I scheduled a laser appointment with PA Jordan Becker after reading positive reviews and learning…read morethey had the best laser in town. I was a little put back by paying a consult fee that doesn't apply to the treatment, but got over it. On that consult, she seemed great and I felt aligned with the plan. All I had was a few red spider veins around my nose and cheeks from some prior sculptra injections and two raised skin tags to be lasered. On the day of the procedure, 1st appt 8am on Monday am, it seemed like she forgot the entire plan, went way too aggressive with the laser on areas we did not discuss and completely missed the two bumps I needed so badly to be removed. On my follow up she apologized and re-lasered what I asked for, but upon closer look, seemed to miss one of the two bumps yep again, lasering below one of the bumps. I am now left 2 months later with an area on my cheek that still hasn't healed that I still have to wear concealer over. I don't know if it will ever go away, but I will never be doing this again, nor going to Jordan for any laser work in the future. She is fine at managing my prescriptions but I feel her laser care needs some more education to be safely using on patients. Thank you for allowing me to voice my opinion and concerns.

Ayin is phenomenal and somehow remembers your name after just one visit, which speaks volumes considering how many patients she sees. But the real standout is Dr. Jelena. She is exceptionally thorough, warm, and compassionate, and her expertise truly sets her apart. As a person of color, it's rare to find a provider who genuinely understands melanin-rich skin but Dr. Jelena absolutely understood the assignment. She took the time to listen to my concerns, thoughtfully explained my treatment options, and the care she recommended actually worked. You can tell she studies skin types deeply and treats each patient with intention and respect. Shout-out to her incredible team. Amy is a wonderful assistant, always kind and supportive. And Cody at the front desk is amazing; every time I call, he answers promptly and does his best to find appointment times that fit my schedule. The entire staff makes you feel seen, heard, and cared for. If you're looking for expert dermatology with genuine compassion especially for skin of color I highly recommend About Skin Dermatology and Dr. Jelena. Truly top-tier care.

Asarch Dermatology is the only place I would trust with my face. I go regularly for skin checks…read moreand have had basal cells removed. The difference is that when they are removed, the doctor takes into consideration the aesthetics of your skin and will recommend a procedure and after care that minimizes scarring. In addition, I recently had Ultherapy done (approx 3 weeks ago). It is also called the non-surgical facelift. I have seen this promoted at other facilities in Denver and I can only warn you against going to a "spa" or anywhere just promoting price. At the Asarch center, precautions were taken such as measuring exactly where the laser would go as well as explaining in detail what they were doing. (There are places on the neck where the laser is avoided) There is literally no downtime and I have been experiencing a feeling of tightening on my face and neck. As this procedure boosts your collagen from deep inside, the effects aren't immediate but show more visibly as time goes on. (I will post before and after photos in a few months). One place that I saw immediate results were in my brow area. They were lifted and my eyes feel brighter. Lastly, I use all of Dr Asarch's facial products and truly believe that with sun avoidance, skin checks and maintenance on my skin, my face and skin tone feel and look much younger than my chronological age of 55.

Several family members have skin cancer on both sides of our family. The appointment was made. We parked, and found the office. After checking in,we had a seat. We didn't have to wait long. We were taken back to the exam room. We were told to change into a hospital gow, leaving only our underwear on. It was all very respectful. We decided to have the exam together. After over 15 years of marriage, nothing is a secret. It's up to you. The nurse practioner came in. She asked a few questions, and proceeded with the exam. She used a special instrument to exam our skin, from head(scalp,), down to toes. The front mid torso area was covered and left alone. The exam was simple. Easy peasy. Thankfully nothing was found. We discussed sun screens for the body, as well as for the face, how often to apply, etc. Before I knew it,the exam was over, nothing to worry about. It was recommended that we return in 1-2 years. They have great doctors. The office is clean and relaxing. It's not too bad to get to, but expect to walk after parking your car. There are tons of medical offices, etc, on the Anschutz Medical Center campus. I highly recommend this office, as well as a skin cancer screening, if you can do it. Take care, and don't forget the sun screen.
