PRICE: Above average. FOOD: I ordered a double hamburger with bacon and cheese. My hamburger patties were thinner than I would have liked, however, it was VERY tasty. They have what is called a "butter bun" but I did not order it as I'm trying to NOT have a heart attack before the age of 40. The cheese curds were basically irregular sized mozzarella sticks. The marinara they gave with them was not very good unfortunately. STAFF: VERY friendly. Very. I don't think you are supposed to tip them but my girlfriend tipped them anyway. OTHER: We went on a Saturday. There were a lot of children there. I hope this restaurant doesn't turn into Fuddruckers with a different name. Too many children around can truly ruin an otherwise excellent meal. They should convert the old smoking sections in restaurants into children sections. I am not joking. Wow let me RAVE about a fast food place for a second. I just went to Culver's for the first time ever and I was so impressed. Walking in, I was greeted 3 times and had the door held open for me. I was happy to find that after ordering I didn't have to wait at the counter to get my food, they brought it to me. My food was great! I got the cheeseburger and while it was a little thin for my taste (substantial for a fast food burger, but still id double patty next time), the fries were on point (thick without being too crunchy), and my custard with mix ins was delicious and under $3. The music was fun, friendly staff came and checked in on me while I ate, and my table was bussed for me. A way better experience than what I expected from a fast food place! Being from Wisconsin, we really missed Culvers and once drove 8 hours to get a burger, so we were really looking forward to driving an hour instead. Have gone various times since the opening and they do not yet meet Culvers standards. Every single time there has been an issue. Once the food was so salty it was inedible. Once, both of our sandwiches were wrong, and one was raw in places. When I brought this to the managers attention, he suggested perhaps we needed to pay attention to the cashiers display, (which displays abbreviated, so not sure that would even help.) I found this really unacceptable since his employees should know the difference between a Swiss burger (a burger with swiss cheese) and a Wisconsin Swiss Melt (a patty melt with Swiss cheese). Not five minutes later the manager was called to a table where the meals were wrong for the children. At least he didn't suggest the perhaps the toddlers should have read the cashier display. So, I haven't been back in several months. Maybe they will get it together, but so far disappointing. read more

We frequent this place a few times a month. We always have a good experience. The burgers are great and nothing beats there ice cream!

Got the mushroom swiss burger and fries basket with a diet pepsi, hubby had a triple bacon cheese burger, fries and (yes, lol) diet pepsi. Everything came out to our table hot, tasted awesome, not over salted and the kicker was less than $20. Will be back to try some of the other tasty looking items. Love the food here, but the atmosphere kind of ruins the experience. It is always absolutely freezing in this place, and the "background" music is so loud I can't hear the people at my own table. Seriously annoying. read more

Culvers is a chain found all over Wisconsin. There burgers are "butter burgers" aka burger on a buttered bun. The burgers are assembled when ordered so it's not traditional fast food. Instead you order at a counter and are given a number to put on your table so a server can deliver your food. They have a good number of options beyond burgers. The frozen custards are very good. My favorite splurge is the fried cheese curds - think fried cheese in bite size curd form. While I'm sure they have some healthier options, but this is a splurge kind of place for us from a dietary standpoint. Very reasonable priced. All in all very good for this type of restaurant. I live in Taylors SC but I don't like the cust service at the one on Wade Hampton Blvd, so I drive all the way to the location on Woodruff RD. They are usually very pleasant however my visit yesterday wasn't pleasant at all!!!! The flavor of the day was Andes something or another and I put it in my calendar so I could take the kids after supper. Well it wasn't available but one lady didn't know why and the other lady seemed to have a darn attitude that I walked out. I mean I drove all the way for that flavor ONLY if you weren't going to have it I believe an email blast should have been sent out. Just because you live near a location doesn't mean you like going there or your near there. So suggesting I go to the location near me is ridiculous!!!! read more

So they have these flavor of the month, and I LOVE Andes Chocolate!!! And my boyfriend told me about this and he was like let me get some cool points in going take you some where. And we got there and they introduced the flavor of the day and I was like OMG your like the best boyfriend on the planet right now LOL!!!! The staff was very courteous and the establishment was clean it was first time there and it won't be my last. My boyfriend ended up getting a cookies and cream milkshake!!!!! Two stars because the custard is decent. The staff is ill informed and rude. We went through the drive thru just for a small treat. My boyfriend asked the female worker what flavor options you could get in the ice cream for shakes since we could only see mix in options on the menu. She replied blandly that options "are listed on the menu". We saw mix in options but no flavors. Since the photo on the menu showed a green shake, we asked what the green shake in the photo was and she told us it was mint and it was listed on the menu. It absolutely was not listed on the menu but that was fine.. my boyfriend ordered his while I struggled in vain to find topping options for the build your own sundae, since the picture shown seemed to offer options like strawberry, fudge, etc. I asked the girl what options were available for sundae toppings. Again, she said "it's on the menu", which it was not. The only things listed were the mix ins (Oreo, Reese's, etc). I said "no ma'am I'm not asking about mix ins, I mean flavor toppings like strawbe" - before I could finish, she huffily said "you can get chocolate or vanilla or the flavor of the day". I dared to ask what the flavor of the day was.. "It's caramel cashew and it's ON THE MENU" with serious attitude this time. At this point another car had pulled up behind me, so, feeling rushed and flustered, I ordered a scoop of the caramel cashew. I pulled forward and waited for a few minutes and after the line (which consisted of myself, the car in front of me and one car behind me) didn't budge, I realized I was about to pay for a scoop of ice cream I didn't really want all because the "worker" couldn't be bothered to tell me the topping options for sundaes, so we got out of line and went to Cook Out. A word to Culver's: please have your employees look at the drive through menu. The menu inside may be more comprehensive, but the drive through menu has very few options listed. Also, it wouldn't have killed her, even if the topping list WAS on the menu, to list off some toppings instead of her downright rude behavior, so maybe hiring employees with better attitudes should be a priority for you. I will not be spending money at this restaurant any time soon. read more

My father-in-law love Culver's but I just don't get the fascination. At this particular Culver's there were tons of folks in to eat, so obviously they have a pretty good following. I have been to Culver's in TX, SC and IA, just think the only good thing would be the frozen custard which I do like a lot but don't really care that much for their burgers or fries so I give them just an average rating. read more

First time here. Had the walleye platter (which is only available for a limited time - but the staff didn't know just how long). The fish was somewhat greasy, and had a lot of small bones. Very small amount of fries - about half portion of what similar restaurants give. Order is placed at the counter and then brought out to you. Staff is very friendly and efficient. The walleye platter, a single burger, an order of onion rings, and an order of cheese curds came to just over $26 - I thought a little pricey. read more

They have great burgers and other sandwiches. The post roast sandwich is a little salty, but very good. The ice cream is excellent.

As someone who summers in Wisconsin I was thrilled to finally have a Culvers near me in SC!! Wonderful food. My only complaint is that sometimes the burgers I get in the drive thru are super greasy. Cheese curds are TO DIE for. Especially with thousand island dressing!! read more

First and last visit here. $7.63 for a "value" basket?! No prices on menu, so the value price was quite surprising. For fast food the price and the food is disappointing compared to any other places I normally go. Got the Northern Cod fish sandwich basket; the fish has a freezer taste. Don't care for those kinds of fast food fries either that are fluffy inside as if diluted & made out of processed instant potatoes. Hard to believe the "value" price for such...less than mediocre food!!! Certainly have no reason to return. read more
