We walked to Culver's in Mount Vernon from our hotel while traveling and went with our standard concrete mixer with cookie dough and Oreos. The custard itself was solid, and the service was good. The restaurant was also clean and welcoming. My only real complaint was that the concrete mixer wasn't thoroughly mixed all the way to the bottom of the cup, so there was a noticeable amount of topping left unmixed. Otherwise, it was a perfectly good Culver's experience. Nothing particularly stood out, but nothing else disappointed either. A solid 4/5. read more

Service was slow because the food sit behind the counter while they took care of drive thru. Food was solid.

Culver's in Mt Vernon! What is not to love! The service was great and staff were courteous! Dining areas and bathrooms were clean and well maintained. My wife had a bacon double with cheese and no bun as she not only is GF but trying to go carnivore. I had the Wisconsin Swiss double on GF bun which was fantastic! Their fries are especially great! The parking is ample and easy access to any from the interstate. Culver's rocks no exceptions here! read more

Thank you for finding out phone we left behind on the counter! This is a hopping Culver's in Mt. Vernon just off the highway! Totally full lunchtime on Friday. Clean, lots of seating, outdoor tables too. Friendly and hard working staff. Thank you Dwight for delivering our food to our table and tidying up for us! read more

Wish I could give zero stars. The rudest employees ever! We ordered a side of ranch and waited at the counter forever just getting ignored. We tried to say excuse me to several and they would not acknowledge us. We finally got one guys attention in full Culver's uniform and he said, "I'm not clocked in. I can't help you." I informed him that I was just waiting on ranch and his response was "I don't even know where that is. I work in the kitchen!" We pointed to it directly behind him and he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. read more

Whenever I travel between Louisville KY and St Louis MO, I make it a habit to stop at this Culver's with my kids or just myself. Always received fresh food , great burgers and d lately getting fish sandwich which does look process but like just cut off the fish filet. read more

We stopped at Culver's in Mount Vernon; the service and food preparation were the worst we've ever received in over 25 years of going to Culver's Rst. This is a hard pass! The restaurant is severely understaffed and lacked the experienced crew normally encountered at Culver's. Culver's usually does better. read more

It's Culver's and it's perfection. Easy stop during road trips with one-minute access to i57. Appreciate their organization at the drive-thru which lets you order, pay, and pull up into an assigned lane with a sticky note number that lets the car hop find you and deliver your order. Clean bathrooms if you need to go inside & plenty of seating. read more

We placed an online order at 6:10 for pick up at 6:30, we arrived 10 minutes early so I didn't mind waiting for our food, but alas 6:30 came and went and there was still no sign of our food, it was not until around 6:40 that our food was ready. Upon receiving our food, the worker handed us 3 bags, one of which almost overflowing. This is for an order that was 2 hamburgers and fries. So I asked the worker if this one the right order. The worker assured us however that it was indeed the right order and we went to sit down. 2 minutes after arriving at our seats, the same worker came over and informed us that it was not in fact the right order. I had already taken most of the food out of the bag, I had only not touched two burgers. Now I told the worker exactly what I had ordered, however he did not seem to understand and spent the next 5 minutes trying to figure out which one was ours. Then he took food that we had touched back to be served to the right customers. Finally the ordeal was over, we could finally eat, but this dream was immediately shattered when I took the first bite, to find all four things that we had ordered were cold. Having moved away from the Midwest, I was very excited to be able to eat Culver's again for the first time in a long time, however this experience has left me extremely disappointed and I would not recommend anyone eat here. read more

My only complaint? Not a huge fan of the "crinkle cut fry." Everything else? Love. Love. Love it! What fat man doesn't? No, that's not rhetorical, who doesn't like Culver's? Point them out so we can ridicule them! Road trippin' from Virginia to New Mexico and we were totally stoked to see this guy along the way in Illinois. Cheers! read more

We travel all over the US and this is by far the worst Culver's I've ever been to. The entrance door was filthy, hello Culver's pressure wash! The service was horrible, we didn't get even close to what we ordered, took 3 trips to make it passable. Food was STONE COLD, explains the 30 minute wait for food. The trash cans were overflowing - employees were standing around not doing anything. People actually put their full trays on the floor by the garbage because it was so bad. There was NO KETCHUP! All 3 bins of ketchup were empty - we were there almost an hour no one did anything despite being told repeatedly by customers there was no ketchup, Counter person gave us 3 ketchup packets but said that is all they have. Dismal, bad food, horrible service, nasty tables/floors/entry way. Shut it down, clean it up, train your staff and chefs, stock the place appropriately and then reopen. Should take about a month! So very disappointed!!!! read more

Lunch time service completely overwhelmed. Waited for 20+ minutes after paying for food in the DRIVE THRU. Order was 3 sandwiches and a small fry. I can't recommend stopping here in a peak time. Clearly, they have staffing issues. I would have left had I not paid for my food. read more

Butter, burger and cheese curds enough said oh, and during length they have amazing fish

This place is the reason why we have health inspectors today. Every time I see a commercial about Culver's it makes me want to throw a chair on the TV and stab my eyes out. They refused to put sprinkles on my ice cream, and they spit in my food, I'm sure of it! Anytime anyone mentions Culver's it makes my stomach explode. Me and my family are traumatized from the events of going there, I can't even look at the color blue the same anymore. read more

I wonder if ownership reads these yelp reviews! wish I would have read them before stopping and wasting 35 minutes and still staff had no idea how long it would be before our order was ready. we ended up getting our money back and went across the parking lot to Subway! read more

Drinks aren't mixed right; most of them are disgusting and undrinkable. Food is overpriced. Also, what I finally realized is that this location (Mount Vernon, IL) cheats you on the fries for the basket meals... ordering a basket adds a medium drink and a medium fry to your sandwich... but this location gives you a small fry and drink and claims they are mediums. We've been here six or seven times and realized they are cheating everyone after we dined at Culver's in other areas --- including a couple of them in Missouri; one in Evansville, IN; and another in Decatur, AL... where you get the correct size of fries and drink with a basket combo. read more

We love Culver's. One of the best fast food options out there. Their fish sandwich is an actual thick, moist piece of cod! The butter burgers are great!! They are made to order "your way". Yummy! read more

If you are in ANY kind of hurry, do NOT dine in. It took us 45 minutes to get our food (only after coming to the counter to ask about our order), only to find out they "tried" to find us 30 minutes previous and couldn't. Staff was very disorganized and mostly untrained. Not very professional. We were compensated for my room temp chicken and my wife's warm salad with two free meal coupons and no refund. Food would have been decent if served when it was prepared, their staff needs better management, better training, and better customer service. read more

Thought I was ordering a mushroom Swiss combo. Only got the sandwich, and very very few mushrooms. Costed a small fortune didn't even get a drink or fries with it. I was not impressed. Ordered a meant Heath ice cream. Also not impressed very very little on Heath and mint. Try to say they're better than everywhere else. No they're not clovers in Mount Zion Illinois would not recommend at all. read more

Food was good. Very kind cashier. Family friendly atmosphere. Would recommend this Culver's.

Management teenagers that cuss out other teenagers trying to do their jobs. Poorly run business. And customers hear everything. When they file sexual harassment papers on another employee the manager sweeps it under the rug because Nic doesn't know how to handle it. He also talks a lot of crap about other workers because he is the owners friend and they let him do what he wants. This place has good food. But very poorly run on the business for these teenagers. read more

Slow service. I'm sitting past the drive thru line as we speak waiting in my food. It's been 30 minutes. Not sure what's going on, literally just ordered some cheese curds. People are standing outside of their cars waiting for food and chatting. This is wild. read more

Waited 30 minutes for food in drive thru and they forgot a 4 piece chicken tender. NOT HAPPY. Get it together

Burnt burger yet again!!! Cod dinner expensive and NOT FRESH!!!!Overcharged me by $5.00. NEVERE NEVER AGAIN!! Avoid this Culver's.

While traveling through stopped in drive thru. The young woman on the speaker sounded rude from the beginning. When we drove around to pay the large girl with a bull ring in her nose clearly showed a nasty attitude like we were inconveniencing her day! Advise to her...treat customers like you would like to be treated, change your snotty attitude and you will go a long way in life! Other then that the concrete we ordered was soupy like it had been sitting while we waited for our other food! Quite hard to eat while driving in a car! The girl who brought is our food though was very sweet. read more

Oof. Went here with the fam and every burger came out sloppy after a long wait. Big letdown since most Culver's I've been to are top quality. Cashier put her sweaty fingers 3 inches deep into each cup as she handed them to us. Even without covid, that's downright nasty. read more

Discovered Culver's a while back on a trip to Chicago and have made it a must-stop ever since. Fresh food and fresh dairy and ice cream products and the restaurant is super clean! It's very refreshing to go into a restaurant and receive great service. It's almost like a "chick---a" for Hamburgers especially in their attention to detail. Also a great touch is the CCM music playing in the background! Just an overall great experience. You won't be disappointed! read more

So I ordered a double bacon burger combo I paid with cash a $50 bill to be exact! The young lady that took my order may have been having a bad day! However when you pay in cash you expect change to be counted back to you. She just looked at me when I started counting my own change in front of her! That being said so stepped to the side and waited for my order which I got and left. Had a to go order so I down the road and open burger box patties are half on burger and cheese is melted to the box! This generation has no work ethic! The food was good after I rearranged everything back on bun. ! 13 dollars for a combo you think it would be made properly! read more

Very inefficient business. Counted at least 15 or so people. Could have been shift change, but it was clear that the place is in some serious need of Lean principals and the introduction of standard work. Workers seemed nice, but they seem poorly trained and not sure of who does what in the process resulting in slow processing of orders. This resulted in either orders not getting complete, missing items, or made incorrectly not at the quality level expected. There is potential, but requires some serious action. Didn't eat the food, only ate the ice cream and once it was made it tasted good. read more

Our food came out hot and fresh. They had friendly service and it was an extremely clean establishment. We highly recommend this Culver's!

I was on a bus trip and we were all very hungry. The owner came walking up to the bus and didn't look very happy. We thought he was going to turn us away or yell at us for parking somewhere we shouldn't. He just came on and welcomed us to his restaurant and just wanted to know how many of us to prepare for. We all got our meals right away. Staff was very friendly. read more

I go to Culver's in Mt Vernon once or twice a week. My purpose is to enjoy the Flavor of the Day Custard. Last week it was Strawberry Chocolate Parfait, which sounded yummy! When I placed my order, I asked if they would be sure to mix the ingredients in well and please be sure there was plenty mixed in! My reason for asking was, earlier in the week, I had visited this Culver's and ordered a Strawberry and Dove Chocolate mixer. When I pulled away, after a few bites, I noticed the Strawberry and Chocolate were only mixed in on the top third of the cup, leaving me with 2/3 cup of vanilla custard, of which I am not a fan of. Unfortunately, my Flavor of the day was mostly vanilla again. I know it is hard to find help, which may lead to added stress on those working.. the evening I was there, there were several working, but for 3-5 minutes, a few (3-4) of the younger staff were talking and laughing through the window between the counter and the kitchen.. several customers were waiting on their orders, some impatiently.... Maybe better management? read more

I stopped to pick up dinner this afternoon and used their drive thru. When I pulled up there were 3 employees sitting outside sharing a vape pen which should have been my first clue. I ordered then when I got to the window the employee never even acknowledge me I sat there for 6 minutes while she talked to another employee. By this point I was ready to leave and go elsewhere she finally turned around and opened the window but wasn't friendly and no hello or anything. Took my payment then handed it back with the sticky note number stuck to it. Of course she turned around and started ignoring me again so I had to ask if I was supposed to pull up and where. There were 3 cars in front of me each one had to pull up and wait and the one guy only received 2 shakes. Very poorly ran restaurant as not every car should be required to pull up. It wasn't busy as it was 4 o'clock. Staff unfriendly next time I'll drive to the one in Marion definitely worth the drive read more

We know this is a hard time for businesses and are trying to frequent them as much as we feel it is safe. We've been going to Culver's for too many years to count. Always had good experiences so when we pulled up to the Mount Vernon location we were expecting a pleasant experience, as usual. The food was good, as always, however, we were shocked by a sign posted regarding wearing a mask. The sign states it Is not a law to have to wear a mask...huh?? Read the IDPH much?? All the employees inside had masks on, they were even wearing them over their noses. One employee who was cleaning the patio had no mask on while within six feet of patrons. I understand the risk is lower outside but the optics aren't great. Every other Culver's we've been to in the state have required masks...so I'm not sure what's up with this one. Stay away during this epidemic if you're expecting adherence to the laws. read more

Make no mistake, we're Culver's aficionados, and were thrilled when this unit close to us opened earlier this year. After three tries, the reality has left us a little bummed - the feature hamburgers don't taste quite the same as at the several other Culver's locations of our experience. We can't figure out if it's a prep problem or the supplier, but it just doesn't have that seared "tang" unique to the chain. Hope they can work it out. The custard is great, just as it should be Unique to this location is a meeting room equipped with a video projector and screen, but is available for general dining when not hosting a meeting. It's a nice, quiet getaway from the main room. Also unique to this store is the ambiance music, Christian pop. Not fans of the genre, it was a "Huh?!?" on our first visit, but since then it seems the volume has been lowered to background levels and not nearly as intrusive as it was. read more
