Always a long wait in the evening. Drive thru 10 cars 4 waiting decided to go in only people at the counter were us . 8 employees behind the counter and drive thru still it took 3 mins for anyone to even look at us and then extremely long wait for only two ice creams . Might as well stayed in the long line in the drive thru. Clearly there's enough staff it seems lack of direction and friendly staff would be better for all. read more

I love Culver's. Everywhere. All the time. This is the back up meal when everything else is wrong. So, lucky situation, there is a Culver's near my hotel here. This was an exceptionally good Culver's. I had a complicated, unique order. They completed it without error. They even separated the cold and hot menu items. Flatware and enough napkins were included. Perfect execution! Culver's is pretty consistent on the quality front, but this Traverse City facility knocked it out of the park. This is an update to a prior review where we weren't happy with how this Culvers' completed our orders. We've are pleased that this seems to be remedied. Twice, my orders for delivery were prepared incorrectly. I phoned Culver's on the 2nd time the mistake happened. I explained, politely that there were missing items on the burger, as well as extra side condiments of which I paid extra for, were not included, and that this was not the first time. The manager on duty expressed their apologies and stated that a coupons and a voucher for a replacement meal would be sent to me via mail, to my delivery address. To date nothing has been received from Culver's (9 June 2025). I phoned Culver's ( 9 June 2025), and there wa / is no record of the call. No record of my Name / address, nor any information even pertaining to my conversation with the M.O.D. regarding the incorrect and missing items on my order of that day - no coupons / voucher sent. Placed a pick up order as we left the airport and it was ready right when we pulled into the pick up spots (and during a snow storm no less!). Order was accurate and food was good. While it was listed in their online menu when I went into the restaurant the cashier advised me they had No veggie soup nor salad. He stated they would take the chicken off a salad. I told him unless it was freshly made without the chicken no thank you. He said they would do that. I paid and sat down. When the salad came it had chicken on it. I reiterated that I wanted a salad without meat. Although he was the cashier that waited on me he looked confused so I explained more in depth. He apologized and stated they would make a fresh one. I liked the selection of local in-house Hazy IPA and Stout. Great indoor seating and the outdoor seating even offers a lawn, which is better than concrete. Very happy staff and less noisy inside than most breweries. Not a yuppie college or touristy place, so I'm happy here. read more

I went here as it was the only spot open on New Years Eve, but to my surprise my fitness and I were met with disgusting, nasty, and rude homophobic behavior (his name was Wyatt)--leaving my friend feeling upset and frustrated. My daughter was so happy when we passed a Culver's during our stay in Traverse City. It was a rainy night, so we ordered our food to take back to our hotel. When we unpacked the bag, we found that they hadn't given us my daughter's french fries. I called and Joe the manager took care of us. This Culver's was clean and the guy who took our order was very helpful and friendly. The rest of our order was good. We had their great burgers, fried chicken, and the onion rings, which our order taker suggested we get extra crispy, were perfect! I also enjoyed the jumbo shrimp platter. I didn't recall that they had shrimp but these were big, cooked to perfection, and delicious. We also got custard. The flavor of the day was brownie sundae. The custard itself was good as always, but the brownie pieces were hard. Not fresh at all. We didn't eat them. The food we had was good, so if it wasn't for the error and the brownies, I'd give them 5 stars. read more

I have wanted to try Culvers for quite some time, in particular their butter burger but had no opportunity since I live in New Jersey and I think the closest state to Jersey that they are located in is Ohio. Culvers is not on the east coast. I can only say what a nice experience it was to interact with people in a fast food establishment that are not drones that have no communication skills and dread coming to work. First the food, we ordered a double butter burger with cheese, a grilled chicken sandwich, and a original butter burger. One of my companions thought that the original butter burger was a little on the salty side, there was no complaints about the grilled chicken sandwich, and I thought the double butter burger with cheese was juicy and delicious. Now a few words about the crew, the first impression that you get in any restaurant is from your first contact with the people that work there. The counter person that we had the pleasure giving our order to not only could put more than a few coherent words together but could actually interact with a customer and hold a conversation with them! Johnathan D. was the person behind the counter and it was a pleasure giving him our order. This young man has a bright future that he is looking forward to start with his entering college. After sitting down at a table in the seating area that was clean without a greasy film on it, (or particles of food left from previous patrons), our food was brought to us my another restaurant worker. During our meal another worker walking through the seating area actually asked us how everything was!! What a concept, customer service!! Before leaving as another worker walked by one of my companions asked for a box to put the rest of her food in to take home. This worker not only said he would bring the box but would also bring a bag. Was I actually in a fast food franchise? I very rarely frequent McDonalds even rarer are my purchases at BK, when I find a need for fast food it is usually at a Chick-fil-a. Wait a minute, curiously those people also know how to treat a customer. I didn't mean to go on for so long but fast food, courteous service, and a quality product are not usually used in the same sentence with very few exceptions. We stopped in on the way to visit a friend that lives on the peninsula. We wanted take out that we could take to the state park just down the road. They have a drive thru, but this isn't fast food. We (and others) had to pull ahead to wait for our orders. It took a while, but that wasn't a problem. They bring it out to your car for you. My chicken tenders were just OK. I prefer them to be a little more tender than crispy. read more

This place is bomb! I just moved to Traverse City from San Diego a few days and my boyfriend recommend Culver's because he said they have really good butter burgers. I had no clue what a butter burger was. I'm used to in-n-out and jack in the box. We went for dinner and I got the Swiss and mushroom butter burger snackpack with cheese curds. If you like ground fat grilling so long that it cakes a layer of hardened cow tissue to your butter burger (butter because it is soaked in more grease before it reaches the customer), than this is the place for you. Service is slow in the winters which makes the employees seem not to care. The meat is probably a grade lower than dog food. I could feel it slowly congealing through my intestines for days, as I sat in pain, glued to the porcelain thrown. The cheese curds tasted ripe. Culves' quality has gone downhill over the last 15 years, especially out at Chums Corner and now their new location here. Shame on you East Bay Township. read more

Culver's has always been my favorite restaurant. Since my best friend had never tried Culver's food, we walked to the nearest branch (this one) and enjoyed two Butterburgers and a tub of frozen custard. We were there at the end of the night, so I'm sure the employees were tired from a long day. Even so, they were all extremely cheerful and friendly. The service was excellent, the food was prepared perfectly (and quickly!), and the tables were sparkling clean. It was such a good first experience that my friend declared Culver's to be one of her favorite restaurants as well. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere. Normally we love Culver's. However today we are not a fan of the TC Culver's. my husband and daughter ordered chicken strips After a few bites my husband asked me to taste his because he thought they tasted funny. It definitely had a "dirt"/moldy taste to it. I tried a bite of my daughters as well and they also tasted the same. We typically get chicken strips, so we are familiar with how delicious they are supposed to be. My husband and daughter went up to let the staff know. The owner came over and told him that is how they always Taste (as he took a bite) and that he (my husband) must have bad taste buds. From a customer service standpoint, I couldn't believe how rude he treated my husband. He did offer to exchange them for a burger instead, but after how he was treated he just wanted to leave. So we got my daughter a burger and quickly finished lunch so we could get the heck out. I love Culver's, but I highly recommend against this one just because of the bad management and rude owner. read more
