The care was excellent, they did a thorough and complete physical, and referred her to quest for her blood work. I was so happy they did a physical on her first day instead of asking tons of meaningless questions. My daughter suffered several strokes in 2023 and i mentioned the strokes via telephone prior to her appt. The Weside Family Center read her files from her previous doctor (or the care cordinator) and found out that my daughter was seeking a neurologist but had not found one yet and was in limbo. They called my daughter the very next day with a appointment set up with a neurologist near her home! I could'nt believe it! They also gave her the option to pick another neurologist outside her area if she wanted that service. I have never recieved such spot on treatment from a doctor on the first meeting. Unfortunetly i did not go inside the appt with her because I had a doctors appt at the same time at another facility. But I am so happy with the care she recieved from the Weside Center For Families! She had a video visit with Dr. Narvaez, who, heard her symptoms, & when the nursing staff failed to answer sis's call button, told her to call 911. Thank goodness!!! 3 days in ICU and now, much improved... Expect her to have a recovery, albeit, extended now, BUT, this weekend I'm soooo grateful she pulled thru!!! She answered a lot of my questions, and if she did not know about a hormone question I had, I was graciously referred to a specialist. I really liked her honesty, patience, personality, and sense of humor made me feel really comfortable for my first visit. I'm glad I made the switch to Linda for PCP, because my previous doctor assumed I was young and healthy, and would fast track our annual visits, but I would also rely on the data rather than a simple number (my age) to justify my health. I will say some of these comments on Yelp talk about the front desk, but my experience was more of the check out desk, who seemed unnecessarily grumpy that morning. There was a prescription that wasn't send to a pharmacy, and I tried to ask the front desk about it, but she snapped at me and said to ask the pharmacy (with attitude). Next time I could do better and stand on my ground more firmly, but as this review is for Linda Narvaez and not for the front desk/ check out person, I am personally rating Linda as 5 stars.

Dr. Shafipour is absolutely amazing. He is extremely easy to connect with when you are having a problem and is the kind of doctor you can only dream of having. I have not felt well for many years and it has never been diagnosed so I am constantly bugging him for suggestions as to whom to see next. Despite my previous statement, the overall service I had for serious medical issues was fine but there were certain physicians, with huge egos that made some of my treatments unnecessarily unpleasant. UCLA has some great physicians. Just hope your luck will match you with a good one if you desire care at UCLA.
