A solid Valley Dairy…read more.. Stopped in for dinner and dessert on a cold and bitter night in Western PA. The place was easy enough to find, parking was a-plenty, and it was warm and comfortable inside. After being promptly sat down, we were waited on by a cheerful waitress who took care of all our requests - no complaints there. Food came out hot, quick, and just as expected. For desserts we ordered different things from a sundae, to their carnival fries sundae, to their banana split - all good as well. Definitely a nice place to stop in and eat, with a very friendly and accommodating staff...

If I'm being honest, things have changed at this location and not for the better. My husband and I…read morestopped there monday 08/31/26, my French toast was horrible. It was like they made toast, brushed it with eggs and called it French toast. I took 2 bites and the rest got wasted. Both my husband and my overeasy dippy eggs were raw on the inside (slimy egg whites). We then decided to go back with my father in law yesterday (09/03/26, the server wasn't very nice to my father in law while ordering if I'm being honest. My husband and I got pancakes and they were so burnt, my husband's pancakes were black on the bottom. We both ate half of one pancake and had to leave the rest. No we didn't complain because our server seemed like The type of person who would question or argue over it. The only nice thing was we got our food rather quick, but again the quality was not good at all. This little restaurant used to be such a nice little place to take family, now it's not worth going. Next time we will skip going there all together and go to perkins or eat' In Park instead. Such a shame

TL;DR - Solid deli, decent food, and a collegiate atmosphere to tie everything together. Honestly, the place is a 3.5 locale, but the food was really good and the portions were massive. The deli is more than it appears from the outside - part deli, part candy store, part convenience store, and all very welcoming I enjoyed looking around the store as I waited on my food. What m wife and I ordered were the 12" Chicken Philly (me), and the #7 off their board consisting of ham and some other meats I can't recall at the moment, a 12" as well. These appeared as massive, bulging subs filled with everything we asked for. No complaints there. Service was a bit wonky - my sub came out almost immediately, but my wife's order took a strangely long time to make. Not sure as it was one of their run-of-the-mill sandwiches, but it did come out and they were apologetic about the wait. For dessert they have offerings out of a cooler - my wife had a raspberry pie of sorts while I had a Boston Cream Cake. They were fresh and good. In the end, we were both pleased as we had a hankering for subs and we wanted to go local and not big box - the place did not disappoint.

She stated that her egg salad had a sweet taste as well and the portion size of egg salad was minimal.
