Can you take passport pictures at this location or will one have to be brought in?

We have photography services available!

So how many days did everyone actually get the passport book I heard it take 2-3 weeks or do they usually come in sooner? Or is there a way i can get it sooner than 2/3 weeks??? PLS ANSWER ID REALLY APPRECIATE IT?

When I got mine it was about 3 weeks but I do not recall if it was exactly three weeks. You need to contact the office directly.

Do I need an appointment? To renew my passport?

It all depends on the person working there ! If they aren't busy, they usually take you in as "walk-in". Although there is a time where "walk-ins" are welcome but once again it all depends on the worker.

What do I need to do to get my passport for the first time? What things will I need to have ready?

- You will need to bring in a filled out Application Form DS-11. (You can type in on it and print) - Proof of US citizenship using US birth certificate or Naturalization…

I had been a DACA recipient for years and was a loyal customer to this downtown lawyer. I even interned for the man thinking that I could learn a thing or two to help my people. Also, I thought that he would have my best interest at heart and help me achieve my dream of becoming a US Citizen. He even promised me that he would do everything in his power to help make that a reality. Those were nothing but broken promises. Because of him and his incompetent staff, my DACA expired in 2021, and I was out of work for a month living off of my savings, even when I implored him and his staff to help me expedite my case. They never replied to my emails and every time I called, they told me that he would call me back, but he never did. I was never able to reach him, but my checks surely cleared immediately. If he did this to someone who was not afraid to make some noise, my heart breaks for all of those people who are too afraid to do the same in fear that they might compromise their American Dream. I knew that I had to make a change, so I looked up immigration attorneys near me and found Cynthia. Thanks to the many good reviews, I made the decision to switch attorney's and it was the best decision that I have ever made. From the beginning, she made me feel valued and important. She doesn't have a fancy office or a whole staff dedicated to brewing her coffee, but what she does have is COMPASSION. She sees you; she helps you, she puts YOU first, and not your money. Going back to the story... I was desperate to get my DACA renewed so I wrote to Maxine Waters, Alex Padilla, and Diane Feinstein and asked them for help. Cynthia encouraged me to do this and even submitted an expedite request on my behalf. During this time, there was a lot of case backlog so many people were in the same sinking boat. I don't know if it was Cynthia's energy, my persistence, or timing, but shortly afterwards, my DACA was finally renewed, and I was able to go to work. Things were finally starting to look up... I came to Cynthia with my approved I-130, a lapsed DACA, and damaged dreams. With Cynthia, my advanced parole and I-485 were approved and I finally obtained my green card in December 2022. I can't wait to come back to her in three years to apply for citizenship in order finally make my dream come true.

I had terrible experiences with multiple attorneys before Cynthia so I did not know what to expect at the first consultation. But for the first time ever, I felt that I could trust her to be on my side through this difficult and exhausting process. She genuinely cared for my situation and the outcome. I am now a proud permanent resident of the US and I could not have done it without her. I would recommend her to anyone who is looking for an amazing immigration attorney. Cynthia, thank you for your help and expertise! You are amazing and wonderful and I just cannot say enough great things about you!!!!!

Review #994 2026-064…read more Staff: Chris & Trina South Bay Chinese School utilizes #1 All Safe & Secure Live Scan Fingerprint for their staff & volunteers. It's located on the west side of Village Plaza, along Vista Montana, between Chantal Skin Care & Mega Acupuncture & Herb. The purpose of mandatory live scan fingerprinting is to ensure the safety of students by conducting thorough, state-verified criminal background checks, fulfilling CA legal requirements for people working with minors to prevent child abuse & foster trust with parents & the community. SBCS asked me to come in on a Friday afternoon for the live scan after the school year ended; not sure if they made an appointment prior but I was able to walk-in. The office is small with a couple of chairs in the waiting area, & no one was there except for me; even so, it took a few minutes for them to call me in to get my fingerprints after I completed the paperwork & showed my CA driver's license. I went to the restroom to wash my hands, then I was given Corn Huskers Heavy Duty Oil-Free Hand Treatment Lotion on my fingers, & placed each finger on the scanner that captures high-resolution images of my prints. I had to re-do my thumbs a few times, & my index finger a couple of times, adding more corn huskers lotion. Chris had to squish my thumbs, rolled it a few times because they didn't read well. It felt awkward due to my hand positioning & I wanted to adjust my position to be more comfortable, but couldn't/didn't since it may shift during scanning. I explained to him that my hands are usually dry & cracked from overwashing; I later learn that this may strip the natural oils & cause rejected prints. The lotion is used in live scan to moisturize dry skin & enhance the print quality, making faint/worn fingerprints more legible. The whole process took less than 15 minutes, & I was done & out. Once fingerprints are captured, they're transmitted electronically to the CA Department of Justices (DOJ), & the agency (my son's Chinese school) will receive the results directly in a few days. I don't know the cost since SBCS was covering the live scan. The process was quick & easy, though general pleasantries exchanged would be nice & polite. Not sure if appointments are required but advisable in case you're on a time constraint. If you're in need of live scan services, I recommend #1 All Safe & Secure Live Scan Fingerprint.

Wow, I haven't actually typed out a review on a PC in like, at least 12 years…read more Gosh, I even had to pull up my Yelp password. My situation is that my family and I are avid skiers/snowboarders. (Steamboat once/every year and Mammoth at least 3x/ever year) I know the IKON pass has created exponential travel opportunities to the famous 'japow' slopes in Hokkaido for non-natives within the past 3-4 years. We've earnestly prepared ourselves from a feasibility point of view to do this trip this upcoming Winter '25. We've looked into our kid's school to understand what we need to go on a 2 week trip to Japan. The wife has ensured she would start making sure her work would be blocked out during those 2 weeks. I actually have an email from my supervisor confirming I could take the 2 weeks off during that time. We've saved/scrimped this past spring/summer by not taking our 'normal' vacations and we are now at the point to pull the trigger on flights/hotels/tour packages/etc. But we have no experience traveling to Japan and I wanted this trip to be perfect. (Don't just rely on whatever I've read on Reddit.) It just so happened at my church, a fellow churchgoer had an amazing trip just this past summer and he was showing me pics on his phone/telling me tales about how he and his large family had headed over, how everything was perfect and amazing. I asked that million $ question, "how did you book it?" He actually recommended Nippon Travel Agency to me and I was so stoked, because for some reason it hadn't crossed my mind to use a travel agency. (* The pic of this review is proof that this place was referred to me by a churchgoer friend of mine. Some of you naysayers can say, 'oh, anyone can create that on photoshop.'. But the way their corporate signature is laid out, they will know I'm not making this up. Clearly this review is mostly for the ownership.) So the following Tuesday, I called and asked for help to plan the trip. The lady who answered the phone said she would transfer me after I explained my purpose. Unfortunately, the transfer dropped the call. I called back to the same lady, she tried to transfer me, and it happened again. The call dropped. The third time I called back, it was another lady. She sounded annoyed that I called back and she asked me what I was looking for, which was to book a trip to Japan for family and myself. I asked if I could make an appointment at their office so I could come in since it's less than a 15m drive from my work. She sternly advised me that no one comes into their office and everything must be done through email. She told me to send it to support@ntaamerica.com. I sent the request 8 days ago and crickets. The office is quite small and no one is staffing the front area, but there is a phone on the table at the entrance with instructions on how to reach someone. I appreciated that they had sanitizing wipes and sanitizers next to the phone to keep things clean. I dialed the number on the instructions and a woman on the other line immediately picked up, verified my name, and brought my order out. The woman was super friendly and helpful. She gave me each of the vouchers and confirmed that all the names were printed correctly, gave me guidance around exchanging the vouchers and activating them at the station. She also gave me some guides for JR and Japan in general. Overall a very smooth experience!
