I already had TSA PreCheck, but after a long international flight, the last thing I want to do is stand in a long customs line. The application process was surprisingly easy. I completed everything online and received conditional approval in about a day. After that, I was able to schedule an interview at the Global Entry office near LAX. The office itself was conveniently located right off the freeway, with easy parking directly out front. Once I arrived, the process was just as smooth. They asked for my passport and a few basic questions about myself. The interview was very brief, and I was probably in and out in about 15 minutes. At the end, I was told I was approved and that my Global Entry card would arrive in the mail within about a week. The real payoff came when I returned from my international trip. They used facial recognition, and I basically just walked through the gates and breezed right back into the United States. Today were our appointments to establish memberships in Global Entry. Signing up online, we requested an appointment at Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia. Within days, we were scheduled. Officer Flowers conducted our interviews and executed our processing. She was personable, cheerful and very professional. We appreciate her efforts on our behalf. As everyone has stated, this global entry location is very efficient. They email you instructions on where to park (the green colored spaces) which is plentiful in front. You enter through the entrance, follow the global entry signs which points to the left. The room (suite 155) is on the left, you Buzz the door and they'll let you in. I came 30 minutes earlier with my family, we all had appointments for 7:50 PM, and they were able to take us. The receptionist is very nice. They have about 8 counters who will conduct interviews. CBP might have a bad reputation but everyone's just doing their job. Everyone including the agents are nice. Everything was done in less than 10 minutes. Incredibly efficient! I would recommend coming here if able to. Worst thing is the traffic getting out here but if you can time it to avoid traffic, do it! read more

The whole experience was fast and efficient. I completed my Global Entry application online and was able to get an appointment here within the same week. I believe this location releases appointments on a weekly basis so I recommend checking daily. I checked on a Wednesday and saw weekend slots open up. There is free visitor parking in the lot. Spots are marked accordingly so check the signs before parking. Head to room 155 and wait to be called. The whole interview process took less than 5 minutes. I needed to update my information and that required an in-person visit. I made sure to call ahead to confirm that walk-ins were welcomed for name updates only. This location was easy to find, there was free parking and plenty of signs to direct a first time visitor, like myself. Walking in, I was welcomed right away then directed straight to the staff member handling name updates. Went here on a Saturday for an appointment. My appointment is right after their lunch break so there was a line outside. Each appointment time, there were a couple of people for the same time slot but everything was so quick. They will call your appointment time, show your ID, and will ask you to go the officer who will conduct the interview. You will present your ID, do the biometrics, and a couple of questions. You will have a chance to ask questions after the interview. Overall, it was a very seamless experience! Parking was easy and there are designated spots for Global Entry applicants. Seamless and pain-free process. Plenty of parking outside and there's special global entry visitor 20min parking too that they prefer you park in. I didn't need to physically print out my interview confirmation and just told them the name at the check in counter. I think the interview time is generally strict but thankfully there were many times available online so I rescheduled it 15 minutes before arriving since I knew we were going to be 30 minutes early. I won't go into the details of the process before you get here as others have done so so well. However just know that you have to sign up before you can come here and you will need an appointment. When it's time to make an appointment, know that you may have to check very regularly if a time that works for you doesn't become available right away. However they are constantly adding times throughtout the day. So don't get discouraged if you don't see what you want right away. I applied online, and already the very next day, I was able to schedule my interview. My interview was on a Sunday, I arrived about 30 minutes early and still was seen earlier than my appoint time. I thought I would be able to interview at LAX but they have limited hours and REALLY cranky and staff there. They refused to process an interview even though it was open and I didn't have any energy to argue after returning from a flight. So I scheduled here and it was a terrific experience! Global Entry is absolutely worth it if you travel frequently. The application process takes a few weeks, but once you're approved, it makes traveling so easy! It includes TSA Pre-check so it was the better option. Upon arriving, the whole interview takes about 15-20 minutes. You check in, they ask basic questions and then they tell you you would receive confirmation of approval via email. From the start of applying to interview and receiving the card, it took about 2 weeks. Make sure you check interview dates daily, it changes a few times! read more

Went for an 8pm interview and was in and out in less than 10minutes. Just a few questions, fingerprints and I was out. I believe they had 10-12 stations available. Everyone was friendly and efficient at their job. Regarding the UX on their appointment system...needs major renovation. A bit difficult to see when you're able to make an appointment at any location. I had to make an appointment at San Francisco Airport before I cancelled and got one by LAX. Many of us have endured long lines as we have worked our way through Customs. As we travel around the globe, we eventually have to make our way back home to the US. To avoid the hassles that go hand in hand with international travel, the option of using Global Entry has been made available to US citizens, permanent residents, and foreign nationals. I already have TSA precheck which has been a game changer for domestic travel. But the Global Entry option is something that we looked into because we are now feeling comfortable enough to embark upon international travel. Therefore, we began the process by heading over to the US Customs and Border Protection website. You'll begin the process by entering pertinent information that will aide customs in performing an initial background check. You'll input your drivers license and passport identification numbers toward the end of the online application. Then, you'll wait to receive an email allowing you to finish the process in person. When you receive the email, it'll probably try to get you to complete the process at specified airports within the US upon returning from international travel. The other option was to make an appointment to come in person to complete your application. The appointments seem to book up quickly, but you can find appointments if you look during the early morning hours. I was able to get an appointment within a couple of weeks of receiving the email. When we arrived at the office of US Customs and Border Protection, I noticed people coming and going within less than 10 minutes. I brought my license and passport with me and checked in. Within 5 minutes, they called me to the back. I handed the agent my passport, he took my photo, the scanned my fingerprints into the system and then I was on my way. This was literally less than 10 minutes, Within a few hours, I received an email stating that my status for the application had changed. It was changed from pending to approved. Now, I'm waiting for my identification card to arrive in the mail and I'll be soaring at 30,000 ft to a different continent in the near future. For those who are wondering if this process is worth it, I'd say that it is because it'll make your re-entry into the US a lot easier. Anything that we can do to ensure the safety of all individuals in this country is worth it. Coming back from a long flight is always stressful and tiring to begin with. Going through customs can take longer than expected. I read a lot of the reviews on Yelp and I was a bit skeptical it would go as smooth as a lot of people mentioned. However, I showed up to my appointment early and they were very organized and the entire process was fast. Checked in, they called my name few minutes later, spoke to the officer and answered some basic questions ( pretty much what the application asked ) and then was on my way. The entire process took maybe :20 minutes if that. I was told I would get confirmation email within a week and if approved my card within a month, well, just hours later I got the approval email with my Global Entry number to use right away. I applied online for Global Entry with TSA Precheck on April 1, 2024. I got an email the next day that I was preapproved and ready to schedule an interview. You have two options for the interview - either at LAX when you arrive from an international flight (no appointment necessary, but highly unpredictable wait times because it's all done inside the airport Customs area). Or, you can schedule an appointment at this Global Entry place near LAX. I did the latter and it was a quick and easy process! This place is listed as closed on the weekends, but I was able to schedule a time on Saturday, April 6. Parking can be nuts around here, but people are coming in and out quickly so spots do open up frequently. I waited until it was my appointment time before going in and you check in with a person and they call you in to see a Customs Officer. In hindsight, I probably could have showed up a few minutes before my appointment time and get it done even earlier. They asked me several basic questions, took my photo (if you care about the way you look in photos, please come prepared - I was caught off guard), scanned my passport, and I was out the door in 8 minutes. A week and a half later, I received a letter in the mail with my Global Entry card with TSA Precheck number. People were friendly and efficient here. If you travel internationally and want to skip longlines or want to avoid the long TSA lines get this! If you cross the border and don't want to wait in those long car lines then get this! I travel a couple times a year by plane and also cross the Mexico border a couple times a year so this should be a game changer... this expedites your travel time so you can enjoy your vacation. The process: First submit an online application. It will ask you all kinds of questions including felony ones(they want to make sure you are safe) you also have to give them your passport number. You pay 100 dollars and wait to be approved. I got approved the next day. The next step is to make an appointment at one of their enrollment centers. You can also get an appointment if you arrive at LAX before 9 PM, unfortunately we arrived after 9 PM so we had to make an appointment at this site. The appointment: I was in and out of my appointment in about 10 minutes. It actually took longer to fill out the online application. I walked in and hadn't sat down when my name was called even though I was about five minutes early. The officer just asked the same questions that were on the application in order to verify she then took my passport and said I was approved. read more

Decided to apply for Global Entry after a family member recommended the program. The online process was fairly straightforward and responses were sent in a timely manner. I had to change my original interview date and was more than glad to see they were open to re-scheduling. I was a bit nervous not knowing how the interview would be like. I arrived a few minutes early, parked in the designated parking spot and entered the building. The lady at the front desk quickly assisted and was able to get me a few minutes early. The officer who helped me was very kind and helpful. He shared useful information and was open to all of my questions.
