We attempted to bring this to the attention of management, but there was no one on-site (this is Friday, by the way, in the middle of the morning). We attempted to contact customer service and it took 4 attempts to get a human being on the line. The human being on the line was unbelievably unhelpful. Customer service reps at this company apparently cannot see which additional units are available or whether such units might be damaged. After a 30-minute-long, mind-numbing, bang-your-head-against-the-wall-type phone call, we were given another unit ... which also contained water damage. They apparently could not bring a manager to the site so we were told to come back for a scheduled appointment the next day (which was inconvenient as we had brought out items in a rental van with meter running). Given this hellish experience, and the sad, regret-filled looks on all the other consumers who we saw on-site, I would strongly recommend searching elsewhere for storage needs. By the way - beware, there is also a 'one time administration fee', which is mysterious, never explained, and, of course, non-refundable.

When I explained I was not ready to make andecision, she ended the conversation with, "take your time and call around and hopefully we will be the last place you call." I called several other companies in the area and none of them took the time to actually talk to me like the representative at Compass, the only thing they kept doing was sending me emails and calling me to try to strong arm me into using them. I ended up going in to Compass and signing a contract as well as renting a U-Haul truck. They worked with me and made suggestions on size of unit as well as size of truck. I am so grateful for their suggestions because they were spot on. I got the right size unit as well as perfect size of truck. Thank you so much for being professional and using your knowledge to help your customers. I will definitely recommend you to my friends and family.
