The centre offers pretty much any class or program that you can think of. Best of all the facility is entirely family friendly: the pool complex has a waterpark for the kids and programs run for all ages. In the summer, there is plenty of outdoor field space as well. It certainly is a boon for the whole city to have a facility like this.

An absolute gem of a "dive" bar…read more I dropped by The Vat yesterday after being away from the city for 5 years - it hasn't changed a lick, and that's a good thing. One of the funkiest live music venues/dive bars I've ever been to, The Vat is funky, eclectic and altogether charming and welcoming. No wonder it's a hit with diverse people ranging from college students to old regulars. I wish I could pick it up and take it with me, up north to Edmonton. The server was friendly, the beer (house draught) was ultra-cheap and cold, and even though there were only a couple of rub-a-dubs around on a Sunday afternoon at 2, it was a blast. Definitely drop by if you've never been. A great way to break up the long drive from Edmonton to Calgary, or vice versa.

It's rare to have a family farm that has so many things for kids to do. Everything from the air…read moremats to jump on, duck races, ball games, obstacle courses, a variety of corn mazes, animals to feed and a train to take you through the area just to mention a few. There is food you can buy but you can also bring your own food and drink in. They have snacks like ice cream, popcorn and cotton candy. There areas that are shaded and opportunities to cool off. We've been here for 5 hours easily and will probably spend another hour doing the things we haven't done yet.
