Turned out to be a problem with the control valve that should have been checked on the first visit. They installed a check valve on the water supply, that should have been part of the initial installation. That valve cracked at the joint a few weeks later, partially flooding the basement. All along, they wanted me to to pay for all of their continued mistakes. It is hard to believe they are still in business. Service is not knowledgeable. Find another solution for your water needs.

A few months ago I decided to try home water delivery because I wanted my family to start drinking more water and thought the kids would be more inclined to drink it if we had a dispenser and bottles delivered regularly. I went with Culligan because well to be honest, it was the most familiar name to me so I felt comfortable trying them out. I'm glad I did! Not only are we drinking a lot more water but they made the process of starting service so easy. It took a while to figure out our usage so they were really good about getting us water when we ran out before our scheduled delivery day. The ladies who answer the phone are always so nice whenever I've had to call and made sure I recieved the extra water quickly. My neighbor noticed I was getting water delivery and asked me how I liked their service because they were getting there's from a different company and weren't happy with it. I told them I loved it and absolutely recommended them to try them. They did and said its like night and day in comparison to what they had before. I obviously don't have experience with other water companies but going off my neighbors word, I doubt another company could top the service I've gotten so far.

When the gentleman arrived (he was kind and professional) he removed the equipment (some random tubing was left behind) but left another watery mess and couldn't get the water running back to our fridge. And left. So now I have another problem, that I didn't have before I ever got this water system installed. It was 0/10 worth it, it's expensive, it was messy and now I have to pay yet another fee to get someone out here to get my fridge water working again.

In the middle of winter the water took a toll on our family, and we were going through lotion all the time. Needless to say, not a single one of us has had to use lotion since the install!! We called Culligan and they can put the next day. Kevin tested our water and actually educated us on our water and different things we could do. He was AWESOME!! He got a quote done on site and gave us the pros & cons to both renting and buying and the differences between different products. Super polite, very professional. The tech came out to install a week later and was also super polite and very respectful of our home. The install was faster than originally quoted. We'd originally planned to pay first month and the install that day, but half way through the install I received a phone call of a family emergency. Our technician heard that and said "Don't worry about anything today. Take care of your family and we'll work on the payment and stuff later when things are better". And continued the install. Unfortunately, Rachel was not easy to work with throughout the process. When I raised concerns about professionalism with upper management, Rachel later spoke negatively about me to another employee. About me personally, while on the clock. Justin asked how he could resolve the issue, and I simply requested an apology for the unprofessional behavior. However, he made it clear that no apology would be offered, which is unfortunate as I've been a customer for many years.

I called a competitor and they quoted me about 8k with a Maintence fee. I called Culligan and their system was less than half and since my experience with softening systems was sketchy at best I went with the cheaper option especially after the other salesman told me they charge 20k for the same system in Alexandria because the market will pay the price. I expected little but got a wild surprise. The crap that came out of our lines required me to remove and clean all faucets and shower heads. I had to clean the back of my tanks because it was cleaning out all the rust and crap from the back of the tanks. Our drinking glasses we simply threw away every month or so. There is no cost to us, which is great. However, Culligan is only open 8-4:30 M-F, so definitely not easy for people who work to schedule the service call. Expanded hours at least one night a week would be much more customer friendly, since I really don't want to take a vacation day so Culligan can come to my house.

When you try to call, you will be on hold for minumum 15 minutes. We tried to cancel our service this week. I called and they told me to leave out the jugs and they would pick them up and return my deposit. Since it took me 2 tries and 30+ minutes to get through to someone, I asked for an email followup confirming my cancelation. The next day, I look outside and there are 16 NEW jugs sitting on my porch, blocking my front door. I check my email and the gal never emailed me. I go on my account and they also charged me for these jugs! I tried calling again and after 2 more attempts and an additional 20 minutes I finally spoke to someone. He apologized and sent the driver back who did actually take the jugs this time. Unfortunately, I still haven't been refunded the false charge (over $150) and they told me it will take OVER 30 days to give me my deposits for the jugs back (about $100). Looking at these other reviews, I'm not confident I will be refunded and get my deposit back. If they do refund me, ill follow-up. Save yourself money and headaches by just ordering a Ninja Hydrasense filter on Amazon. I gave this company an opportunity to make this right and have a manager call me, but they wont even do that. Whoever runs this company doesnt know what they are doing. With the new water filter technology coming out, they will be out of business within a few years.
