I called and spoke to Victoria who basically told me they weren't interested in doing it my way since it wasn't to "code", which I presume is industry talk for you need the most expensive option. I agreed to get a quote to do it "their" way. Surprise, no quote! I'm not a believer in chasing after a contractor that clearly has no interest in my business.

I called the plumber who had installed it 4 years ago and no answer. So came here to find help immediately. I called Pipedex Plumbing and spoke to a person (that was the first plus). They were able to make it out in less than 2 hours and with that, they have a GPS service so you can see where they are as they are on the way to your home. (Second plus). Very professional and not only removed the old one, but came right back with a new one. I called at 1:45pm and by about 5pm or so, we had a new water heater installed and hot water a half hour after that. (Third plus) Pipedex truly saved the day for us and cost wise was lower than I expected. (They get a 4th and 5th plus for that) I only take my time to write reviews when it is an exceptional experience. Thank you!!!

I had to use Champion on a Sunday evening as an emergency service when my non potable water line…read morestarted to leak due to a rusted pipe that burst. Someone picked up immediately, I believe her name was Christine. I let her know it's an emergency as the line was flooding into my lawn. Within half an hour, Sam arrived, diagnosed the issue and cut the line off. The busted pipe was on the city's side, and he advised me that while they can go ahead and fix the issue, it would financially be more beneficial for me to call the city and have them repair it and pick up the cost. Sam cut the non-potable water service off which resolved the issue until the city was able to come out and repair it. Despite Champion giving me a notice ahead of time that there is an upcharge since its afterhours, they only charged me about 160$ to come out and do the work as it was quick. Sam was extremely knowledgeable too and works with integrity, and Christine did an amazing job keeping me informed on the status. I hope I have the opportunity to use Champion Plumbing on future work.

It was the price that concerned me for a 6 year warranty water heater (the lowest, cheapest water heater) installed. I would have possibly negotiated for a better water heater, but the initial quote from Titanz really put me off. Well above market price, including all the permits required. Install won't happen for a couple of days. I get scheduling, so not too bad of hit. I've since installed the top of the line 12 year water heater (because I'm a nerd). The tech should have known I knew what I was doing (see nerd reference) since I've replaced both heater elements, both thermostats and the anode rod. I see the leak at the weld point of the top element (nerd with magnifying glasses). I've done my research and have maintained and installed water heaters in the past. I don't mind supporting local business, but dang guys: know your audience.
