So it's a great location for the post office, right near the Restauradores metro stop. Then as soon as you walk in, the ticket machine is to the left and that's where to get a number to get called up to the booth. Unfortunately there is an extremely limited amount of seating and the wait was fairly long as it was Saturday during the Easter weekend. Customer service is so poor I can only assume this is deliberate corporate strategy. Website is also miserably poor. Phonecalls disconnect. cannot redirect packages, will not acknowledge communication. They should be ashamed, but being ashamed seems unlikely as they would have to care about their customers........ Pity I cannot give zero stars? We have to use Correos Express from Spain to routinely have such miserably poor service.

Worst in the world, if I look at the tracking on my parcel it always goes really quickly until it arrives in Portugal where CTT seem to hold it forever. They used to have more branches but they closed them down in order to make people wait longer. If you look on google waiting times most people are waiting for 25 minutes or more here (I have even had to wait over an hour in the past). It's like a Soviet queue to recieve post. I thought that the royal mail was bad, but these people make that positively shine.

Simply, DO NOT USE CHRONOPOST…read more I sent a very important package "overnight" from Paris to Lisbon to a friend staying in Lisbon for about 3-4 more days. The French Chronopost people confirm that the package got on a flight out to Portugal on the day I sent it, but since then, it hasn't scanned in anywhere in Portugal. My friend, incidentally, is departing Portugal today. NONE of the phone lines in Portugal are in service... not any of the local stations in either Lisbon or Porto, and the main customer service line doesn't work. The French agents have sent messages to Portugal twice now with no response, so we're pretty much stuck. I don't know what kind of operation they're running out there, but this is absolutely awful. I'll repeat myself one last time, unless your item is garbage, and your intention is to completely dispose of it into utter obliteration, DO NOT USE CHRONOPOST. You will never see your parcel again!
