Last time it was after 6 months they upped it, which I was bummed about but I get rates can go up. But one month? That seems messed up. You get people to move in and then charge them more knowing it's a lot of work to move. Also to mentioned they said "free" rental truck. It's trash and we had to pay a bunch of hidden fees. Unethical, poor communication, money hungry swindlers with fake reviews…read more I filled out online for a unit and decided I wanted to see it before signing a lease. I was never assigned a unit number and was informed that one would not be assigned until I signed a lease. Ended up having to leave town for a family emergency, they told me that I LEGALLY had the unit because a form was filled out and had to fill out a from to vacate the unit and they legally had the right to charge me. The people working *hite *rash. Lots of other places that are not privately owned unethical monsters.

I just received an email that my rental rate will increase 49% or $1800 extra annually starting Jan 1st 2026. I am still in shock because the local people are very nice, however the home office will not respond to my emails or call back requests to even discuss being gouged by them. I will be leaving at the end of the year, I was able to find a new location with the same offerings at a cheaper price than I am currently paying and they could not have been more gracious and welcoming. I feel like I have been totally baited and switched for being a loyal customer. Not sure if they sold out to people who do not value the business. A normal rental increase is customary and expected and we always accepted it because it was usually a fair and reasonable increase, this crosses the line of fairness by 3x. I normally try not to bash anyone but the lack of response speaks volumes.

Our experience at this uHaul location has been outstanding and that's all due to one employee ,…read moreLashata. My initial visit was to look into renting an 8x5 trailer. Being new to this, she walked me through the process. We later decided to use the uHaul containter instead. Lashata made it comfortable for us to load inside the warehouse as it was 18 degrees outside. She followed up with the shipping department and made sure to let me know when the container finally left the facility. I couldn't have asked for better customer service.
