Stopped in for breakfast at this divey place. Located off the intersection of pond road, parking…read morecan be a nightmare when busy. There is some additional parking out back but is a little sketchy. When you enter its a convenience store and when you bank to the right there is a diner-esque restaurant and deli. You seat yourself and the waitress promptly took our drink and our food orders. There is a bunch of original artwork for sale on the walls from an local artist. The place heavily caters to a senior crowd, as I was the only one there under 65. This is most likely due to their inexpensive menu and aggressively priced daily specials. Literally, most all of the daily specials range from $2-$3. You cant even buy groceries to make something that cheap lol Anyway, I was starving so I ordered the $7.99 two egg omelette special. It included any cheese, any meat, coffee, hash browns and toast. I did the fresh sliced ribeye steak and added all the veggies. My food came lightning fast! Arrived about 3-4 minutes after ordering. Everything was absolutely delicious and so fresh. You could tell the mushrooms and potatoes were cut that day. The ribeye steak was melt in your mouth delicious. Waitress was fabulous and checked in on us regularly. Don't let the outside looks of this place deter you from stopping in. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended. P.S. I hear that this place sometimes does lobster roll specials. Supposedly, they are even cheaper than Val's Drive in...like $10.50. Hope I catch that deal!

This establishment is very close to where I live, and as such I do a fair amount of business here…read more The fact they really resent taking debit or credit cards has cost them about $150 a year in business from myself. I am one of those who rarely have cash on me. The coffee they make is outstanding! Unfortunately in the morning when I count any cash I have laying around, and am usually a few cents short. So I go to Cumberland Farms, just down the street. They take debit without drama, even if all their coffee, no matter what flavor they label it as, always tastes the same. Try using a debit card at Oak Hill Cash Market, the owner acts like you are a complete asshole. Plus they are out of cream 80% of the time I go there. I have to ask, then stand around and wait for them to "get to it". But regardless, the way they make their coffee is incredible and is even better (and much cheaper) than Dunkin Donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are another highlight...always plenty just freshly cooked, so there is no waiting. The pizza they make could not taste much worse, however....a limp, soggy crust and just not good by any stretch of the imagination. It's almost like you have to try to make a Pizza this bad. Because it is a convenience store, the groceries appear to be from a museum and way too expensive to consider, even in a pinch. That being said, I do not go out of my way to do business here, but would get my daily cup of coffee here every single day if using a debit card did not cause the owner to act like you are putting him out of business by doing so. But they do some things extremely well, and I can't go less than 4 stars, as it is locally owned and operated and it's nice to see these places succeed. They do have my 4 star rating, and I recommend this place on the strength of their Coffee and Breakfast sandwiches. You won't get that quality at a chain store.
