I had to move out of my apartment by December 11th, 2025. On Thursday November 14th, 2024 a Military Veteran Organization called WESTCOP SSVF contracted A W Express, to move my personal possessions to a Storage Room I rented from a Storage Facility. I only needed approximately 90 percent moved, because I need some personal possessions that I need until I need to vacate on Wednesday December 11th, 2024. They conducted the move on ThursdayNovember16th, 2024. There were three employees, and a foreman his name is Joseph. One of the items that was going to stay in the Apartment was a Bulletin Board. The Bulletin Board contain some flyers, and two memorabilia items. They were two Miniature soccer Jersey Car Decorations with suction cups. One Representating the Uruguayan National Soccer Team, the other was a professional soccer club from Uruguay from South America called C.A. Penarol. They were pinned to the Bulletin Board. When they finished the move, It appeared they did an adequate job. On Tuesday December 10th, 2024 I was doing the final move. Then I took the Bulletin Board, and noticed the Miniature soccer Jersey Car Decorations representating C.A. Penarol was missing. I went to the Storage Room and looked for it, but I could not find it. I called Joseph and asked him about the missing memorabilia item. He claimed he did not know about the memorabilia item. I asked him to ask the employees. He told me he would ask them. I called again to find out what they said. He said they did not know. I speculate that he did not ask them. He informed me the company policy was if any item was found. He or the employees would give it to me or leave it on the floor. He said may it flew away. I said the apartment does not have one path, and the item is too heavy for it to fly away. When I called again to inquire about the issue. He told me he was annoyed, that I was calling excessively about the issue. I have looked in my Storage Room at approximately 90 percent of my personal possessions boxes etc and I cannot find it. Finally in conclusion I was very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail, unprofessionalism, and apathetic attitude about my concerns about my missing memorabilia item. My concerns as a customer. I lost a memorabilia item because of the incompetence of this company and its employees. There is a possibility I can find the item. I will know if I still have the memorabilia item, when I move to a house or apartment, look again at the Storage Room and happen to find. Until then I will consider lost. If I happen to find it. Then I will edit my Google Review, text a retraction, and change the Star Rating System from a 1 Star to 4 or 5 Stars. Until then my review and Star Rating stays the same. I' am very disappointed. (Not that this happened to me -- OK, obviously, it did.) Some years back I had to put an apartment full of stuff (including several hundred books) into storage, pronto, and a friend who kept some of her belongings there suggested Vernon, for which I am extremely grateful. The storage units are large and secure, and I was able to fit everything into one unit. It was just about the only thing that worked well at a crummy time. I've kept the unit for the past four years, with no problems at all. The rates are great and the people who work there are really nice and friendly. It's month-to-month, so at some point when I need all that stuff again, I can go and get it, without breaking a contract and paying a fee. That's handy, too.

I was under the impression I would have 24 hour access to my storage unit. I was not informed that I might need to bring my own salt, snowshoes, cleats and other equipment to make my way across a sheet of ice (IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY) to access said storage space. The problem with that is he never called, he just threw a lock on the storage unit with my stuff in it! when I went to see him about this mix up, to my dismay I found he had put the locked it on purpose. When I asked him why he never called before locking the unit to give me a chance to remove my stuff since he apparently changed his mind on letting me use the storage unit. First he said "you never come around, so I didn't know who was using the unit" [a lie] I said, I had been in the same unit for 4 years, his wife [Rose] set me up in that unit, and keeping track of who was using what unit was not my responsibility, but now that he did know who's stuff was in the unit, the lock should come off. He acted as if I was the one that had done something wrong, saying I had had the storage unit long enough and "if you want your stuff back, how much are you willing to pay for it?" Basically what he was doing here was not just going back on his agreement, but he wanted to go back on it retroactively, now demanding rent for past months/years, he apparently felt he shouldn't have let me use the unit for, using my stuff and past trust as leverage now to force me to pay for years of rent I didn't owe. While I didn't think I would have the unit indefinably, I though Lee would at least give me notice. But instead, he used my stuff to try to make moneys not owed to him, and he knew it. I'm an easy going guy, if he decided to end the free storage, fine, but don't steal my stuff. Since this was all setup by word and a hand shake, I knew I didn't have much to stand on, that and since there wasn't that much left in the unit, [I was trying to empty it and give it back to him] I decided not to start legal action, but be fore warned Lee is not an honorable man, as a company, they treat their help like rented mules, their customers like dirt, the service is poor, and given half a chance, they will rip you off. I think years ago when I first met Lee he was a good guy, but the money and years have changed him, now that's all he's about, money. If he can't make a buck on you, he doesn't want to know you.
