During that same time, the owner actively helped Latino and white customers who came in after me. I waited, made eye contact, and was never acknowledged. No greeting, no offer of help -- nothing. It was noticeable and disappointing. Everyone deserves basic courtesy and customer service regardless of race. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here, and I won't be returning.

I most recent visit to this particular CVS yesterday. I can't recall a time that I have had a…read moreadverse experience in any of their locations during the course of my travels; and there's something extraordinary that stands out as it pertains to this particular location in Hamden. Yesterday's visit was no exception. The entire atmosphere, ambience ( if you will) is warm, inviting, clean , professional and inviting. During my shopping I was left to explore the layout while easily located the items that I needed. They now have self-checkout stations. Upon approaching the line for one of these stations I was offered a choice to be assisted directly by one of their employees for check out - Robert. I declined this offer initially by Robert , yet later required his assistance during the transaction. Robert graciously went above and beyond in assisted me in what could have easily been a very frustrating experience. Thus, I ending up closing out this visit in a positive more enriched state of being, as it should be whenever we enter, abide and depart any atmosphere regardless of the duration! Kudos to CVS and to Robert - 3snaps!

Bad customer service. First time going to this CVS. My doctor called me to let me know that they…read moreplaced an order for my medication for 3 months since it's what my new insurance requires. The lady handed me my medication and gave me a total to pay, I told her I have an insurance card and she told me that if I wanted to use my insurance, that I would have to step aside so she can take care of the other customers or I can just pay... I said, "Wait... you want me to pay out of pocket when I have insurance"..... she then turned to the doctor and asked if I would get reimbursed if I paid with my money... I just didn't understand her logic.. this doesn't make sense! The doctor then said he would take care of it, only to place my medication to the side, and I waited. Another lady came over and asked what I was waiting for, and I told her that im here to pick up my medication and I wanted to add my insurance into the system... she grabbed the bag and gave me a total right away. I said again, "I want to use my insurance!" She replied and kept urging me to come over and look at her screen as it doesn't say for 3 month, so they won't enter my insurance. I waited on the side again, so upset, annoyed, and embarrassed. I have NEVER been treated like this before. I ended up leaving without my medication. How can CVS Pharmacy treat people like they are so beneath them that would make people walk away. I really needed my medication and called my doctors office crying hysterically. The lady who told me to pay without insurance or wait on the side told people she was only there to help since she works the front and should be ashamed. Would you want someone telling your mother or daughter to pay for their medication and not insurance since they don't have time! No customer service! I really need my medication, and it hurts knowing other people who need their medicine might be walking away, too.

I purchased the red pepper hummus, some corn tortillas made in-store, and frozen sausages. I absolutely loved seeing so many products with clean, simple ingredients. That's exactly what I've been looking for! I can't wait to get my hands on those tortillas and hummus again! The store itself was extremely clean, well-stocked, and organized. Everyone I came across was friendly and helpful, which made my first visit even better. My only disappointment is that this location is a little over an hour away from me! I'll definitely be looking for a Whole Foods closer to home, but I wouldn't hesitate to visit the Milford location again. Overall, such a great shopping experience! Both places are pretty cool. What BJ's offers that I really love are great deals on clothes. Not only do they have many cute tops and plenty of leggings but they have really nice Skorts. I have bought so much from here because not only are the prices really reasonable but their stuff is really cute as well and the quality is good. The only thing I don't like is how crowded it gets but that can't be helped. I actually think I like them better than Costco.

You may also pick up your grocery essentials on the way home. I usually frequent any BJ's because they offer the best prices on gas, this BJ's doesn't offer gas at all. They also don't sell tires. This is a bit of a let down. Other than that, you'll find everything you may need for your grocery or home needs. You may even find a gazebo or new flat screen TV. I noticed the people working at the deli are a lot faster and more organized than the ones at my local BJ's. BJ's is a club you need to be a member to shop at their stores.
