This is the third house I have had an installation by Culligans but the first one with the Salem VA office. I would NOT recommend the Salem office for any installation of a water filtration system. There is MAJOR mismanagement in this office and the manager told me several times that there have been many complaints about this service person who came out to my house (who is the owners son). Initially I had Julian install the system but the hole in my countertop was too small for the water nozzle, so owners son came over the following week to Dremel the countertop hole and complete the installation. I personally talked to owners son a few days before he got here to make sure he brought stronger zip ties for the 5 gallon tank that was suspended from the wall. The owners son came out and he was totally unprepared with the equipment he needed to do the installation. He walked in the house with zero tools and then after looking at the sink he said he had to go get his dremel. He went outside at least 7 times getting equipment. It was obvious that he was ill prepared and unorganized. He did not come with the plumbing straps to hold up the 5 gallon tank for the RO system so he went to Lowe's to get. He did not bring the correct box (century link) and said it had to be special ordered but called the next day saying he found the correct one. Each and every mistake he made, he blamed it on someone in the office when HE was responsible for packing his own truck. He dumped salt on my curb that did not melt with the 95 degrees and i have a dog that walks there. I told the office I did not want him back to my house to install the century link, so Julian came out today to complete the job. I asked Julian to check the owners son work because I did not trust him. Julian had to replace the plumbing straps because the plumbing straps that were installed were a bit compromised. *** I am extremely pleased with the professionalism and craftmanship of Julian however I am very upset that this office continues to send the owners son out when Misty (the office manager) told me they have had many complaints about the owners son. An installation that should have taken one visit took 3 visits because of the incompetence of one employee and mismanagement of the office. Even though Julian did a great job, I will not be recommending the Salem office to anyone because of their mismanagement read more

I had a water system with Reverse Osmosis system installed about two years ago. From day one the faucet draining into the drain constantly trickled. They came out to "fix" it and installed an adapter (see photo) in the line. The tech said I need to disconnect the line every once in awhile and clean the hose. I recently called them and was told the charges are $125 just to show up which included 15 minutes of "service" plus $3 for fuel. After that was $22.50 for every 15 minutes plus charge for any parts. They a tech would call me that afternoon or the following day. They've said that same thing in the past when I called them. Never heard from them again. I paid thousands of dollars to have a clean water system. You can see in the pictures the product and service you get if you do business with this company. If Yelp had negative stars, this company would have them. read more

I had a under the sink water filtration system . Culligan RC EZ-3. The original filter worked fine. After 1 year I replaced the filter. The new filter began to leak. Not much, but enough that would cause damage if not detected in time. I found Culligan customer support phone number and made several calls. No answer or the wait time was ridiculous. So I emailed them. A week went by no response. I sent a second email. A week went by no response. I sent a third email and got a question about my address and that they would notify my local distributor. Several more weeks have gone by, No response. My review, Product in its original condition worked fine, easy to install. provided great filtered drinking water in many areas where water may have be contaminated. For this I would have given Culligan filter system a 4 out of 5 stars. Customer service I give 1 out of 5 stars. And to top it off I will have to buy a new filtration system so I didn't save a dime here. Nor will I ever use Culligan services again. Obviously I am not important to them as a customer. read more

The good: our salesman Ric was very friendly and spent time with us configuring a system. One part of the system is a reverse osmosis filter for the kitchen and it is a great success. The drinking water from this is excellent and we love it. The bad: after a year of trying to get the water from the main ion-exchange system, we continue to get the same hard water out as goes in. No reduction in calcium or iron levels. The system just does not work. Worse yet is the support we have gotten from the local office. A repairman came out once and worked on the system but it still didn't produce soft water, and no one has come out since, despite our reaching out to our sales rep. Now the salesman has stopped responding to our polite calls, the office manager said he was too busy to help. We have purchased a full and expensive system that has never worked. I would advise others to steer away from this company. read more

I ordered water delivery service from them and it was terrible. Service was not reliable. They would not deliver when they said they would. When they would deliver, they would not call to say they was coming. Still waiting for credit when they picked up the empty bottles read more

Good product, good technicians, terrible service. Took three weeks to recharge Iron Clear system; meanwhile clothes, linens, sinks, toilets, etc. turned red. Calls to managers went unanswered. read more
