My wife and I have frequented almost every hotel, and most of the pubs and taverns, and Edgefield is easily has the largest variety and quantity of offerings. If any location can be considered their flagship, Edgefield is probably it, and their care and attention to detail shows here. You'll find everything here, from apparel to craft brews, liquors, ice cream (spiked!), glassware, soaps and lotions, souvenirs, tchotchkes, doodads, and gizmos galore. There's also an espresso stand, which is a nice perk (hah)! If there is something McMenamins brand that you crave, there are few locations comparable to find what you're looking for: 23rd Ave, Old St. Francis (in Bend) both come to mind, but one of them's...a bit of a trek. And besides, who isn't looking for a reason to come to Edgefield?

There were pieces across a wide spectrum of prices, many artists offering prints or canvas options of original art at a fraction of the price. Since I have limited wall space, I have to be very particular with the art I purchase and there are two pieces that I am considering. The artists take turns working at the gallery so you get to meet and speak with them, which I find very enjoyable. Art tells a story and getting to know the artists and the story behind the art makes it that much richer. Troutdale has a First Friday from 5-8pm and Red Trillium is part of this fun monthly event.

One of the rooms is dedicated to their florist business and the flowers are so romantic! Peonies and roses were in abundance the day I visited. The houseplants were so unique! Trailing String of Turtles and the tiny leaves truly had markings of a sea turtle! Same with the beads of coins, string of hearts, and beads of dolphins. I want them all. Lots of gorgeous coffee table books dedicated to all things beautiful in your home and your garden. Any one of them would make a lovely gift. Hint, hint. So would the deliciously scented, high end candles, soaps and lotions, as beautifully designed as they are functional. It was a joy to walk through the shop and explore all of the treasures inside. Just as we were heading out my friend was looking at some earrings and I spotted this box. For $21 I was over the moon with this purchase. It is so timeless and unique it was instant happiness. The owners of the store were so kind as well! I can't lie, my friend and I looked like bums walking in with our sweatpants and messy hair, but they treated us so kindly and wrapped the box meticulously for my travels back home!
