I've been hearing about this place for years and was super excited to try the sushi. The drinks were really good! I got the Red Sangria and my boyfriend got the Tamarind Michelada. 2 stars because everyone I was with got their food A WHOLE HOUR before I did. The waitress kept saying "10 more minutes" but I never got it. We ended up having to ask for it to go because my friends all finished their food before I even got mine. Definitely overhyped. The sushi was big but mushy once I got it and the sauces in the box were spilled everywhere.

Not really sure why this place has such a low rating. I've been here a few time already, and every time, their service has been phenomenal and their food and drinks have always tasted great. Plus you have live banda or mariachi playing most nights. Do you guys have any idea how much those guys charge an hour for your kids baptism? Take advantage of that loud music because it ain't cheap. Even when other people at the restaurant are paying them to play songs. I actually enjoy the music. So it was disappointing when they didn't have any music the last time I went. I usually come during one of their specials nights. They have some really good deals. Tuesday nights they have $3 margaritas and $5 pina coladas and they're very tasty. You can't beat that! On Wednesday nights, they have two for one sushi. The two sushi's we had ordered tasted pretty much the same, just with different presentations in my opinion. They were still though. And on Tuesday nights they also has two for tacos. I ordered their shrimp taco and an pulpo (octopus) taco, both for just $3. We do plan on ordering one of their more expensive entree but have to take advantage of their deals when you can. Can't wait to be back!

Not bad. Service is pretty nice. It's a bit slow sometimes which is weird because we typically go there for lunch during the week when it's not too busy. Food is good and prices don't break the bank tho so it brings us back each time. We typically get a shrimp or fish taco each and share a couple of the rolls. They're huge so the thought of finishing a roll by myself ain't gonna happen. Huge I'm telling you. You can get all roles fried too! There may be some that it doesn't work out as fried but we try to ask for at least one as fried. Large space and can accommodate large groups. Drinks are good, there's a full bar. Bathrooms are clean. I really wanna go one weekend night because I believe they have a band and it looks like it can get fun.

Their sauce caddy has plenty of choices (L-R): sriracha, mayo, soy sauce, spicy mayo, and salsa negra, a delicious house specialty!

SEÑOR SUSHI A new Latin seafood place has opened in Stone Park.....with a very non-traditional twist. After seeing the failure of the previous business (Roadhouse 64) at this address, I was surprised to see another restaurant pop up about a month ago. They're touted as serving "sinaloa style" fare, which essentially means lots of 'camarón' (shrimp). Let me say this: fusion places are usually a roll of the culinary dice. I tried French hibachi once with mixed results, so I can't help but get a teensy bit skittish when I see a tried-and-true cuisine venturing off of the conventional path. Feeling bold, I came here for lunch on Wednesday 11/8/17 to see what Culichi Town had to offer. I was ushered to a table and given prompt service, as well as complimentary chips & salsa. The tortilla chips were pretty basic, though the house salsa was tasty. There's some major kudos found in their condiment caddy: alongside standard mayo are sriracha, soy sauce, spicy mayo, and a fantastic 'salsa negra' (a smoky, slightly sweet sauce that's practically black in color). I was very impressed by this. Not long after perusing the menu -- which fyi is ENTIRELY in Spanish, for all you gringos out there -- I decided on two specialty rolls, the 'mar y tierra' and 'spicy roll'. I'm thankful that every sushi choice was accompanied by a brightly colored picture, since the ingredients were all 'en español' and I had nooooo idea what I was ordering. Normally priced at $13.50, the aptly-named 'spicy roll' consists of a tempura shrimp core with spicy crab mix, topped with sriracha & sliced serrano peppers. It was plated masterfully and tasted great; the heat level is too much for the average sushi-goer but Latino maki lovers would enjoy it greatly (here's looking at you, Nichole C!) When I think of sushi masters, the Mexicans are pretty much the LAST ethnic group I'd consider (next to ze Germans). Maybe the familiarity with rice has something to do with it? Regardless, the boss who prepared my spicy roll knocked it out of the park with a terrific effort. Mad props!! The other one......well, not so much. The presentation of the 'mar y tierra' ($12) was uninspired, as was the flavor. Steak doesn't belong in a sushi roll, and this made a strong case for why. A breaded exterior gave a weird mouthfeel, too, so I wouldn't recommend any of those choices. Bread = 4.5 Circuses = 4.5 Maybe because it was noon on a weekday, but service was stellar. The waitress I had was prompt, polite, and outlined all the daily specials to me, encouraging my return. All other diners appeared Latino, which is a very good sign (I was yet again the only white dude in sight lol). The entire time I was here, I noticed how clean the dining area was. They paid heed to keep everything spotless in order to best preserve their sparkling new restaurant floor; even the glass doors were routinely wiped down. Nice and shiny :) On Mondays they feature micheladas at a discount, while on Tuesdays margaritas and piña coladas are $5. Perhaps the best deal of all happens on Wednesdays, when you can benefit from 2-for-1 sushi.....yep, buy one roll and get one free! That's just awesome. * TL;DR * Excellent weekday specials, imaginative maki choices, live music most nights, and attentive staff. Mexican sushi sounds like an oxymoron, I know. But trust me when I say that it's definitely worth a shot. As far as fusion restaurants go, Culichi Town gets top marks. Highly recommended!

    Live but noisy band

Well after Thanksgiving I was looking for something different and I would be passing by here to vacuum my cars since I don't want to pay for vacuuming my cars and I keep seeing this restaurant.. I was expecting it to be a Mexican fusion with Asian cuisine but it's a little disappointing on the selections on menu. I have neighbors that play this music very loud with the loud amplifiers. So far the nachos and the salsa was very delicious. I ordered a shrimp taco and on the grill a fish. I wanted to order sushi but I didn't like how they conducted the band because if you're trying to ask questions to the server the music is so loud. They asked me in Spanish but then I said no comprende since my Spanish is not that great and if they wanted a song which is nice but this would not be the place to be a romantic for intimate to take the date out maybe for a bunch of guy friends or friends who like to party wild in Mexican culture this would be a good place. I didn't want to be disrespectful but it was not what I expected since I had to deal with my neighbors who play this music in the backyard with loud amplifiers. Thus the 3 stars. Otherwise fish and shrimp tacos was delicious but their sushi is limited in choice if they're trying to make this Mexican Asian fusion towards the Japanese inspiration

Dinner, music and this delicious spicy mango margarita!

It's loud in there! The entire wait staff right down to the busboy is awesome, and the food is good too, did I mention it's LOUD in there? Came here on a Saturday night at around midnight and was worried the kitchen wouldn't still be open but it was. Yay! They serve some HUGE drinks and really tall shots! The wait staff is super quick! Never had to ask for anything. It was already brought over and they came to our table frequently. I imagine their hearing is shot to hell though considering how loud it is in there. I'm usually not one to complain about noise. I love loud music but damn, I got a headache after 45 minutes there. If you want to talk, do not come here! The band is awesome but you won't be able to hear a damn thing. The food was good but the mango margarita I got had too much tobasco sauce in it. It hurt my stomach. I know it's a cultural thing but now I know the spicy sweet drinks are just not for me. While my roll had a Japanese look to it I'd say the cuisine didn't really taste Mexican or Japanese. My five cheese roll tasted like a fish stick, that's basically what it was. That's cool with me, like fish sticks! The guac was delicious and I love that with the roll you get so many pieces. Overall it was decent.

It was fun entertainment and atmosphere however the drinks are not strong at all. It was super loud you couldn't even hear yourself think and you can't even talk to someone else.

For a first timer service is pretty ok I ordered a shrimp cocktail really good and spicy! Someone who loves seafood this is a really good place for them especially for the sushi very big variety to choose from. Pricing is pretty expensive but it's also seafood! The tacos are AMAZING! Best in my opinion. Clean place overall, didn't do a bathroom check but expect it to be clean as well. Very good environment especially when the band is playing live!

I feel like you wasted my money, more of the musician more than 20 songs at 25 dollars

Today we went to celebrate a friends bday. We ended up consuming more than $500 of food and paid more than $500 for the band. We wanted to dance at least a few songs that we paid for. We danced 2 songs and the security guard, manager came up to us and told us that it was prohibited to dance at the place. We politely asked if we could only dance a few more songs and were told absolutely not. Even the band members and the servers were agreeing with us saying that we should be aloud to dance. We ended up having to leave abruptly after paying our bill because at this point the security guard and the maneger were omg very rude to us and we decided taking our money elsewhere. If you want to have a good time and dance do not go to this place.

Great spot for parties or if you're interested in presentation more.. The drink menu is minimal, but they do specialize in Miicheladas. The flavor was a bit sweeter than your usual however it was a good size for the meal. The ceviche(s) are the winner for this restaurant.. almost 2 pages to choose from (even a Hot Cheeto ).. The whole concept for the restaurant is Japanese- Mexican style and they did not disappoint with the uniqueness that comes with the combination of the two. I chose the Emi roll it was very good and the plate was decorated really nice. My fiancé ordered the langostinos which were cooked perfect, but the sauce was too sweet.. I would honestly just return for the ceviche, however if you are in the area and in the mood for something different I say go for it..

This place is pretty big. My friend and I thought we would give it a try. The drink specials were good. Michelada and a cucumber margarita. Probably the best part of the meal. Service was immediate when we entered. Music wasn't too loud. Wasn't crowded, which is good. While enjoying the drinks we kept getting little flies around us. We were served grilled onion and a pepper which was actually much better than the entree. This was to keep us over because the food seemed to be taking a bit long. We ordered a sushi box to try 3 rolls. We didnt realize ALL their rolls have Philadelphia Cream cheese. ‍ Our fault for not noticing. That's just too much cheese. Each roll was just ok for us. We didnt even finish the box. This just wasn't for us on the sushi. Giving the flies and the sushi, I'm not much excited about visiting anytime soon. I wanted to like it, but we just weren't inpressed.

The fresh-cut fries were a standout too... crispy, hot, and exactly how fries should be. We also tried the stuffed artichoke and that was next level. Upon entering, the place was dead with only one customer eating. Marcy took our order and she was not the kindest person. The food came out fresh after we waited for over 15 minutes, but was nothing special. Very greasy and lacked flavor. She was unprofessional on the phone talking to Uber Eats and it made the meal uncomfortable on top of the tacky and random marine animal decor and poor choice of music playing in the TV. Their restaurant is lacking severely in taste and hospitality. I patiently waited to request for sauces that she forgot to give and she made it seem like I was intruding and interrupting her. She looked over at our table with a rude look and was displeased to give us the ranch that is included in the combo meal. The cole slaw is shredded to pieces and has no bite, the catfish was undercooked and too soft, the shrimps still had shells under the batter, and the chicken wings were small. Everything was extremely oily. They are charging extra for hot sauce, but it literally is just Louisiana hot sauce in a tiny dipping cup. Our total for two meals was $33. You're better off going to another chicken and seafood restaurant for a better deal and price. I was going to do a food vlog at this place, but they are not worth the time wasted to edit and spotlight.
