Style Over Substance? A Mixed Brew in Condesa
Cucurucho in Condesa offers a beautifully designed, modern space that's clean, calm, and buzzing with both locals and travelers. It's the kind of café that looks like it should be great.
We ordered two Americanos and an "Immortal" sparkling water. The Immortal was the highlight--made with real honey, lemon, and electrolytes, it had a refreshing, slightly salty kick that tasted genuinely revitalizing.
The Americanos, on the other hand, were underwhelming: made in drip form, served lukewarm, with a bit too much milk. Not bad--but far from memorable.
Ordering was quick, but oddly, it took quite a while to receive our drinks. With six staff behind the bar, we expected faster service for such a simple order and had to follow up ourselves.
The total came to USD $13, which is fair for the area, though the quality didn't quite match the price. A nice place to sit--but come more for the ambiance than the coffee.
