I'm sorry that this was my second choice. It should have been my first choice I called another company that said, "I don't work on Fiats." I said, "but it's not really Fiat related, I just need something removed and I don't have any tools." The guy just repeated, "I don't work on Fiats." So I called CT Automotive. The nice man said, "come on down and I'll see if I can fit you in." Not only did he fit me in, he took my car in immediately, and fixed my problem. He did it with a smile and didn't fuss about the kind of car I have. I am not from St. George, but I come up often from Las Vegas. There were cars everywhere which show me how awesome this business is. I recommend going to CT Automotive and can say that I'll be happy to bring my car back if anything needs fixing. Took my 1997 GMC Suburban in because the oil pump / gage was reading low pressure but other than that it was running awesome, two weeks later after he said the pump is working but the gage is broken, " it's a gm, it has oil, it's fine just drive it" he fixed some other minor stuff ( not what I asked him to do ) he said it was safe to drive. I took it home and a week later I went to wards my friends place and as I got on the freeway the motor seized, took it back to get it fixed and even offered to help pay for his misdiagnosis so i could get the engine repaired. a month later and it's in even worse shape after he checked it out. Not once has he even dropped the oil pan. Not a mechanic, more like a lube shop hack. I wouldn't trust him to change the fluids in a car let alone trouble shoot real issues read more

Tried to have my head gasket repaired at CT. after having it checked this was supposedly the problem. Month after month I got excuses like: ordered the wrong part, guy quit we don't know what's been done, people are sick, etc. More months go by never hear from them , don't return my calls, I call " he's not hear idk". 5 months later i called them. They said your cars done. Why didn't you call me? " we tried and tried." I have 2 phones, answering machines, one cell one landline. Not one missed call, no message, nothing. Anyways got my car and it broke down on the way home. Same problem 5 months later. Pissed, called them and said they would at least refund all my money. Never heard From them again. More avoidance. Never refunded a cent. Was going to sue but was so tired of dealing with this I said screw it and ate it. Never again will I go through that. Got it fixed somewhere else and it wasn't even a head gasket! I pray nobody ever has to deal with that. Over 5 months with nothing done, insane! Go somewhere else, anywhere else. read more

I don't normally leave reviews but after the treatment we received we will NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!! Others should be warned as well! We've gone to CT Automotive for years. Since the change in ownership (Craig's passing) things, to our disappointment, have drastically gone down hill. Over a month ago we took my car to them. It needed a new engine. After taking weeks to replace the engine, I finally got my car back. I could instantly tell that my car did not run better. It blew more smoke than before, the smoke smelled worse, the car would cut out and shut off, stutter, and over all not run all. To top that off my headliner was COVERED in grease from the mechanics hands!!! After a few days I took my car back and expressed my concerns and displeasure. I told him I felt the replacement engine, it was used, was bad. The second I pointed out these problems I was treated poorly. The gentleman became defensive and extremely rude to me (not sure if me being a girl had anything to do with it). He stated it worked fine when he finished (it didn't). When I pointed out the damage to the headliner he got very sarcastic and said, "how would that get there? Was there grease on my head!" Clearly, they did not want to take responsibility! He hooked my car up to the computer and told me the engine was running extremely hot. He told me not one car on his lot should run that hot. I agreed and replied this proved my point that the "new" engine was bad as my car did NOT have this issue before. I just wanted them to make it right!!! He stomped around and ignored me until my husband showed up to get me to take me home. When my husband got there he was nice to him said he would look at it and off we went hoping they would fix it and restore my car to working order, as hired to do so. Several weeks later, still out of my car which had been a huge inconvenience, I had my husband call to check on the status as we've heard nothing from them. He was told that the replacement engine was bad (no surprise there). That they were trying to get a replacement for the replacement. However, they told my husband that they WILL NOT DO THE WORK! They said we treated them poorly and will NOT touch my car again!!! Let's not remind you how we've been treated all this time! This is absolutely unprofessional and wrong! I still do not have a working car! The headliner is still damaged. We are out several thousands of dollars (that we don't have). And they refuse to make it right!!!! If this is a reflection of their work I would think more than twice about considering them as a mechanic!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO CT AUTOMOTIVE! I've been warned! read more

I'm visiting for the week from Salt Lake City. Didn't have time to have the brakes done before the trip. My cousin recommended Craig at CT Automotive. Glad I did. We've decided to go on an visit my sister in Phoenix. And that's possible because Craig got us in and out today. I knew my front rotors were warped. A little rust caused 2 bolts to break. They drilled them out and replaced them. 2 new rotors, 4 sets of ceramic pads and I'm good to go, same day I called in. Where does that happen on a Monday? Price was fair too. read more

I am heartbroken that Craig is gone, I would never expect to of had such a bad experience at CT. We could trust Craig which is really hard to find with mechanics. Now that he is gone CT is dishonest with their pricing and timing. The job took 2 weeks longer than we were told and hundreds of dollars more, when asked about a bogus charge they gave a bogus explanation. we were completely ripped off and we are hurting so bad right now. a job that would have cost my husband 500$ to do cost us 2300. They tried saying the parts cost 1600. I am so unhappy with them. It really breaks my heart that Craigs honesty built such a large customer following and that they are now so dishonest. Miss you Craig and your honesty. I'm sorry you have to watch this from above. There is nothing I can do now except be sick knowing how hard it is to find honest people. CT Automotive is now our mechanic shop!!! I would not take a vehicle anywhere else after our experience!!! We have a 2005 Nissan Sentra that was running rough then the "check engine" light came on. We took it to our regular mechanic shop (I will not mention a name, but it's on the boulevard) they said that one of the spark plugs was stuck and the "Only was to get it out was to remove the head!! Which they couldn't do. A friend recommended CT Automotive to us so we gave it a shot!! And are we glad we did!!! They explained that there could be damage to the block and gave us forwarding. But assured me to keep a positive attitude and they will do their best to get it out... They went to work on it, it did take some time but they worked a miracle getting it out without damaging the block!!! Now it purrs like a kitten!!! We are extremely happy with their work!!! I dropped my 2018 Tundra off 9 days ago for a 2day (15hrs) job. On Wednesday I called (nobody from the shop called me) and was told they broke a part and were waiting on it's arrival. The next day (I called again) they indicated they had received the wrong part and were awaiting one from 120 miles away. I called the Toyota dealer - who sent me to CT - and they indicated the pets came from them. The next day (day 5) I called and was given more runaround. On Friday, they called me (first time) and said they got the part late and it would be Monday. On Monday, they told me they had the front end put back together and just had to do the rear end. Tuesday morning I called and was told they were putting the front end back together and that it would be done at 2:00pm. At 4:30 (30 min prior to them closing) I called and told them I was on the way to pick it up. Now I sit here just before 6:00 pm and it's still up on the lift...with the front end in pieces. I was just told they tore a CV boot that'll have to be replaced. The wonton, abject incompetence displayed by these clowns cannot be overstated. So far...NINE days I to a two day job, I've only spoken with a office guy who isn't even a mechanic. Stay away! Far, far away from these boys unless you just don't give a crap about your vehicle or when you actually get it back. read more
