I reminded myself exactly how much I love it and how I've missed out! I want to make an effort to come more next year. We almost missed out because even though we called 3 weeks in advance the reservations were full. Luckily we were able to get through on a cancellation yesterday. We started out with the Honeysquash soup and the lamb meatballs, which are still my favorite. The soup was a bit thinner than I expected but still tasted great. Our main course came and I finally got to try their short ribs! (If you only knew the saga we went through in 2018 to try and fail to get to taste their short ribs you would understand.) They were every bit as yummy as I imagined. They came with a side of their crispy potato cake - which was more like scalloped potatoes but I loved them. It also came with roasted parsnips and radishes. I haven't had parsnips in years but trust me when I say I'll have to try to get them more now. They were roasted with I believe just a little oil, salt and pepper so the vegetables shown through. Exactly how I like them! The eggnog ice cream was tasty but the ginger molasses cookies were the star! The service was friendly, especially considering that my dinning partner was left alone for the first 20 minutes due to a ride/work snafu on my part. The place was decked out for the holidays and it would be worth a visit just to see that. I will for sure be back, I only wish I had someone to go to their February Valentine's Day event with so I could eat more of their food soon! ---- A side note is their CSA program was cancelled in 2019. I hope they will bring it back as I definitely miss getting all the fresh produce!

Our price included 1 alcoholic drink and all the painting supplies with the instructor. We walked in 15 minutes, but since we called ahead, they stalled the class for us, which is pretty awesome. Our instructions were to redeem our drinks, then squirt paint onto out paper palattes, then we sat down and got started. There was music in the background, giving the atmosphere a fun but relaxed feel. It's fun watching how different everyone's technique was. The owners joined us in singing outside to a few songs and even dancing around the room. Afterwards, the snapped everyone's group shots with their finished product. The night was so much fun, I'm planning on doing it again in the near future!

There was PLENTY of space for our hair and makeup and the lighting was great! I loved that there was a little dining area in the back for us to keep drinks and bagels so we could eat breakfast and drink mimosas while getting pampered!! We were able to hook our phones up to the sound system to play our own playlists while we got ready too, which was such a good vibe for the morning of my wedding. I was also REALLY impressed with the customer service - we had a bit of a mix up while booking, and Samantha was INCREDIBLY accommodating. The space was SO cute and felt so special :)

The class was fun…read moreand we were given the option of painting it then or we could come back at a later time and paint it with studio paints and make designs, so we chose that option this class was in November). We went to paint these on February 13. We did very detailed pieces with flowers and intricate designs. The studio told me that they would be done within two weeks to a month. After a month passed, I called to see if our pieces were done, they weren't. After this, I called every week as the studio never followed up with me. Our pieces were finally done on April 3rd. So, I went in on the 4th to pick them up at opening. I waited an extra 15 minutes after opening and they had no one there, I knocked on the door and no one came. They did not have it anywhere that they were closed. I finally picked up our pieces and this studio absolutely destroyed our pieces. They melted the glaze and did not heat them in the proper temperature and ruined all our work designing them. So after 6 months, our pieces are going in the garbage. There was no apology for trashing our pieces or offer to reimburse us or to come in and redo them. It was so unfortunate that the team did not care to make things right.

We started the evening with a bottle of wine before ordering the homemade Bolognese and the bison filet with smooth, creamy mashed potatoes. Both dishes were full of flavor and beautifully prepared. Of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert, and we're glad we saved room because both were the perfect ending to the meal! Whether you're celebrating a special occasion, planning a date night, or simply looking for a great meal downtown, I'd definitely recommend adding Mulberry Street Tavern to your list!
