Like not one Blink-182 record, no Descendants, I never even found a single Nirvana record; You know, the 3 most popular bands and most people's wishlist?? This is considering the several hours I've spent there. Also, lots of used, sometimes old and broken music equipment that are full priced; stuff that's $50-$150, that you'd realistically find at Goodwill for $10-$20. Some of the CDs are over $15 which is insane, considering the CDs they have aren't even organized; and 90% of them are bands/artists I literally have never seen. I will still show up every week for movies, but they need to rename it to Zia Video; because the DVD selection is actually the only reason I go now. I've found countless films I really want every time I've gone and I still haven't explored more than 15% of the shelves there.

There was a DJ shopping around and giving his recommendations to other patrons. It was just such a cool vibe. There's little gifts and collectibles too, and different formats for music available. If you can't seem to find what you are looking for, they have the full inventory online... But where's the fun in that? It takes away at treasure hunting. There were also some new and used Blu-rays, they sold 4k, DVDs. The store was a good size so, make sure you plan for some time away. After spending a good 2 hours going through some of the vinyls (there's two levels and we barely made a dent), we walked away with several vinyls (2 used and 3 new) and some used blurays. You could spend about $5.99 on average for used vinyls and $30-$40 for brand new. Total cost: $140 after taxes. I'm definitely coming back for sure!

If you're a heavy metal fan, you've heard of Metal Blade Records. It was one of the first labels…read morethat truly catered to this genre of music, featuring many of the best in the industry. When I heard Metal Blade founder/CEO Brian Slagel had moved to Vegas and opened a booth in the Antique Mall of America, I knew it was a place I wanted to check out. I've been a handful of times in recent years. The Antique Mall of America is HUGE, so just finding this place is a bit of a chore; it doesn't help that the outdoor strip mall where the facility is located is largely abandoned. Once you get inside there are a ton of vendors and twists and turns, but believe me, if you're a metal fan like I am, it's worth looking for. The Metal Blade store is technically THREE different kiosks in the mall. The two main ones are adjacent from one another, with one being mostly shirts/clothing, and the other being mainly CDs and vinyl releases. A third booth (located in a different part of the mall) mostly consists of hockey jerseys/related clothing/etc. While I'm admittedly not a sports fan, it was cool to see that the latter kiosk wasn't just limited to Golden Knights stuff. A divers selection is always a good thing. Those two main booths I mentioned before are where I spent most of my time. The shirts and such are offered for fair prices which is a nice change from the overpriced swag sold at concerts. And the vinyl and CD selection is nice too, including many vinyl LPs newly reissued by Metal Blade, not to mention a nice grab bag of assorted CDs. I walked away with two T-shirts and a 2CD Deep Purple set that was fairly cheap. The only issues I really have with this shop stem from the space, or rather, a lack thereof. Having booths in an antique mall isn't the same as having a standalone store, hence the lack of space and merch. I'm hoping Mr. Slagel can give us an independent store one way, possibly as part of the Metal Blade Museum that should be opening here in Vegas soon. Metal fans shouldn't hesitate to check Slagel's wares here out. It's a little tricky to find and on the small side, but worth it.

This Antique Mall smells more than any other Antique Mall that I have ever been in and that is the reason that I gave three stars. It smells like maybe dead grandma's underwear collection. I was amused by all the really weird handbags they sell here. I don't think that they are antiques but they sure are different. They also sell the usual rocks and minerals here. I did spot a few nice pieces of detailed antique furniture here and some interesting oddities. I couldn't find anything that I collect and I couldn't find anything my sister collects here but you might find all the junk here interesting if you can survive how much it stinks in here. I can't return because this place stinks too much. My husband had an upset stomach the next morning. I can't say for sure but I think it was from here. Happy Hunting parking is close . Use a gas mask if you have one.

Love, love, love how physical books are becoming a thing!…read more This location provides an ample amount of literature to peruse, and I don't mind the organization. It can get crowded, but that's to be expected for being located in Town Square. Not why I'm giving this Barnes & Noble a high rating though. It's always about the staff for me.... I had ordered books through my Barnes & Noble app for pick-up at this location, since they had the titles I wanted in stock. However, all the titles in stock were in paperback. It only took a day for the location to put my order together, which was nice, and I got the alert on my app and email. At pick-up I look at my ordered stack, and my heart just drops because it really bothers me my set is mismatched. The sales rep looks at me humorously, then my stack, and straight up asked "Is it bothering you that these aren't all paperbacks?" LOL. The hubby laughs, and admits it for me. Instead of making fun of me, she shows her equally nerdy side, empathizing with me! She quickly offers to return the single hardback of my series, and adds my contact information to a list of when my single item gets replenished in the correct form (paperback). Yes! There was more to the conversation, but I just appreciated how intuitive and friendly she was. It's not just her either -- the whole team at this location operate at the same high level of customer service. Again, it's just from my personal observances on multiple visits. Love my fellow book nerds.
