become so completely given over to the mediocrity that is managed care these days. Even the more highly-recommended doctors from whom I've sought care strike that perfect balance between phoning it in and covering their asses. While those are two disparate-sounding descriptors, it's an accurate way to characterize the position of the patient--and when we don't know what we're missing, we're apt to simply accept it and/or never question it. I don't hold any doctor completely to blame--this is how the insurance industry would have it; but doctors could do more to circumvent the impression. Enter Dr. Gale. My husband tried to convince me for four years to try Dr. Gale after hearing me complain about my NYU-based GP. He'd regale me with tales of being referred to Dr. Gale's excellent derm, or the physical therapist, or some other specialist--all within the same practice. Tired of having to repeat your story over and over again as you move from your GP to a specialist? Try a practice that can keep you within it across a number of therapeutic areas. I thought that, as a woman, I wouldn't appreciate having a male GP; now it doesn't phase me in the least. As practices go, Dr. Gale's is run like a fine-tuned engine. Diana is his gatekeeper, and she'll do her level best to find you an appointment, 99% of the time, the same week--particularly if you're in need. Follow-up appointment slip your mind? You'll get a card and a call from Diana. Need an appointment before work? How early would you like it? Blood test results? You'll get a call from the doctor or a nurse without having to ask for it. To Dr. Gale himself: I've known no other doctor with the tableside manner that he possesses. This is a man who will go the extra mile to make you feel both comfortable and informed. And from what I've observed in his care of other patients, I know him to be infinitely compassionate. Another refreshing thing about Dr. Gale is his sense of the how to address how our lives really are, and what we're capable of taking on. I feel completely free to tell him what I can and cannot do; his ability to advise based on that makes him so beyond an "authority in a white coat". Reviewing a doctor is not like rating a restaurant, or singing the praises of your favorite shoe repair. Most doctors I've known didn't merit my time or this level of praise (and in some cases, quite the opposite). I would want Dr. Gale managing my care, no matter what came my way. In my book, that's high praise indeed.

It is very rare to find a doctor any more who runs an efficient practice and actually takes the time to get to know his patient, their concerns, and treatment options. I am so glad I went to him for a second opinion after a horrible experience with a condescending, terse doctor. Dr. Glasser is one of two physicians in all of New York that I would recommend without any hesitation. And the other reviewer was right -- he's got a great sense of humor and warm personality. I am not a youngster. I am a senior citizen. I am in generally good health, but have been to many…read moredoctors over the course of my life. Overall, I feel that if a primary physician runs your yearly tests, interprets them correctly and is competent in record keeping, referrals and listening to the patients concerns, that's good enough for me . This is by FAR the worst doctor I have EVER been to in my whole life. He referred me to a few doctors for a few extra tests. Nothing serious. He NEVER got back to me as far as the results of those tests. I had to go back to his office TWICE because when I asked for a cologuard test, he said "you'll receive the kit in the mail". I never did. I called Cologard and they asked me if I ever signed a Cologuard form at the doctor's office. I said no. They said he was supposed to have me sign a form. SO another Uber ride and more waste of time and money. I went there, signed the form and went home. THEN, after a month or so, I called Cologard and asked for my results. They stated that only my doctor could give me the results. I called his office NINE TIMES to leave messages with his NASTY, RUDE and MEAN secretaries and they said they would tell him to get back to me. STILL haven't heard from him. ALSO, when he sent me for my blood work, I told him that I always did a Vitamin D test every year with all my other doctors. He gave me a condescnding look and said I don't need that. I said I want it. SO, I go the the lab to get my blood and urine work done. Got the results and NO Vitamin D test. He said I don't need it. I only went to this doctor once. From day one, he was condescending and arroant. That started the moment I got there and he asked me if I had my COVID and Flu shots. I told him that I do not take any vaccines EVER. That is my choice. I said it nicely. His response was "WELL, I CAN SEE THIS IS GOING TO BE A PROBLEM". Hid whole demeanor changed and everything since then has been a horrible experience. He made things IMPOSSIBLE from that point on. Getting medical records, results, blood tests, Cologuard. He just will not respond. In my honest opinion, he told he secrertaries to be nasty to me when I call. That would be the thing to do if you do not want to see a patient again. I only saw him once and it has been a disaster. ALSO, he is NOT a very intelligent doctor. Then my girlfriend saw him on her own a week or two after me. We switched to him because we both moved to an area in NYC far from our previous and WONDERFUL Primary Physician. So, SHE went to him and he went on and on to her about MY personal health issues, our incompatibility as far as doctor to patient chemistry. He told her that he sent me to a cardiologist ( I went to one that I picked and he was pissed. Fortunately all those tests were fine.). When I saw him, he gave me an echocardiogram and told me I had valve damage and wanted to send me to HIS cardiologist. The reviews of the one he referred me to sucked, so I did a lot of research and found my own. .So, I went to the BEST Cardiologist in NYC who specializes in HEART VALVE DAMAGE, VALVE REPLACEMEMT AND VALVE REPAIR. This saint of a doctor showed me the results of HIS Echocardigram and the one that this HORRIBLE doctor sent him and showed me how badly the test was done and how innacurate it was. NOW, GET THIS. My GF went to him for a reaction to a medication he put her on for her Blood Pressure meds. HE said her aches, pains, weakness etc had NOTHING to do with her BP meds. DURING that visit, he told her everything about MY medical history, the cardiologist I went to and everything else under the sun about me. CAN YOU IMAGINE THIS? DID HE EVER HEAR ABOUT DOCTOR/PATIENT CONFIDENTIALITY? I NEVER told my GF that this moron said I had a bad heart valve (which I do not). My GF is a retired REGISTERED NURSE and she is a WORRIER. She came home from her visit YELLING at me and DEMANDING for an explanation as to why I didn't tell her about my supposed heart condition. That is MY choice. I didn't want her to worry until I saw a top notch heart surgeon who specializes in HEART VALVE SURGERY and DIAGNOSIS. SO, there is NOTHING wrong with my heart. But THIS moron of a doctor told my GF during HER visit and she went ballistic on me. Just take it from me, this doctor in my opinion and experience with doctors my whole life, is not only a bad doctor in terms of diagnosing and treating patients. He is an arrogant moron who, if you say you don't want vaccines, turns on you like a wild animal. His office staff is HORRIBLE except for ONE wonderful woman named CECILIA. She is just perfect. The other two , one name Mary and the other I think is Muriel, were RUDE as hell, never passed on my messages to him (or he ignored them) and hung up on me each and every time they heard my voice. STEER CLEAR. He is not very intellient,, he is VERY opinionated and NOT open to ANY questions anout his treatment or diagnosis, he is EXTREMELY arrogant, he is incompetant and his staff sucks.
