JC did my taxes charged me alot to do it with a mistake they made i now have to pay over 10000 to irs extra. not worth this company they charge alot for very little read more

Not recommended esp. if someone is on a visa status or not so straight forward filing. My relative lost 1000s of dollars due to the incompetence and lost time that resulted in more problems and at the end, never got the returns. Though the case did not have a closure, now these guys are expecting some renewal or some sort of fee to further follow up which I know is going down the drain. Will never ever use this service and recommend only if you've a straight forward case which you can do it yourself!!! We switched to another service and quite happy with them. read more

I have 2 salons and have been shut down due to COVid 19 after numerous calls to get my tax info for Paychex protection loan I finally received information at 530 in the evening that I had a bill of $1000 due. They would not release my info until this was paid which would not have been a problem if I was ever billed which I was not. I explained I could pay half until I could go to bank in am and still they held my tax returns hostage. Therefore putting me at the back of the line for enrollment. Do not use this company. read more

If I could give these creeps zero stars, I would. They did my taxes for 10 years. This year they did them 2 months late, and completely wrong! I sent them back and they fixed them by late July. Then 2 weeks later I get a $920 late fee from state of NJ, so I called CSI for clarification 3 times over 3 weeks...no call back ( or answer email). Finally when it was obvious they instructed the secretary to tell me nobody was there and nobody could help, I blew my stack and started yelling and screaming at them. 2 days later they send me an anonymous email saying I am fired as their client and do not call us again...just when I needed them the most. Please avoid these low life's as they have zero integrity and I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to go to them. Reading these other reviews, it looks like they did the same job on many of their now 'former' clients. The fact that they hid behind the secretary then sent me an anonymous email speaks volumes on how they operate and I have zero respect for them. read more

After hearing Bill Spadea of 101.5 rave about this company, I called and spoke with Robert Greco. I told him that I used to have H & R Block do our taxes, but after watching the representative just plug in the numbers I was giving, I figured I could do the same thing with Turbo Tax, which is what I've done for the past 5-6 years. But then I thought perhaps CSI could do better for me, so I asked Mr. Greco what could CSI do that Turbo Tax couldn't. He told me, "I can't answer that question." What he could tell me was that they handle 15,000 returns per year while I handle one. That's true, but that wasn't my question. I was trying to decide between going with them or staying with Turbo Tax; I'm staying with Turbo Tax. read more

Pretty disappointing. Not communicative, ignored emails, would not share info or updates unless I called and asked. This lasted from when I dropped off my docs in Feb (to get it done early) until April 14th (when I called to make sure it was done on time). Charged an extra $250 to tell me whether we should file jointly or separately. Relative to other options in 2019, no where near worth what they charge. read more

Uggh, what a mistake. Was told on the phone "oh, yes, we can give tax advice--both my wife and I talked to phone rep and heard it". Told us to bring in previous years tax forms and current info so they could understand our profile. Found out that basically all they wanted was to get us into office to do taxes. That actually would have been ok if then they could have then given us the advice we needed. Would have been a good double check--even if he wanted to review things first and charge us. Get to office and had session with the most arrogant guy who basically told us "I don't know anything about those kinds of things and I won't learn it just for you." Maybe their investment services, etc could do that but not this guy and he's who they gave us. And can't speak for tax preparation because we left with nothing--even this guy told us "I don't know what I can do for you, you seemed to have done everything yourself anyway". We needed a CPA who knew tax advice. Their 800 phone number seems to imply that--the guy they scheduled us with supposedly met that claim, but not from what we saw. Perhaps it was just a double switch to pull a tax prep out of us to later get more, but we weren't amused by this guys attitude even if that's what they actually really needed first. read more

I used these folks for my taxes this year. I got their contact info from a friend who was super impressed with their service and their results, so I gave them a try. My refund this year was substantial and they even found a few bucks from last year that my previous preparer overlooked. I'll likely use them for 2016 too just based on the customer service and results alone! read more

CSI Group has the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Our taxes took three months to complete while numerous phone calls and emails were ignored by James. We ended up having another accountant finish our taxes instead. read more

I visited CSI GROUP LLP for my 2019 taxes. I met with Jack Tinari. I had a pleasant, quick meeting and left satisfied. It turns out that when they sent me the paperwork to file, there was an error with the filing of my taxes, which was handled by Jack Tinari. When I received my filing information it was increased by about $10,000.00. Of course, I inquired and after several phone calls that were not responded to by Jack I asked to speak to anyone who can help. It was then that John Tricarello explained that I had capital gains that were not applied to my taxes for 2019 and were caught by a second tier verification. I was disappointed that the number that I owed had grown substantionlly, but I understood. Recently, I called to speak to John Tricaello to discuss a notice of unpaid taxes to NJ. It turns out that I owed more money to the NJ government that wasn't paid. I then asked to speak to John who never returned my call. I spoke to Dana the assisting receptionist/administrative assistant who I dealt with previously and found to be condescending, agitated and rude. Ashley who I thought was kinder answered my last phone call today and asked me to find another tax group to complete my 2020 taxes without ever having someone explain why I owed NJ money. I am someone with an 820 credit score. I pay my bills on time and in full. Someone, who did not give me their name, but I suspect was Jack or John asked me to find another firm and proceeded to disconnect the call. Oh, by the way, I was engaged with their legal elder planning and trust representatives, Grecco and Scotto at the time, regarding my elderly mom. I also left messages for them today. Regarding that situation, I was told to send a $5000.00 retainer. I asked that they call me first to access the situation and have not hear back nor do I expect to. Caution!!!!!! I dealt with Amber at the Woodbridge, NJ location and will NEVER go back to CSI, They wanted to charge me $400 even after i told them i wanted to my file back, I went to a different accountant and CSI calculations were so off. I will never work with them. They love to steal money from clients!!! read more

Think twice before you decide to use the CSI Group. We used one of the tax services that merged with this group for twenty plus years. Since that merge, the service has become cold. No call backs and just the old run around when you get through to someone on the phone. They made a huge mistake on my return and it took them three weeks to respond. We still have not spoken to the person who we originally went here for. I would give them a zero if I could. read more

Had my taxes prepared in the Pennsville Office. Paid the $280 preparation fee...for hardly any work..a short form. Never received my state or federal refund. Called the office they returned my call once. Have been trying to reach them as I still haven't received the peanuts I am due. I have called the office every week or so (so I don't feel I am harassing them but not even a courtesty return call back. Rude...Linda read more
