I am very disappointed in this company. From the beginning they have been dishonest and rude. I switched my service from Ready Refresh to Culligan Sarasota in Dec 2024, since then they have gotten my monthly order wrong 3 of the 7 deliveries they made. Then when I told them I was moving out of state, they told me I was in a 24 month contract, which I knew nothing about. Now they want me to pay for 16 months of a service and product I will never receive. They are crooks and they pray on the elderly. DO NOT sign up with them! read more

It is worth it paying the extra money because the service is so reliable even even on a weekend! I contacted Culligan-Nokomis (In late May 2024) to establish an account for salt and chemical delivery services for my home water softener system as a FIRST-TIME customer. First, I was told Culligan only delivers every 3 months. I agreed to that frequency. Then I was told my first delivery would be July 3, 2024. I agreed to that (although I had hoped it would be sooner than 30 days from establishing an account). So July 3 rolls around. I waited all morning for delivery. No delivery. So I called the office and talked to the Service Dep't at 12:30PM to inquire as to an ETA of the truck. I was told they would reach out to the driver and he would call me. The driver did call. He told me he would arrive at about 1:00PM but no later than 1:30PM. Guess what, 1:30 passed by and still no delivery (nor any courtesy follow-up contact from Culligan). I guess I am just supposed to hang around and wait, wait, wait until they finally show up (if they even do show up). After 2-1/2 hours of waiting, I called the office again around 3:00PM. Was told he is running behind (like I couldn't already have figured that out). I asked when will he arrive? The Service Dep't informs they cannot reach him or make any contact. All they can do is text him as he is not answering his phone. Another hour passes by. I called the office again around 4:00PM. Was told he is running behind (like I didn't already know that). I told them I needed to leave as I had waited all day and I had errands to run. They said they would have the driver call me before he arrives. Guess what. No phone call from the driver until he is actually sitting at the end of my driveway (now 4:15PM, 3+ hours LATE). So I go outside and meet him only to find out he DOES NOT HAVE any of the products I ordered on his truck (12 gallons of peroxide and 10 bags of salt; about $275 worth of product). He said no one told me you wanted peroxide and I don't have enough salt. At this point I blew up. I had had enough Culligan aggravation. So the driver got back in his truck and drove away. No explanation for their incompetence, no apology, no trying to make things right, just drove away. All I can say Culligan-Nokomis you really make a wonderful, first-time customer impression. YOU SUCK and I am done with Culligan along with their rudeness, lack of customer appreciation and their total incompetence. Good riddens. read more

Appears my long running billing dispute is close to being resolved. Just be aware that the online bill pay is very clunky if you are using a smart phone. It does not limit the transaction to the single billing amount. If you press more than once it WILL charge you. read more

Chad came exactly on time of appointment. Very professional and knowledgeable. Explained everything to us and was not pushy whatsoever. We went with Chad because he was kind and was not looking to upsell us anything besides what we had been interested. A+ all the way. Adam who came the next day to do the installation was very polite and did a clean and tidy job. Adam made sure our plants were not damaged during the install, he showed us exactly what he was going to do and explained the system once again to us. We had RO and smart water softener systems installed recently. We were impressed by the demonstration Sara Ruby performed; teaching us the quality of our water and the value these systems would provide moving forward. She was a delightful person and extremely knowledgeable in her field. It is early in the game, but so far the softened water feels wonderful and knowing our RO drinking water is safer for consumption is comforting. Our installer, Ryan, was also very knowledgeable and friendly. He performed his job adeptly while keeping the installation sites neat and clean. I consider this a job well done and hope the product performs as well as the employees over the course of many years! read more

Do not use Culligan Sarasota/Lakewood Ranch. No one all year checked our RO system. Now after a year they want $860 a year to maintain the system. It's supposed to get new filters after a year so of course first year warranty didn't cover. I called another Culligan who was very reasonable. Culligan informed me that each franchise sets their own prices. This franchise is double for salt delivery and undependable. They make it so others cannot maintain the system because they don't sell their filters or parts. Totally proprietary. So if you buy their system you are stuck. We can buy a different reverse osmosis for the $860 they want to maintain our system read more

What an absolute joke! I purchased the Culligan softener on reputation and was excited for the service... until there wasn't any... I was provided the platinum program for the first 12 months and they dropped off service at the 11th month... when I called no one answered or returned the phone calls... until I got an email 5 months later saying I was in collections for not paying for the renewal of the platinum service... ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? I have been servicing the unit since February and again all I get is the run around... you put me in collections for $32???? for services not provided... a bag of salt is under 10$... DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!!!! read more

I installed a Culligan all house conditioning system and a kitchen faucet plus a refrigerator RO system about a year ago. Angelo Negron, the owner, did the installation and it was flawless. We have needed a few tweaks to the system since then but again, Angelo was only a call away. I think "service" is his middle name. He is the CULLIGAN MAN you want. read more

We recently had Culligan come out to our new home to test the water after hearing from neighbors of the poor water quality in our neighborhood. Our sales associate, Anne-Marie Kelley, was fantastic. She came out and performed all of the tests on our water and explained the results to us and what they meant. It was truly shocking to see how poor the water was and she recommended great products for us. We decided for now to go with the RO system for our drinking water and it is by far the best tasting water we have ever had. They are a little on the expensive side, so we only went with the RO system for now but plan on getting a softener system in the future. read more

The gentleman was very knowledgeable and fast. Came the same day. Up and running the next day! He gave me options on the repair. That I liked. I have had a culligan water softener for 18 yrs. Only needed service twice. I replaced the tank because of age- the stuff in there had broken down and water thru house seemed to have lost water pressure. And the mechanics inside the box was gummy from age. For a lot less than a new one my softener has a new life. I am hoping to have it for another 18 yrs! They just don't make them like they use to. We recently moved into a new home in a brand new development. Upon moving in we noticed that our skin was constantly dry and our water was staining all the showers and bathrooms. My wife mentioned to me that we should get the water tested which is what we decided to do. Within a few days we had a Culligan rep come out to the house to perform the test and after seeing 1st hand all the chemicals in the water and the overall harshness of it we decided to put in a Culligan system. Since it's installation which was done the very next day we have experienced a huge difference immediately! First of all our skin feels so much softer, the smell of the water which we have previously noticed has gone away , and all that staining that we used to see has disappeared. The sales rep, Kristen, and the installer, Andrew, were two of the best people I have dealt with since moving to Florida three years ago! Kristen was extremely thorough in explaining the effectiveness and benefits of the system and demonstrated the testing of my tap water, bottled water and filtered refrigerator water (not!). She set up an installation appointment for the next day (really?) Kristen spent ample time and was not a high pressured sales person. It was easy to see she was passionate and believed in the Culligan water filter and the benefits of the water softening system. She provided a few options and made it easy for me to determine what would work best for me. The price was affordable! Andrew came to install at my home at the scheduled time (wow!) I did verbally "attack" Andrew minutes after he entered my home. Although Kristen warned me about this, it didn't sink in until the next morning when Andrew came to my door to install. I was VERY disappointed that due to my sink being on an island in the kitchen, the filtering system would not work for my refrigerated water. What? I expressed that was one of my main reasons for looking into this. I drink lots of water and ice dispensed from my refrigerator filtered water. Andrew remained professional and placed a call and after a brief 3-way discussion they came up with a great solution. They had a separate filter delivered immediately and installed in a cupboard above the refrigerator. Yay! I am happy. I have not told Kristen yet. Andrew was extremely professional and helpful by explaining everything about the installation. I am one who asks lots of questions and paid attention when he was working (w/o annoyance, I hope!) He answered all my questions to my satisfaction. Andrew was neat while working and offered me different options while doing the installation. I really liked that! On the first day of using soft water in the shower, I felt the difference on my skin and the feel and manageability of my hair. My morning tea also tastes better. Although it is only a few days since the installation, I am a very satisfied customer. I did not post this the day after installation when I wrote this because my computer had a virus and is in the "hospital" for repair. I will highly recommend Culligan. We moved to Florida just over a year ago. Within a short time I began having respiratory problems and other health issues. I had comprehensive testing done for allergies which are common around the Sarasota area. All of the tests came back negative. For a while I treated the symptoms with some success, but never knew why I was having these health issues. I made an appointment to have a representative from Culligan come to our home and test our water. I was surprised by what I was shown. It was clear to me that my family and I were consuming unhealthy levels of chemicals and toxins. I decided to have a RO system installed and a whole house system as well. I was surprised at the cost of the system. It was about 30% more than I expected it to be. Then I looked at the treadmill gathering dust in our bedroom, and decided that the difference in what the cost would be was worth the peace of mind. Knowing that my family is consuming healthy water, and my plumbing and appliances are going to last much longer, in my opinion made this purchase worthwhile. read more

Installation appointment made for the following day. Benjamin arrived on time and was neat, professional and installation was completed in a timely fashion. He gave me a glass of water from the newly installed RO system and I could immediately taste the difference. My wife did as well. We've had the system for a little over a week and couldn't be happier with the water quality. My wife says her hair feels softer now. We also have more suds when doing the dishes. When I moved to the area last August I called Culligan and continued the account for the home. Months later, When I got a bill for almost $300 I paid it. My husband asked why I was paying it when Culligan hadn't ever been to our house. I called them to confirm and they said "oops, we haven't been to your house, we've been charging your for the last few months, and we'll refund it." They did. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and sign up for their water delivery service, which I was told was $9.99 a month for a three month trial, and was assured I could cancel anytime. After their delivery man called me this morning to let me know he'd be around between 10-12, I came home early and waited around. I called Culligan to check ETA at 12:20. They said they'd call the driver and call me back. It's now 1 pm and nothing. I don't have time to sit around and can't lift the water bottles myself. So I called the cancel the trial and was told that I CAN'T, and I'm responsible for SIX MONTHS of this awful service. When I explained that I was told I could cancel anytime, Destiny said to 'check the little box on my receipt, it's checked off for six months of service.' READ THE FINE PRINT, and make sure that they are actually servicing your home! If they stick by their past actions, they'll charge me anyway. BUYER BEWARE. read more

Been a customer for almost 7 years and just received a letter from their Bottled Water Coordinator, Marie, informing me that I will have a 70% increase to my monthly rate that will take effect 1/31. Management should be ashamed that a very poorly worded letter like this is drafted from a coordinator instead of them. Also, it would have been nice to have read a "thank you for your business" somewhere in this letter. Instead it was "If you choose not to continue service due to the increase I understand". Now I understand that rate increases are necessary, but 70% with no appreciation of my business....this company needs to seriously evaluate the way they are doing business! The only reason I am giving them two stars is because of the quality of water. Wish I had another choice in Culligan dealers. read more

We recently moved to the Bradenton area from the Midwest and we are not unfamiliar with the side effects of hard water to our home. After seeing the water test results from our home, we decided to install the HE Plus whole house system. We noticed the change to the water within the first couple of days. We decided to have drinking water delivered in bottles in lieu of installing another faucet in my kitchen for filtered water. We are happy with the service from the office, our salesman, Mike, our system install (which was the next day) and the responsiveness of our water bottle delivery people. I would highly recommend Culligan for anyone who is concerned with the quality of your water and how hard water will negatively affect your water tank, pipes and faucets. read more

Horrible customer service and communication. Customer is "always wrong" regardless of who you are speaking to in the company regarding your problem. Three subsequent bills were incorrect and didn't have a breakdown of what I was being charged for. Two of the items I had told Culligan office staff twice I didn't want. After getting off the phone with them for the third time, hopefully this time the two items will be taken off my account. Except for the general manager (who still told me I was mistaken and they couldn't do anything for me regarding a communication issue with his staff), the office staff is rude and unprofessional. A neighbor of mine made a joke when he heard I was getting Culligan by saying, "oh you mean Call- again and call-again and again and again." That is a correct description regarding this company when you have any issues. read more

Water is our most precious resource. I knew when moving to Florida that finding good water was going to be difficult. Walking through Home Depot one afternoon, I was approached by a Culligan Sarasota representative and immediately signed up for a home water test. The salesman walked me through the water test and installation process. He was thorough and polite and let me know he was running late well ahead of schedule. I signed up and was pleased with next day's installation. They even removed an old defunct water softening system and hauled it away -- not an easy task. It's been about two weeks since it's installation and I find that the water feels soft on my hands, there are no longer spots on my glasses from the dishwasher, my whites are whiter and yes, I even use less soap in everything I do. I feel this was one of the best purchases I made since moving to Florida. When it comes to my health, it was well worth it particularly because of the potential carcinogens already present in our everyday life. read more

We have had culligan bottled water for probably 20-22 years now in our homes and it tastes great! Our dogs love it too. However , wondering if they've had a management change. Have had to call several times to get annual delivery calendar , which usually just came. Driver turnover has increased and customer service is lacking. I had my 3 empty bottles out today as it was bottled water delivery day. I came out as the Culligan truck drove right on by. He stopped 1-2 houses down to deliver and I tried to catch him but couldn't. I did notice he was not my regular guy. I called right away and Marie said she would try to catch him. ( this is around 9:30 am) So about 12:30-1pm the 3 empty water bottles are still there. I call back and Marie is at lunch. They offer to get a manager on the phone. "Jo" gets on the phone and tells me she checked with the driver and he said he delivered 4 bottles in front of our garage and if he said he did, he did. I told I only had 3 bottles, I was standing on top of them and they were empty!!!. ( so much for the customer being right, she in essence was calling me a liar ) she was going to check again. I hadn't heard from her in 30 min. , so I called back and was put on terminal hold. I gave them my phone # and it's 3:48pm, still no answers. I have photo's. Not what I expected from Culligan , very rude and not helpful to the customer at all. They are not the only company out there so time to explore.. it is now 8:pm. Bottles still empty . No return call from Culligan . Unbelievable. read more
