Then I found Dr. Margie Amos. I left my appointment feeling like I could cry again, but this time they were tears of happiness. I finally had answers and was met with a doctor who was patient, attentive, and never rushed me. She wasn't bothered by my anxiety or my long list of questions. She was thorough, educational, and incredibly kind. I am so grateful I found her and that she took the time to truly get to the bottom of what was going on. She ordered tests that no one else had considered and looked at everything from multiple perspectives. She provided several options for next steps, clearly explained each one, and helped create a game plan we both feel confident about. I truly cannot say enough good things about this doctor.

Dr. Amos takes the time to get to know you on a personal level and answers any and all questions. It is so much more than an annual exam - it's the true definition of a wellness visit! Mindy goes above and beyond, answering any insurance or office questions you may have. I will not go anywhere else!

We wanted a doula to help us understand the process of labor and birth, know our options and decide what our ideal birth journey would look like, and support my husband in being involved in the labor process. Molly checked every box for us. We interviewed a few doulas and felt a strong connection to Molly as she's very easy to talk to and has a calm energy that was exactly what we needed. Her package feels fairly priced and her services are excellent. The prenatal massage she gave me in my home was one of the best massages of my life, period (it also felt incredible to be able to lay on my stomach with the help of a belly pillow she has).  She patiently answered every question we had and gave us helpful ways to think about how to make the best decisions for ourselves. I felt she easily got to know us and our preferences and could guide us toward things that felt right, without being pushy. Working with Molly is a no-judgment zone. No matter what you hope your birth experience will look like, she'll be supportive and do her best to help you achieve that. She helped us both build a positive mindset around the birth and labor experience -- something I especially needed as I tend to get tense and anxious in situations of uncertainty.  On the topic of uncertainty, we originally planned to have Molly join us in person once I went into labor, but the Covid pandemic happened during my pregnancy. We ended up having Molly join us via FaceTime and Zoom video calls, and I was very impressed with how helpful and effective the virtual setup was. Molly's calm coaching through contractions helped me stay focused, and her ability to tune into my labor progress and see signs I wasn't able to see helped us avoid having a baby in the car on the way to the hospital (my labor progressed much, much faster than I ever expected).  I would recommend Molly's doula services to anyone. It's incredibly helpful to have her as your coach and cheerleader through the wild ride that is making a new little human.

I originally met Molly through her prenatal yoga classes, which were the prefect balance of prenatal-focused poses with a bit of a challenge to keep you feeling active, even in the third trimester. My husband and I also did a partner prep session with Molly that was extremely comprehensive. Drew and I walked away from the session feeling like we were as prepared as we were ever going to be thanks to Molly's great information! We love you Molly!

I thought I'd already written my review for this place but I guess that's what happens when you're…read morein the thick of raising a newborn! I initally was drawn to the idea of a home birth but with it being my first child I wasn't quite ready for that type of delivery. That led me to birth centers & I was instantly drawn to this one because it is the only licensed & accredited birth center in Colorado. I also liked that it was owned by a hospital but very seperate from that entity. I was weary that this might be some kind of scam to lure in the birth center mama's into giving birth within the hospital system but they truly allow you the freedom you'd expect from a birth center. As a first time mom, the classes they have you take are invaluable. I honestly can't believe the lack of knowledge the majority of parents have who have hospital births because classes like these aren't a requirement. They made us feel confident about the road ahead but also provided a crash course for my husband who in no way was going to read as many parenting books as I was but also knew next to nothing about childbirth. They offer group centering classes for your appointments but as an introvert we declined and stuck to traditional 1-1 midwife appointments. Pregnancy is draining enough as it is without the further drain of me having to "people" with strangers for hours every couple of weeks, not to mention the birth center was 40 minutes to an hour from our house. However, people seem to enjoy the Centering path; I'm glad they offer both types of care regardless. Finally the big day came and though no one believes me but my husband since he was actually there, the entire laboring experience was, kid you not, spa-like. Natalie & Kelly were my team for my delivery day and I could not have felt more supported, safe, and taken care of. Frankly every staff member fits this bill; my husband & I genuinely loved everyone there. Unfortunately I had to have an emergency transfer to the hospital due to meconium found when my water broke late into laboring. From the center's classes I was well educated on what would necessitate a transfer & the reasons why, so though it was unexpected I felt prepared for the turn of events & for what would happen. Even if I didn't get to give birth there, I labored from 9 AM until my transfer around 5 or 6 PM. I got to take full advantage of every tool and corner of their lovely, private rooms. Natalie even came and visited me in the hospital after I gave birth to make sure I was okay. She looked into how my birth progressed after the transfer & knew it had been my least desired outcome. I was so happy to see her not just because she'd gone out of her way to check on me but I desperately wanted her to know how much I'd enjoyed my time with them which is hard to communicate when your 9 centimeters dialated and out the door to the hospital's labor & delivery unit. 10 out of 10 fantastic process from top to bottom. Definitely consider this place even if it's a bit of a drive.

A day after my records were transferred, a nurse called to inform me I actually didn't meet their program requirements due to facts they had prior to me transferring care. I'm now stuck in limbo as I've called my previous birth center to try to get back in but they are now reassessing because I decided to leave and have my records transferred. I'm 32 weeks pregnant and now do not have a care provider because of the negligence and unprofessional way this birth center has chosen to conduct their intake process. I understand policies must be followed, however, they had ample opportunity to make those policies clear and inform me rather than encourage me to transfer my care and then let me know I was ineligible. Again they had all the information needed to tell me I didn't meet their criteria prior to me transitioning care but chose not to let me know that until it was too late. Be very careful before you decide to entrust them with you and your baby's health - to say I'm disappointed is an incredible understatement.

She helped remind me of our birth plan every step of the way, and the continuity of her presence was a great service to me while I was in pre-labor and labor in an otherwise unfamiliar place with unfamiliar faces. She is extremely well informed and knows all of the best pre- and post-natal local resources, and her connections and knowledge helped me tremendously. I was getting very impatient in the days past my due date, but her assurances that it was normal for a first time mom to go into labor a week and two days after her due date made me feel better and less inclined to schedule an induction. As it is, my baby came exactly a week and two days after they said she would! Barb visited us a couple times at home and was extremely informative and helpful. She responded with prompt grace to all of my texts and calls. We had been planning to labor at home, but my water broke in the middle of the night with meconium, so I ended up doing all of my labor at the hospital. She came there after I was admitted and sat with me for a few hours to give my husband a chance to go back home and get some rest. The next day when I was in active labor, she came and stayed with us for 12 hours, helping us move into the recovery room and taking pictures for us, etc. Her presence was an implicit reminder of everything we had prepared and she was a grounding force when things didn't go exactly as planned (they never do)! : ) I was in active labor for only 4 hours, including 1 hour of pushing. My baby came out very easily and with no complications, and I'm fairly certain that without Barb's help (and the patience of my midwives), I would have otherwise been induced and ended up with an emergency cesarian. At the post-partum visit, Barb showed us how to give the baby her first bath, and helped us use the moby wrap for the first time. She is a very down to earth person, providing a balance of heartfelt support, stern advocacy, awesome bodywork, and a wonderful sense of humor at just the right time. She is prompt and responsive and a very clear communicator, which was essential during this sensitive and uncertain period in a new family's life. I will absolutely use her for my next birth, and I highly recommend her to anyone!!

When the time came she was at the hospital exactly when we needed her. The labor was difficult and our baby was not set up great for delivery; Barb helped with positions and techniques that kept things from going bad. We had great midwives, but it was Barb's dedicated attention and experience that really made the difference in the end. It seems you lose all sense of control during labor and delivery, but having Barb there gave us the reassurance and guidance we needed to stay positive and on plan; almost like a guardian angel. Forget the fact that Barb has no reviews yet here on Yelp; it felt like she's been helping deliver babies her whole life. Always near her phone, Barb was there when we needed her. We look forward to working with her again ourselves and will be recommending her to friends and family. Thank you, Barb!
