I grew up coming to this Cumberland Farms and while it definitely needed the facelift it received,…read morethere are some things that still can't be helped: like the location itself. Because this is located in a strip mall with a Chinese food restaurant in the middle and constantly rotating business at the end, it's never not busy in this parking lot. Which wouldn't be a problem if: a) there was more space to park b) the average vehicle in this area wasn't an enormous truck or SUV c) the gas pumps at Cumby's weren't on a diagonal in super narrow lanes Every time I've gotten gas here (every.single.time), I've had to sit and wait for a pump to open because giant pick-ups made it impossible to get around them to an open pump. And when I finally did maneuver my car next to a pump, I was immediately blocked in both from the front and back by people who were parking to get their food or gab inside Cumby's causing more - you guessed it - sitting and waiting as they finished. Skip it and head to the one in Lewiston (no, seriously).

As far as convenience stores go, I think Cumbies has come a long way. They are investing in their…read morelocations, and generally hire exceptionally friendly and hard working employees. The Sabattus location is a great example. And if you have your gas purchase taken from checking account using their card, you save 10 cents a gallon. I have still not taken advantage of that feature, but it's there. Also, in the morning the coffee, while not great, is still only 99 cents, even if cups keep getting smaller. Biggest issue with their coffee is they have a seemingly good variety, including one limited time flavor. But I can't tell the difference in taste of any of them...they all taste the same, no matter what flavor you choose, to me anyways. And if you get coffee anytime after noon time, it tastes strong, old and nasty. But they provide an awesome selection of flavorings, have fresh cream and even have those little "stok" caffeine shots to boost your morning a bit. You don't go to Cumbies based on pizza...as it is generally the most bland pizza you can buy. None of their other fresh cooked items look good to me and I question what is used for ingredients...sure they are the cheapest money can buy. The service is refreshing to see employees take such pride in their work. They are very nice, as well....except for the tall female manager...she is abrupt, never smiles and just wants you to buy your shit and get the hell out of there. I will avoid her register every time possible. She makes you feel very unimportant and just an interruption to her day. Good thing the other associates are nothing like her, or I would not go there. Ever. And most prices as in any convenience store are way to expensive, but unlike most, they do offer little sales from time to time, and there are a few reasonably priced items. This is a nice store and I do a fair amount of business here. The parking lot and gas pumps can be a dangerous nightmare when vendors are vending and people get gas and instead of moving car away from pumps so maybe someone else can get gas too, they just leave car at pump and go inside to shop. Many times I drive by and go to Lewiston location when the parking lot becomes a cluster. No matter what or where, I will always choose a Cumbies over any other convenience store. Now let's train the manager some people skills, and this particular location would maybe hit 5 stars!

The majority of them, during my teenage and young adult life, were smaller establishments built with brick and had this pale brown color with the Cumberland Farms logo. They only had spots to pump gas and it was a hot spot for those who like to play scratchers. This location started across the street from where it is today as Staff D. pointed out in her review, and bought the land on its current location and upgraded to a Super Cumbies, well they don't call it that, but one could surmise that is what it would be called. They now have twice the number of gas pumps and the store is nearly 3 times larger. They increased the height of the ceiling, added more fridges and a walk-in fridge to browse the number of beers they offer from your typical corporate beers to some locally craft beers. The quality of the food and snack offerings has significantly gotten better and despite some still labeling it as "gas station food", you have to appreciate the rebranding and upgrades they made to the slushy machines, the coffee station as well as a touch screen ordering system to order some of their upgrade menu selection. I personally enjoy the new look and it was a wise move on their part to upgrade because who complains about a 99 cent coffee all day, and everyday. They do have to compete with Dunkin next door to them, but Dunkin does not offer gas and Cumbies does. Stop in and check out the place if you haven't seen it.

There's usually ample parking and you can park on the side close to the sidewalk when they're super busy. They typically keep up really well with hot coffee during the morning rush. During rush hour you may have to wait a few minutes in line but nothing over the top. Our teenagers love the express food such and in a hurry, it's quick and cheap. Plus... we take advantage of the SmartPay rewards they have for discounts on gas, coffees, and other various items which is a plus.

If you have the free wash ticket, you need to go inside the conventient store to exchange it for a code. I've only purchased lottery tickets here and the gentlemen working was very nice. The store seems small and is as generic as your typical convenient store is. The car wash is touch less and doesn't do a great job, but hey, I'm not complaining about free. The location on Center St is easy to miss so keep your eyes peeled if your trying to find it.

After having to move around to three different pumps to get one to work, my husband got gas, and headed home (about 5 minutes down the road). He immediately realized that he dropped his wallet on the ground by the gas pump. He called the store, and they couldn't find it, so he went back to look and ask to view video surveillance to see who could have picked it up. Only the owner can show the video footage, and he has not returened ANY of our phone calls to try to get to the bottom of this. This is so very upsetting, all we need is to see who picked up the wallet to get our belongings back, and the owner of the Mobile obviously doesn't think this is a priority. Our family will no longer give you our money.

No apology, no explanation other than "it was a mistake" Your mistake cost a waste of a whole day. At least sound remorseful for your unqualified staff. Do yourself a favor, and don't use Irving. They are completely lacking in customer service. They make mistakes, and have no accountability. They are the first company I have used with Oil. I give up after a year and a half with them. Thumbs down.

On one of my most recent "coffee stops" I was wearing my sons coat, cuz it was the quickest I could grab, and just as I was finishing up making my coffee the wrist button(was unbuttoned) caught on the very edge of my 24 oz. cup and spilled the WHOLE cup all over the place. It made a huge mess every where! It was on the cream and sugar island; floor; neighboring candy bar cardboard display; cupboards of neighboring counter; every where! I was thoroughly and completely embarrassed. I'm sure my cheeks even turned red cuz I was so embarrassed that I had been so klutzy but the employees were awsome. They wouldn't hear of me cleaning the mess up and insisted I make another coffee and said it was "fine, it happens all the time, it's not a problem". I asked the clerk to ring me in for 2 coffees cuz that's technically what I was consuming between the spilled coffee and the one I had managed to keep in it's cup...lol But he wouldn't hear of it. To top it all off I handed him my "frequent-coffee-customer-promotional-punch-card" which happened to be full so I got my coffee free. That's when I felt REALLY bad. I told the clerk had I been a "secret shopper" the store would be getting good marks for their courteous and friendly gestures in spite of the spilled coffee. Altho I may pay a couple cents more per gallon it doesn't sway my decision to make Irvings/Circle K my first choice of gasoline suppliers as well. There are too many positives about the store to let a couple pennies bother me. Oh and in the evenings they have a gentlemen working there who has the baddest, most kick-ass tattoo of lips on his neck. I don't know his given name but I call him "Lips" lol
