My husband came here earlier this week and could not stop talking about how nice everyone was. I was so pleased to hear this so when we realized we needed another lambs ear plant I decided to go with him to pick it up. Upon entering you are greeted by everyone. Definitely nice workers (in orange attire). However it stops there once you get to the register. I needed another lambs ear plant to match the one my husband got two days prior. Unfortunately all of these plants were not in the best condition. I needed to get one to match the one we got a couple days before but because it wasn't 100% healthy I assumed they would not charge me full price as there were no other plants in better condition. When I inquired at the register the woman was super nice and tried to see if they had any more. Unfortunately they did not and only had what was out. Meanwhile as she is on the phone talking to the staff, an older gentleman immediately turned away from me and said "I don't have time for this" and huffed at me. He basically made the woman at the register take care of me when he clearly was a supervisor or something and could've acknowledged my concern. After a worker came up to me to assess the plant he seemed a little uneasy when the older gentleman all angry was nearby and said my plant was fine. I'll attach pictures but I really don't think I should've spent full price on something that wasn't this unhealthy two days ago. I'm hoping it will revive like the man said but considering I am a returning customer I found the whole situation off putting. I mean even if they couldn't give me a discounted rate for the unhealthy plant at least tell me when you'd get more in that would be in a better condition. There was literally no conversation. Probably will not be coming here again unless I really need something unique.

I hired Allagash Tree after the recent tree damage on my property caused by tropical Storm Isiaias . I typically will research everything to the hilt before entering an agreement including yelp reviews. The owner of Allagash Tree stopped at my neighbors when he noticed the damage from a large tree of ours that fell across their driveway and took down their above ground power lines. It was the morning after the storm rolled through. He walked into our yard as we were leaving to visit my daughter as neighbors were not home and I spoke with him about the extensive damage in our yard as well as the tree in our neighbors which we had agreed to remove. I'd already contacted 2 other tree companies the night before , one we used numerous times and had no return response and wanted the fallen and damaged trees addressed ASAP. Allagash was working down the road and said he'd be there THAT SAME AFTERNOON. I hired Ernest and Allagash on the spot. We returned from my daughters mid afternoon to find 3-4 large tree trucks and chipper in my driveway and the neighbors. I'd give 5 stars based solely on that fact . I had several large limbs, a large widow maker, one huge uprooted tree leaning over neighbors wires, one tree on their wires ( they need to reroute or bury the wires!!) , and finally One large oak in backyard that my husband did cut up as well as pile the limbs as brush from. The yard was a mess. I wanted it cleared and all brush and wood removed . The trees were massive and the limbs as large as most trees. At 830 pm the guys were still working but finishing up. Ernest is a tree guy / 3rd generation logger not a landscaper. The damage caused by the fallen trees was extensive. Overall the Allagash guys raked up debris and leaves and were fairly neat. The heavy equipment needed to get in place so yes there was a small amount of lawn damage. I'm beyond thrilled it's done, it was addressed quickly and completed. I had nothing in writing (so not like me but it was a disaster amid a pandemic) and everything verbal was honored. One tree was more involved than originally thought and Ernest honored his original estimate . The power returned as they were taking it down and since it overhung neighbors wires, it was dicier than expected. The only reason for the 4 stars is a very large pile of debris chips left in the front area of a small wooded island. He must have run out of room in his truck. I requested they be removed but agreed to having them spread in this area in a few days once his work load died down. I really wanted them gone but I'll update once they are addressed . Ernest was honest and straightforward AND communicative ( neither of us had cell service, my text ability was down but we had email and he responded each time I contacted him . I think the negative reviews you see may be gripes that I'll bet would be addressed if asked rather than just writing a poor review ( and only reviews for two yelpers)

1-Star Review - Warning: Do Not Hire Anselmo's Sealcoating…read more I strongly urge anyone considering Anselmo's Sealcoating to look elsewhere. My experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing. I hired them to sealcoat my driveway, and within less than a month, the asphalt started to deteriorate. It was clear that incredibly cheap and low-quality materials were used. The surface began to crack and flake almost immediately -- something that should never happen with a proper sealcoating job. I contacted Anselmo (the owner) multiple times -- at least 15 -- and every time he had a different excuse for not showing up to fix the issue. He promised to come back and make things right, but those were just empty words. It's obvious now that he had no intention of following through. This company does not stand behind its work, and in my experience, Anselmo is dishonest and unreliable. Don't fall for promises or a friendly attitude up front -- once he has your money, you're on your own. Please learn from my mistake. Protect your property and your wallet -- do not hire Anselmo's Sealcoating.
