"Dismissed, Undiagnosed, and Treated Like I Didn't Matter -- This Was Dangerous"…read more It hurts to leave this review because most of the staff at this Baptist Health location has always been outstanding. I've had great care here in the past, especially from someone named Toney, who has always listened and helped me feel better with accurate, compassionate treatment. But what happened on this visit was the complete opposite of that. I came in exhausted, aching, and clearly symptomatic -- telling the nurse that my daughter had just recovered from strep and I was now feeling exactly the same. Instead of being heard, I was immediately dismissed. The nurse barely looked at my throat, ran a quick and careless rapid strep test, and told me it was negative. She didn't even offer the standard 48-hour throat culture, which is the medical protocol when symptoms are present but the rapid test is negative. When I told her, "This isn't how it's usually handled -- when I see Tony when I feel like this," she looked at me and said, "Who's Toney?" I couldn't believe it. I told her he was one of her coworkers the other provider in the office-- someone who works at the same clinic and provides excellent care. Instead of acknowledging that, she looked at me and said, "Well, we're not going to do that because your throat looks fine." I was stunned. I was in pain, being clear about what I needed, and I was completely brushed off by someone who wouldn't listen, wouldn't follow protocol, and wouldn't even acknowledge her own colleague's name -- someone who's helped me before. Still in pain and frustrated, I drove straight to another clinic. They took me seriously, did a proper swab, and sure enough: my test came back positive for strep. When I called Baptist to file a complaint and ask for this nurse's name, they suddenly acted like they didn't know who I meant. That's unacceptable. If you're not going to listen to patients or follow basic protocol, then at least have the accountability to own up to it. I was mistreated, misdiagnosed, and dismissed. But science backed me up -- and I'm speaking up not just for myself, but for everyone else in Crawford County who walks into that clinic and deserves better.

He is an excellent dermatologist and sees not only me, but also my wife, my mother-in-law, my father and my mother. He helped my mother-in-law with some skin cancer and was able to successfully treat her with minimal issues. We trust him and we enjoy the care and professionalism of the clinic very much.

I called the next day, asked about the price, and cancelled the prescription. Luckily the pharmacy they selected to mail it to me every month hadn't filled it. So I cancelled the prescription. Then I cancelled my next appointment with the clinic. I was in bad shape when I arrived, so I wasn't quick enough to ask about the price, but a $1500 prescription that is almost never covered by insurance is something patients should be warned about. Now I'm worried they'll send it anyway. I'll call the pharmacy again this afternoon.

Disregard anything nice I have ever said about this place. I just got out of my filling appointment…read moreno less than 15 minutes ago. I am so distraught I went straight to yelp and will share my AWFUL experience so no one else has to do the same. I would rather have my teeth rot out of my face then step foot in this chamber of distrainment. Lets start with the part of my past that is pertinent to this situation. I had about two years of counseling because of my phobia of needles and syringes and have done very well getting over it (I have given blood 10 times). Well "Dr." Franzmeier came and sat down, leaned me back while having small talk. As soon as I was laid back and had my mouth open he had his tools out and needle already in my mouth. It would be nice to let your patients know when you are about to stick a needle in their cheek, SIR. So after I ask what it was I started freaking out a little bit because I had ZERO time to prepare for it. He just kept saying "you're making this out to be worse than it really is" and "you wont feel it". No compassion. No understanding. No giving me time to collect myself. He did it and walked off to do something else while the medication kicked in (I assume). I started crying. He comes back about five minutes later and starts working on my filling just as quick. The only thing I could hear in between his the conversation with his assistant about something that happened yesterday with her family was "dont move" and "keep your mouth open wide" and "dont close your mouth". He took his gloves off and walked off to another patient while the assistant finshed everything with me. Shouldnt have surprised me that he did so without saying anything to me much less check on me to see if I was still coherent. I didnt say another word when I got up out of the chair. That is the last payment they will ever recieve from me. I wont recomend them to anyone and he will have a letter in the mail from me very shortly telling him everything I have stated here. There are several good dentists in this area, he is not one of them. You are supposed to be a patient advocate in the medical field, not have them leave your office beside themselves.

Dr. Franzmeier is a fantastic dentist and a really good person. I appreciate his promptness and no…read morenonsense manner while I am in his chair. This is the only doctor I have ever had that never made me wait when I have an appointment, he is always on time. He and his staff appreciate punctuality as much as I do. His staff has always been friendly and courteous. I have lived in many places around the country and I was in the military so I have seen several different dentists and Dr. Franzmeier is the best dentist I have ever had. I have been seeing dentists long enough that I know what to expect and I appreciate it that he gets right to work. Be aware that Dr. Franzmeier is a dentist, not a psychoanalyst. If you require counseling, you went to the wrong office.

I went in on Sunday evening after having an asthma attack earlier that morning that pretty severe…read morebut had not been feeling myself the whole weekend so I wanted to rule out possibly heart attack. 5 min later I was back in a room being seen with the best care from testing of EKG , CT, lab and then Dr. Vick who took extra time to walk in after each lab to assure me of those results to then sit down and explain the one of which none of us were expecting result. He walked us through the steps of what the next 24 hrs would be now going from the ER to inpatient (across the hall). Now across the hall ( all of this had been done within 2 or so hours) where I was again treated extremely well. It was late so they brought me a book that I was able to order door dash from ( and I want to mention here the nurse was mindful of time and how late it was being a Sunday as well that everything would be closing) . Let's just say my entire experience here was wonderful considering I have had my fair share of inpatient experience throughout our area as well as NWA to compare with. I understand this is not an option for ever since they do not file with all insurance but those who are able to use them as an option vs Mercy or Baptist think about it the next time you walk in and see 12 hr wait ahead of you.
